Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pithari

My friend and I stayed at the accommodation for 5 days and were very satisfied with our stay. The apartment is on the ground floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. The beautiful terrace with whirlpool is worth highlighting. The location is great. It is about 15 minutes by car to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is in a quiet location. It offers a good starting point for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fresh Greek salad, oranges, and wine. A few days later, we received fresh vegetables from the garden. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall, we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

Our stay in Chania was wonderful. The apartment is very spacious and the outdoor areas are beautiful. Ioanna was very accessible and friendly.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

What a wonderful house! We were surprised to be so close to 2 lovely beaches, great hikes and a delicious restaurant. We’re a family with 3 young kids and they loved the swing, swinging bench, jacuzzi, space to play inside. Dimitris left a baby crib, high chair, and toddler potty for us which was super helpful. The best was Dimitris was very kind upon greeting us late at night when we arrived.

We had a perfect stay at Dimitra’s beautiful house. She was super responsive, helpful, and friendly. The house is spotless and has all the amenities you need. The location is peaceful and secluded but also easy to get to nearby restaurants and beaches. We wished we could spend the whole summer here!

Fantastic stay! Alkis was very accommodating and quick to help. He organized cars for us, had recommendations and was all around a great host. The place was perfect for us and a perfect location just steps to the beach. We have little kids so a quick beach break worked famously for us. We debated staying in the old town but I’m extremely glad we didn’t. Highly recommend!!

Four friends and I stayed in this rustic, charming, beautiful and overall homie space for 7 days while we attending a wedding and we all unanimously could not have been more happy! This is a space that you feel so great walking into over and over. I had the best meal of my life with the entire party literally around the corner… maybe 20 steps and we were all in glee. The entire area in old town is gorgeous. You cannot see it any other way. There is a vibe to match your needs somewhere around another corner no matter what you look for on your trip. Shopping was excellent. The feeling of safety was consistent throughout the trip. People are friendly and common throughout the town even throughout the wee morning hours as many places do stay open quite late to always provide an option. I had said by day 1 I knew I would already come back here. Vassilis was a proactive and responsive gentleman in hosting. Truly a pleasure to deal with him and I really do hope to return for vacation. The apartment is as it appears in the photos, the terrace is huge, very cool, comfortable for breakfast, lunch or dinner watching the sea. Costas was always available, and left us a basket of fruit, muffins and chocolates. The area is fantastic to spend a few days and get to know part of the island. It is a tourist area but very quiet and comfortable, next to the beautiful town of Chania, which is wonderful and from the apartment you can walk a beautiful one-hour walk. By car it is less than 10 minutes and by bus that stops next to the house. Everything was very comfortable. The beach is also nice and the winged one is very beautiful.

Fantastic Villa for our family party. Spacious, well equipt and with lovely pool and view. There are nice (and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance too). Neighbourhood was peaceful. We felt very much at home, mainly due to the fantastic hosting. Georgia and Andreas are so friendly. Cheerful , beautiful people. They want to make every part of the stay special. Thank you both! ❤️

Absolutely beautiful location, 2 minute walk to the main Old Port area and tons of nice shops in the back streets.

This place was super cute and very convenient in a area in town that is close to everything but not loud at night and less touristy. I would definitely recommend it and he was very responsive as a host. Every time I call he was there right away and answered right away. The place is also very attractive.

Super clean, incredibly well-stocked, brilliant peaceful location on the water, thoughtful and responsive host. What more could you ask for? Our family of five had a wonderful time here and would definitely return. A great home with a terrific host!

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful and convenient holiday with children. Wissam,

We were immediately received super warmly by the landlord. The accommodation was fantastically beautiful, the sight was hard to describe. The rooms and the complex were very well maintained. The landlord is super nice, but not intrusive at all. We would come back anytime!

We had a wonderful stay that was far too short at Georgios's. Its studios are very comfortable, located in a peaceful place and environment. The decoration is done with great taste and the small kitchen is a real asset for making meals on site. The beds are comfy and the nights are very quiet. The beach, restaurants and small shops are within walking distance. Georgios is very welcoming while remaining discreet. The pool is superb and pleasant when returning from a hike. Nassos's was a great host, provided link and websites to use for bookings. Was always responsive and also accommodate all my requests at his best. We did not stay long to use the pool, but have to say one of the best looking and cleanest pool I have seen in Crete!

Breeze House was prettier than the pictures, very large and well laid out and decorated. So much deck space to dine lounge read etc! Easy and convenient location to drive to beaches and attractions while not being in a crowded tourist part of town. Well stocked kitchen that was great for breakfast before heading out for the day.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Kedria! Along with the amazing view of Chania and Souda, the house was incredibly beautiful, clean, and provided everything we needed for our stay in Chania. The hosts were extremely hospitable and responded to every question and request promptly. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was an extension of their home. They provided all of the necessary baby gear and essentials for our little one, who also had a great time enjoying the pool. We’ve never had more caring and responsive hosts. They gave us so many travel tips and food recommendations that made our stay here in Chania one of our most memorable vacations. HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Nektaria and Niko’s’ hospitality is unmatched! They are such lovely and delightful people and made all of our family feel right at home from the moment we met them. The views and home are one of a kind! Such a special place my family will always remember. Absolutely would recommend to anyone visiting Crete and hope to be back again! :)

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.
