Great stay! The hosts are very nice and welcoming. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well equipped, exactly as described. Very well located, with several nice cities nearby for visits.

A wonderful place to stay, surrounded by nature and animals. Very clean and welcoming, and Dominique went over and above to allow us to check in early. Would highly recommend.

We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

We were welcomed by Didier one night. It was warm and thoughtful because he bought us a “survival kit” for breakfast and recommended us the exceptional places to visit…this area is a real favorite. The cottage is great, you feel at home very quickly with the spacious living room and its superb fireplace, the comfortable bedding, as well as the hot tub that served every day. The outside is amazing, it's in the middle of the quiet greenery, where crickets accompany our days and evenings. The cottage is equipped for children…toys, books, bikes, swings and slides. A stone's throw from the Château de Bonaguil, it's easy to enjoy one of the most beautiful castles in the area as well as the restaurant downstairs. Didier, thank you so much for this week, it was perfect!

Exceptional!! Everything was absolutely perfect, the place is beautiful and very well decorated. Gilles and Nicole are extremely kind and welcomed us very well to their peaceful haven. We were also able to enjoy the jacuzzi, the heated pool and the small vegetable garden in their garden. The optional breakfast was also delicious. These few days in their cottage were a truly enchanting break.

Despite a last-minute cancellation (sick child), Aline was extremely understanding and pleasant. I hope it was just postponed, and highly recommend this host!

Beautiful place to stay if you plan to come to the Lot. The house is very beautiful, decorated with great taste and very well equipped. Birdie was very available and responded favorably to all our requests. The garden is very pleasant for dinner in the evening. We will certainly come back here if we return to the region.

Great apartment right in the center of Sarlat's market area! It is very cozy and provides easy access to all the town has to offer. Parking was very convenient nearby as well.

We had a pleasant stay in Caroline and Bruno's charming house, in the heart of Cahors. What a pleasure to have coffee in the courtyard under the eyes of the neighborhood cats!

Our family of 6 and our dog stayed at Le Fournet Bas for one week. The place looks even better in real life than it did in the photos - rustic charm with modern facilities. The bedrooms worked really well — boys in the twin, girls in the double and we had the “old bread oven” annex. The saltwater pool was delightful, clean and well-maintained. The barbecue area was excellent and well-used throughout our week. We would recommend renting electric bikes from the nearby FatVelo - a great way to spend a morning/day. Also Chateau de Bonaguil is very close and well worth a visit. Nearby St-Martin-le-Redon is a beautiful little village, and Puy L’Évêque is also well worth a visit. Christine and Gérard were very welcoming and helpful and resolved any little questions quickly and without any fuss. All-in-all, a fantastic place to spend a relaxing week.

This house is an absolute gem. Perfectly located for exploring Castelnaud Chateau and other local sights. The garden view is lovely and is great fun when the balloons float past! A beautiful, characterful cottage in the heart of this historic village.

Wonderful place, beautiful house, typical of the area, exceptional with the cathedral ceiling. Very functional accommodation and above all very useful information for atypical visits. Especially the happiness of arriving with beds made and very comfortable. Linda is very responsive, friendly and gives very good advice for places to visit and lakes as well, don't hesitate to consult her blue binder. Second stay in the area and this one is my favorite, Cazals is a superb village with all the amenities 5 minutes from the house. Superb view, relaxing calm and inviting to the walk. A lovely peaceful place to relax. The house is very cosy and has a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the view. The pool is nice and large, and along with and the many other leisure facilities very well looked after. Alan and Fanny were very friendly and gave us some good tips on places to visit. It's a very short walk into the village where the Forge restaurant is well worth a visit.

Frankly, I've rarely had a rental of this quality on Airbnb. My friends and I from Beziers felt at home with the hosts for 4 days. The house is spacious, very well decorated and very functional. A crazy terrace overlooking the pool and a huge garden. In short, a golden opportunity to keep between us for more availability on future reservations. Atmosphere and total immersion in the world of Tolkien County. Young and old met in this magical place straight out of a fairy tale and especially from the creative spirit of our hosts. What talents!! Thanks for the suspended moment

Firstly the hosts were responsive from the moment we booked to right through to check out. It helps they live on-site so when we had questions/issued Tas was with us instantly. The house has an incredible wow factor, and the heated pool and outside setting was to die for. Perfect for a general pool party / bbq party. What we especially liked as 3 couples with babies and toddlers, Tas has a “just like home approach” meaning we were not at all worried about the kids. The house is well equipped and had 3 high chairs and cots (with matresses). The bedrooms are wonderful and beds very comfortable, for an old house even the shower pressure was good. This region is rural so with water nearby do expect the usual flies/bugs/mozzie. That said, I was not biten all week and there were ample citronella aids (raid) left in kitchen for us along with a welcome hamper. Hosts are English and cater for a UK audience very well. Noise was never a problem and we felt at ease al week.

Jenny and Marc were excellent hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and they are lovely people. The place is beautiful, the view is amazing, the gîte was very comfortable and well equipped. It is such a peaceful and tranquil place and the pool is superb. We cannot fault it at all. Thank you Jenny and Marc!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you could need. The house is ideally situated in the countryside yet only 5 mins away from the enchanting bastide town of Monflanquin. At night from the Dining room you have a tremendous view of Monflanquin all lit up, it’s breathtaking. The hosts are so kind and friendly, it’s so very easy to relax here. This is a holiday home to remember.

Highly recommended stay, spectacular place to disconnect. Correct communication with Helene, she gave us the possibility to leave the house later on the day of departure. It would be necessary to have another toilet, as it is such a large house, there are only two. Thank you for everything.

We spent two very good weeks with the family at Loic's house. The exteriors are well-maintained and furnished so you can spend time there. We enjoyed it. Loic was responsive, welcoming, friendly. We would recommend this listing to come in many in summer!
