Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Pisgah Forest, Transylvania County

What a beautiful place, secluded, huge space for all of us! We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, next time would definitely stay longer! The white squirrels were an intriguing sight in the woods surrounding us. The children thought that was too cool, and made great use of the ping pong table as well!

Michelle's place is as described. It's small, but it's super clean and well organized. The design makes the unit feel bigger than it is. The kitchen is tiny but if you want to cook something you can make it work. Everything you need to cook a meal is there.

Fantastic all around experience staying at Todd’s place. Perfect spot to stay for a MTB trip, located btwn Pisgah and Dupont. Ecusta Brewing and Oscar Blues within a short ride away. Will def be back.

This place was lovely! It was close by to great hiking and the layout of the house was great for our family. We had a really nice stay in the mountains and would come back again!

This place was an absolute gem. It was really, REALLY clean. I think the hosts emphasize how much they clean, and it really shows. It was conveniently located to Asheville. Definitely recommend staying here!!!

What a cool mountain hideaway! The location was convenient to town, as well as to hiking, mountain biking and fishing. The house itself is roomy and comfy but our favorite hang-out spot was the outside area, with its covered seating area, fireplace AND fire pit (and wood-fired pizza oven!). There's also a little wood stove on the covered porch, another wood stove in the "parlor" area of the living room and even a gas fireplace. If you like sitting by the fire, this is the place for you! Alas, a bit too warm during our late-spring stay for fires. We heard neighbors a couple times but otherwise it was almost eerily quiet up there. The hosts were super communicative and helped ensure check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Next time I'm back in the Brevard area this will be my first choice for home base. Five stars all the way!

The Byrd Box is a delightful cottage in a serene location, stocked with all the amenities you could want for a delightful stay. Rebekah is friendly and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Hendersonville is a small town with a wonderful Main St (not too common today), with restaurants and shops aplenty - just a short drive away. There is a new bike path very close to the cottage.

We spent 3 days at Dawn and Ron’s Asheville home. Their space was very clean, smelled nice, and had every convenience you could possibly need. Unfortunately it was rainy during our trip so we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the patio/grill or the goats, but they did greet us with wagging tails as we came and went! Loved the waffle bar and complimentary coffee - such nice touches that made breakfast a breeze! Also loved that they provided toiletries and washer/dryer. This space provided all the comforts of home, about 15 minutes to all the AVL activities. Dawn and Ron were very communicative and kind hosts. Would recommend their home to anyone!

The place was great, even though it was a very quick stay. The mattresses were very comfortable, place was clean & inviting. My wife really admired their garden and has now decided we are adding a butterfly garden to our farmstead. We would def stay again.

Kathy is an amazing host, and the accommodations are exactly like the photos. We enjoyed our stay so much we requested to extend another night! Very welcoming peaceful surroundings. Gorgeous stone FP and kitchen backsplash. Decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable, and the bath towels were excellent. We had everything we needed. Our dog was welcomed with treats and a dog toy. We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to be close to Brevard and the surrounding areas. We will stay again when in the neighborhood. We stayed at Lynn’s place for a few days while visiting family nearby. We appreciated the clear instructions and easy check-in. The Airbnb was very clean and comfortable- we were able to find everything we needed with ease. There are a lot of thoughtful touches that make this place special (we loved the towel warmer in the bathroom). Lynn was very friendly and accommodating and provided a comfy high chair for our 10 month old baby. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, and we're very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Kelle and Max have created a beautiful space to stay. It's very clean, well equipped, and all directions and instructions clear and helpful. Kelle is a famous communicator, and quick to respond. Many thanks to them for providing a space that enhanced our travel experience! I will be recommending this place to friends!

Our family is always grateful to stay at Mary Ann's beautiful property! We've stayed here multiple times now and hope to continue to do so whenever our travels take us through the Asheville area. This property is truly a gem - peaceful, beautiful mountain view, a tree swing, lots of greenspace for the kiddos to run around outside after long car rides, comfortable big beds, a lovely bathroom, cozy living room and lots of much appreciated extras in the kitchen like KCups and creamers, pop tarts, waffles, water and juice. And if you ever need anything, Mary Ann is super responsive. It truly feels like a respite for us along long family trips, like getting to stop at a home away from home. We love this special place! Thank you so much Mary Ann!

Susan’s place was quiet, clean, and spacious! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for our dog crates inside as well as a backyard and neighborhood for us to walk with our puppies! The sectional was great for movie watching at the end of a day exploring!

I stayed at this cabin for a weekend and it was exactly as described. The cabin was beautiful, thoughtfully stocked, clean, and private. The instructions to find the cabin were very helpful, so I highly recommend reading over them. If you are looking for a cabin in a peaceful and scenic location, you have found one here!

Jaclyn’s place was gorgeous. It was exactly as described—spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The view is spectacular. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. The cozy living area made it feel like a home away from home. The host was very communicative and gracious. I would highly recommend the wonderful home.

Staying at Jennifer’s mountain retreat was truly a magical experience. From the moment we booked, Jennifer was incredibly responsive, kind, and thoughtful, making the entire process smooth and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and convenient. The cabin itself was mesmerizing..honestly, the photos don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful in person. Every detail of the space felt mindfully designed, and the peaceful mountain views were exactly what we were hoping for. We especially loved the little touches like the hummingbirds visiting the feeder, the incredibly cozy fireplace on the deck, and the charming bee-themed decor. The bed was super comfortable, the linens were spotless, and the overall atmosphere was calming and rejuvenating. This place is a true sanctuary in nature, and I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Jennifer, for creating such a beautiful and memorable space! PS: Your honey is incredibly delicious. A must buy!

Loved our stay a the A frame and enjoyed the quiet, beautiful woods. The cabin had everything that we needed and the host was very responsive to our needs and requests! She was flexible with scheduling and check-out! Would stay here again and would recommend to others. One note: the uphill drive on the gravel road is no joke. As she described in the listing it is quite steep and bumpy. My 2-wheel drive Hyundai Tuscan made it up safely but did make me a bit nervous when the tires began to spin out for a moment on a steep section. Coming down was much easier!

Can't wait to come back! So glad to have found this beautiful gem. It was so peaceful & I loved seeing the sheep. Everything was smooth & clear in communication. One of my favorite parts was the hammock out front & all the cute and wonderful decor. Thank you Ms Sharon ~ we're so grateful !!

My husband and I loved our stay. Hung out with our daughter, son in law and grandson on the porch. The bed sleeps very comfortably. Loved that we had rain at night and was lulled to sleep by the rain drops on the tin roof. It’s very peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's cabin! It was so peaceful to eat outside on the deck while soaking up the beautiful mountain view! The cabin had everything we needed including dishes including a well stocked kitchen. The only thing that might be helpful for other renters to know is that the parking area is tight and you need to be comfortable backing out of the steep drive down by the house. We did not need 4-wheel drive to get in or out of it, but we were here in June. There is a parking area at the top, but it would be a decent walk to carry bags, etc down to the house. It was also tight for us to turn around up there but doable in our Ford Explorer. If we had driven our Dodge Ram 2500, we would not have been able to turn around up there, and we would've had to back out a very long gravel drive down to the road. This does not impact my five star review. Amanda is an amazing host! We would definitely stay here again!

Location was great, and the host was very nice and responsive. Everything was accurately described. The creek on the property was super nice as was the fire ring. We would recommend it and definitely enjoyed our stay
