Family-run Lodge - Rainforest in Manu near Cuzco

BrianRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Once we found the Puente Tono we were quickly able to find the lodge. It's tucked back and away from the town and nestled right in a hillside. The grounds were wonderful and our cabin was spotless. With a nearby river to explore and nice hiking trails right off the property there was always something to see. We hung out during the evening with the kind folks running the place. It was everything we wanted in a rustic jungle stay.

Terra Manu Cabins

BraydenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a very relaxing time staying with Carolina! The cabin was spacious and offered a beautiful view with a hammock to relax in. We saw many beautiful birds from the balcony 🦜🐦 The pool was a lifesaver during the heat of the day 🌞 Typically we went for a morning walk to enjoy the beautiful surrounds, then retired to the pool to unwind during the rest of the day - very relaxing! They made us dinner each night of local dishes, which were delicous! We also had the opportunity to join a small tour group and go into the jungle for some hikes, staying two nights there. Overall, we would go back and highly recommend staying with Carolina and Oliver 🙂

Manu Endemic Reserve & Lodge

EnricoRating, 5 stars7 months ago
It was an overwhelmingly beautiful experience: since the room is only separated from the jungle with mosquito nets, without windows, you get the entire noise at night, and can watch the many birds and butterflies during the day, also from the terrace or from the small kitchen. The host is extremely friendly and helpful, speaks very good English, has excellent biology skills and is committed to environmental protection. She took us to the numerous hiking trails that are laid out around the resort. It also took us to the bird watching spots in the area. We paid her for the time she took for us. Clean and new. Hard to find, but this should be corrected soon. In the djungel sometimes a bit adventurous drive, yet no problem for our (deep, 2WD) Toyota Yaris.

Gallito de las Rocas Lodge

Very nice place to stay within close reach of Manu Biolodge. An unaffiliated but excellent restaurant is operated on the uppermost floor for extreme convenience. Included locked parking area was appreciated for ease of mind.

shintuya hot springs 2

TamaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
if you want peace in nature, this is the place! the hut was as indicated a neat toilet and a shower present. there is no WiFi or electricity. keep in mind that you have to cook yourself. the kitchen in minimal but has everything you need (we ate pancakes for breakfast). on 10/15minutes sailing is a village with a supermarket where you can buy food and there is also wifi. ask jhohan if he wants to take you that way and then it will be all right. The hotspring was super! (you can determine the heat yourself) and within walking distance is a waterfall where you can also swim. You are really secluded from the world, very nice if you want to relax in nature. With Jhohan you can also go on an excursion. Ask him what is possible. Jhohan can speak English well enough to understand him, he was friendly and we could always ask him questions. We did not realize that we had to arrange dinner ourselves. The first evening he cooked wonderfully for us!

Jungle house in Manu National Park.

Ben NelioRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a really great stay here. Before we were even there, we had a great communication and already a lot of infos about the way to the place etc. The place was really nice and Melva and Darwen were really helpful in terms of activities we could do around the place. All in all it was a really nice and calming stay with a lot of help from the two, I think they’re one of the best hosts you could probably have:)

Manu Hot Springs (room with private bathroom)

CorinneRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This apartment has fully satisfied us! You are in the middle of the jungle, in your bamboo hut and the shower is almost outdoors, there are mosquito nets but you are practically in communication with the outside, if this is for you it will be beautiful. There is an area for cooking, in the evening it attracts a few cockroaches being outdoors but it is very functional, attached an area with tables, hammock and armchairs, all outdoors but sheltered from the rain. A few steps away you can find a warm, magnificent natural pool, and a little further away there are waterfalls. Johan can accompany you on excursions around the reserve, I recommend doing at least one! We relaxed and were in touch with the true reality of the Manu, thanks Johan :)
