The Palm House at Hjelmsjöborg

Nestled in a rhododendron in the northern part of Hjelmsjöborg Park is this octagonal tower Palm House. This is a very unique building where you get a home like nothing else. Five meters in ceiling height, beautiful stucco fixtures, brick paintings, a bathtub in the middle of the bedroom, spiral staircase, a stone-laid patio with a Mediterranean feel and not even a stone's throw from the house is Hjelmsjön's nice tennis courts. In the winter months, it can get a little cold, then you have to crawl up on the sofa and light a fire in the fireplace.

Lovely cottage from the 50s with nice vintage furniture inspired by the same decade. Is the last cottage on the way out on a headland in Vittsjö's lake area, so here you have the peace and quiet, but are still only a walk from shops and trains. The forest is close by and there are lovely hiking areas. Good fishing just meters from the front door. Wake up to a view of a beautiful lake! Enjoy the starry sky and the owls' hooting in the evening. From November 1, 2025, we will change one bedroom to a lounge and only accommodate two guests.

The house is secluded with few neighbors where you can get via a beautiful forest road along the lake. With only 200 meters to the nearest lake. The location of the cottage is a haven for the fishing enthusiast as there is opportunity for fishing. The house itself has a lot of charm with open nice living areas and fireplaces. Dog-Friendly Forest Cabin Steps from Lake

We wanted to find a comfortable summerhouse for 2 people and a dog in the woods or nearby. It's best not to be far from Copenhagen - Fredrik's cabin was a perfect fit for our criteria! The cottage is very cozy, clean and comfortable: dry (no damp smell), hot, with a perfect working shower, comfortable beds and pillows, and lots of little things that one doesn't have to bring from home: spices, oil, soap, shower gel, shampoo (even for a dog), etc. The house is located in a summerhouse village where it is very quiet and green. The lakes are very close. Since the swimming season had not yet started, we spent a lot of time in the woods where it was very beautiful! Communication with Fredrik was very easy - he always responded almost immediately! We are very happy with our trip to Vittsjö!

Super cozy cabin near forest and lake as well as far from the big city. We had a lovely trip in the provided canoe by the lake. Got good pizza from the local pizzaria (Robins). Had an endless amount of fresh blueberries and relaxed on the porch with a book. Ulla was quick to respond to questions. Definitely recommend this cabin for a family trip away from everything.

A very wonderful cottage. Very secluded - surrounded by greenery. We immediately felt comfortable there. Everything was available in the house. Great. I'm sure we'll be back. Thanks to the very friendly landlords Michael & Jette
