It was a beautiful and relaxing time!

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful property on the lake. It has that old cabin type feel but has all the necessities to be comfortable. The pontoon was great and we had a blast fishing off the dock. Would definitely come back!

Had a fun weekend here with some friends for a birthday getaway! It was a little gloomy but that didn’t stop up from using the canoes. The place was clean and spacious and we had a good time.

By far the cutest and cleanest Airbnb I’ve stayed at. We had a girls weekend here and it had everything we needed and more. The space was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! This was how I pictured the perfect cabin stay on the water. It was so relaxing and fun for me and my dog. My dog can be reactive, so to be totally secluded and at peace was amazing. This was the trip of her life! It was safe for her to roam around the woods and wade in the water, and there was a natural perimeter so she wouldn't go too far. Water was clean. The hammocks, watercrafts, hot tub, fire pit, and cabin decor were all great! This was a good time of year to go and barely any bugs. AC worked well. I could see people struggling a lot with the driveway in the winter, but you could always park at the top and walk down if absolutely needed. Host was great. Thank you for everything!

Sunset Cottage is the perfect weekend getaway place! We loved the West facing lake view for the amazing sunset each night, time in the hot tub each morning/evening, and enjoying the cozy cottage vibes. The town of Amery is great too, lots of restaurants, shops, and trails. Marjorie was also super helpful for everything we needed. We can’t wait to be back.

This was a truly spectacular place to stay, with beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, and a very communicative host who accommodated all my needs perfectly. An extremely comfortable cabin and excellent for families. 10/10 and will be back.

My yearly visit to my family and wanted a quiet place on a lake. This meet my needs

Elena's place was fantastic. It is located a very quiet street right on the Apple River. The views of the river are absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed kayaking on the river and just taking in the scenery. There's also a great fire pit right next to the river. Inside the house was nicely decorated, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. There is also a great office in a secluded spot behind the laundry room with a monitor available to use. Good wifi signal made it possible to get some work done at night. Would love to come back some day.

We had a wonderful stay!! The place is even better than it is pictured in photos! Megan was also a very responsive host. We definitely hope to stay again.

I felt like we were back in the days of vintage Minnesota small town lake cabin life. My husband, I and our dog Gus had a great weekend staying here. It was very quiet and serene, we heard lots of birds, and enjoyed watching the lake. The interior was Scandinavian themed and cozy. We appreciated the water and food dishes for Gus and the convenient dog poo bags. We got pizza from Pizza Pub and lunch at Gustav’s. The art gallery next to Gustav’s was very cool. Also hiked at interstate sp and got ice cream in Taylor’s Falls.

We have rented many cabins over the past dozen years. Never found one that made us want to make a new reservation for the next year. Until now. Chris's cabin had everything we dreamed about. It was very clean and well decorated. Looked just like their online photos. Couldn't be any closer to the lake without being in it, our dog (lab) loved it. The beach was clean, and you could easily walk out 40 feet in the water, and there was a floating pad to swim to. The lake was clean enough to swim in (we know Chris didn't clean the lake) but it made it that much better. A fire pit close to the cabin and waterfront. The kitchen was stocked with more appliances and utensils than what we could use during our stay. Same with the board games (dozens) and water toys. When it was time to be indoors, it was comfortable and relaxing. There were many windows so you could always see the water and sunsets. Long dining room table and multiple tv's. And if this was not enough, 11 min drive to town.

Great location and the property was even better than described. They thought of everything you would need and then some.

Beautiful cabin surrounded by beautiful woods. The large patio is one of the best features. Jacquelyn was friendly, helpful, and responsive.

The house has stunning views and was absolutely perfect for our annual fishing trip. The lake access was a bonus. There was plenty of space for everyone, the beds were comfortable and seating was ample. I would absolutely utilize this home again.

Cabin was exactly as descibed. Plenty of space for 6 adults to relax for a weekend, cook, and socialize. We went in winter/early sping so not much activity in the lake but the deck is a great spot to take in the view. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again.

Loved your cabin!! so peaceful! loved seeing the eagles all day, catching small mouth bass, and lots of deer! your place is perfect for families with small kiddos, lots of toys, movies and games. he thought of it all! definitely will stay there again if we're in the area. thank you again for opening up your home.

Nice little lake place close to Lindstrom and Taylors Falls/St. Croix Falls. 2 decent size bedrooms with comfy linens. Super cool to have the Nordic House within walking distance. Smart TV is there so you can watch shows. Good basic kitchen. Fire pit was awesome but would be nice if there was a fire poker available to mange things. Some basic grill tools and maybe an extra propane would be have been nice touches. We had a great 3 nights and would be back for sure. I only threw out those suggestions as ways to amplify an already great spot. Cheers!

This is a beautiful cabin. It is very clean and well stocked. Lisa was very helpful and responsive to our request. The views were amazing! We enjoyed taking the boat out to watch the sunset. We are looking forward to another stay.

Our family of 4 loved staying a long weekend at this cabin - Michael, with team cabin, is a very gracious and thoughtful host! We mostly enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and the natural surroundings from the large bay window and the deck. The kayaks were a big bonus, we all took turns exploring the lake. Watching the turtles, great blue herons, king fishers, ospreys and other birds by the water was awesome, and we spotted a black squirrel too! We went swimming a couple of times even if the lake can be a bit weedy. Cooking and grilling was easy with the help of the nicely stocked kitchen. Our last evening we got to witness a mesmerizing storm over the lake from the indoor coziness - so cool!

It’s a roomy lake cabin with lots of spots spread out or get together! It’s has a beautiful view of the lake and very comfortable beds and furnishings! We enjoyed our time together with our granddaughter. There are plenty of places around the area to explore 😀

I book a home rental every year, at least once, and have had varying experiences. Brian's place had all the kitchen equipment/supplies that are sometimes missing. The lot is flat so we can see the kids in the lake from the porch and the lake is nice and shallow for swimming with our little ones. We had plenty of room and the bedrooms are set up for the perfect sleeping arrangements for our crew. It was easy to get in and Brian was always available when something came up. We appreciated Brian's suggestions for dining and touring and hope to do more of that next year. The only feedback that we all agreed upon was the couches are very slouchy toward the back and the chair was almost unusable. Maybe some foam under the cushions would help? The other seating was beautiful and very comfortable. It felt homey and was decorated very nicely. We hope to book again for next year!
