House holiday rentals in Playa Chiquita

Erin and her husband are incredibly warm and welcoming people who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The house is beautifully laid out, especially for a family with young children and perhaps grandparents as well. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are conveniently located close together on the lower level, and there is another bedroom with a private bathroom upstairs. There are two spacious terraces — one on the ground floor and one upstairs — perfect for doing yoga or meditation while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The pool and house offer complete privacy, which made our stay feel truly relaxing and secluded. At the same time, it’s reassuring to know that Erinn and her husband live nearby, always available to help or offer great local tips. Both are incredibly kind and helpful. The pool is fantastic — you can keep an eye on the kids. We felt incredibly comfortable and were warmly welcomed by Erinn and her husband. We will definitely come back on our next visit!

I fell in love with this place, the guys were very attentive, always looking out for our comfort, cleanliness and satisfaction Connection with nature, extremely quiet, full of greenery and animals I highly recommend this accommodation, I'm leaving very happy and I'll obviously be back <3

this place was as we had hoped, it was so nice having a private pool for when it got hot and humid and we didn't want to walk to the beach! having a black sand beach 5 minutes away was so beautiful as well. we really enjoyed our stay

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

Very pleasant, excellent location in the middle of the forest and beach nearby. Comfortable and modern house with easy access. We'll most likely be back!

I loved this accommodation, it's just like the photos, super clean, I managed to see a sloth from inside the property, surrounded by nature, the best accommodation I've booked, thanks to the host. I hope to be back

The home was beautiful and looked just like the photos! Please keep in mind this is an open concept home. So understandably nature will join you if you are sitting in the outdoor common area. We very much enjoyed evenings playing in the pool. The kitchen was stocked with all the needed utensils to cook meals. AC worked great in all the bedrooms. Area felt super safe with 2 gates to get into the home. Can’t wait to come back! Host was prompt and responded to any questions we had.

Beautiful home. Dawn, the host and owner, lives downstairs and she was incredibly kind and helpful. Pictures don’t do the home justice - it’s stunning - with an incredible yard. Used the pool and meditation deck daily, both of which were amazing.

This beautiful home is located in the jungle and is an absolute masterpiece of a property. Seeing monkeys in the yard that you’re staying at was a really cool experience. The host was so helpful with recommendations on the way in and on the way out of town. Our car even broke down and he sent his assistant to be able to help us out. His assistant was able to get the car started and they refused to take any money from us. Beautiful house from beautiful people. So grateful.

This was s last minute booking and we ended up getting in late at night. Kristel was very helpful at the late hour and we had a terrific stay! It was a little difficult to find in the dark and rain but easy to find in the daytime!!

We had a wonderful stay at Tracie and Terry’s place. They were very welcoming and had a few grocery items to get us started. We were also treated to some of Tracie’s baking - her chocolate chip cookies are amazing! The kitchen was very well stocked of everything you’d need. The wrap around porch is gorgeous and the view from the back of the house makes you feel a world away. This is a great opportunity to spot birds and other wildlife. We were very lucky to see many Green McCaws and Toucans in addition to others. You are a little out of town so I’d recommend having a vehicle. We love the ability to go explore town and then return to the peace and tranquility of the house. The house is well laid out. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The fans are great and work well to keep the house cool. No need for AC. The house is well maintained. Tracie and Terry were there if needed but not at all intrusive. They had great local recommendations. We hope to visit again.

This is the most relaxed I have been in years. I’d stay a year if I could afford it. The sounds of nature just make it so easy to drift off to a nice sleep. The outside kitchen was not difficult to work with. Everything I needed was literally right there. The pool is perfect for relaxing in and is private. While I have a child, it was particularly nice to have a kid free atmosphere where you can just relax. There are so many things to do near by and Jim and his wife are lovely. Luna, the pup, is an absolute joy. I already miss it and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your hospitality and the relaxing weekend. 🫶🏽

We absolutely loved our time in the casita. Playa Chiquita was the perfect location for us, much quieter than Puerto Viejo or Playa Cochles, but with wonderful, charming restaurants and close proximity to Punta Uva, the beach we frequented. The casita itself is well-equipped for preparing meals at home and the glassed-in dining area was a joy. I could spend hours in the hammock, rain or shine, watching the rainforest and listening to the sounds of the jungle. We saw Spider monkeys playing in the trees and a sloth came to visit on the property! The pool was refreshing and wonderful to have after sweaty outings exploring the coast. We were also relieved that though we had several power outages (which is the norm in CR), they were resolved in a very timely matter and there was an emergency light in the living room so we were never completely in the dark. If we make it back to the area we would definitely stay there again!

I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and this was by far my favorite. My family did an extended stay here, and the hosts truly became like family as we got to know them :) They were incredibly helpful with recommendations, places to visit, restaurants, and even gave us a tour of their bee rescue with stingless, friendly bees. We absolutely loved our time in Costa Rica and felt so lucky to have found this place. The location is a few minutes drive into the jungle and just 10 minutes from the best beaches we’ve ever been to, along with grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. When we make another trip to Costa Rica, this will be our top pick without question. The location and the hosts made the whole experience unforgettable. Surrounded by nature, which was what I was looking for with my family, a lot of order, cleanliness, a pool and a clean jacuzzi.

Great little, simple and clean house. Good location. Walkable. Quiet. Grocery store around the corner. We enjoyed our 3 nights here.

We had a wonderful stay and felt completely at home. Juan Carlos was a fantastic host—always available, helpful, and full of great tips for the area. The house was very clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! It was so peaceful and quiet. It was really nice and clean just as described. The restroom and shower were really spacious. Everything was amazing! we even spotted some monkeys and sloths outside. Itisha was so nice and always responsive :)

This was the most perfect stay be had in the Caribbean. I live in CR and had a friend visiting so we showed her the Caribbean side. This Airbnb is right next to a dive shop with tons of tours available. Restaurant with an amazing breakfast right down the road. Walking distance from one of the best beaches ever. Wildlife all around. We saw EVERYTHING! Sloths, monkeys, macaws and all. I will definitely be back. She kept a broom in the Airbnb which helped us sweep up sand during our stay. Ac was ice cold. Hot water was hot! Ice packs to use in the freezer. Ice trays. Delicious coffee. I could go on and on. She was also very responsive accommodating and kind. 100/10

Great place. It is super close to the beach, just a short walk. We saw lots of monkeys, birds and butterflies. There is also a restaurant literally next door that is amazing! It’s a bit of a drive to the center of Puerto Viejo (about 20 minutes) but it’s a nice and secluded area. We enjoyed our stay.

This house is small but well equipped with everything we needed. What makes this home stand apart is location, location, location! It is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches you could imagine. The host is amazing as well, helping us out with a few issues we had on our trip (not related to the house). Overall, we were very happy with the house and the amazing customer service. Stay here, you will not regret it.

A lovely, authentic, Costa Rican home. A Playa Chiquita OG and perfect if you are looking for an authentic experience of the area. It is very spacious and would be great for a family or group of people. The Argentinian restaurant just down the road is very good too!
