Cottage holiday rentals in Pillac

For a few days we were able to enjoy the beauty and comfort of this cottage, located in the heart of a very charming area, as well as the kindness of its owners, Kenneth and Jan. We would highly recommend it and will gladly stay again.

We had a great stay at Alexandra's, who was very welcoming and available to us. We particularly appreciated the small touches in the accommodation (towels, cotton buds, coffee, tea, etc.) and were able to fully enjoy the place (special mention to the jacuzzi!) I will definitely recommend this accommodation in the future!

We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

Great for a short stay in a beautiful part of France! The host instructions re. local amenities and activities are super helpful given the relatively remote location.

An amazing home with a special mention for the kitchen (spacious, very well-equipped, a real pleasure to cook with the family). The accommodation is warm, the bedding very comfortable. It is spacious and tastefully decorated. We also appreciated having a bathroom for each room, the spa outside, the charm of the small village. Thanks also to Dominique, the person we were in contact with, who was responsive whenever we asked.

i think I've never rented such a clean place and what a pleasure! The house matches the description and even better than the photos. The kitchen equipment is top notch. We felt right at home and it's not easy! Quiet house but shops are 5 minutes away by car. We found the hot tub nice to spend the new year. Thanks to Pauline for his availability and hospitality. Relaxing and refreshing family stay. Do it again in summer for this time to take advantage of the swimming pool.

Great stay at Mike and Mandy's in their lovely very warm cottage. The property and, the garden are beautiful, the environment very picturesque, with all the comforts of course! Mike is discreet but always there if needed with great kindness:-) So we found exactly what we were looking for for our Family Weekend, and we enjoyed the family good times spent on the covered terraces overlooking the valley:-) A real beautiful experience in this corner of heaven. We absolutely recommend!!

The house was really beautiful and had a good size outdoor area which was great for sunbathing and relaxing. Katherine left us a welcome pack which included fresh croissants and bread, orange juice, milk, butter, jam and a very nice bottle of wine! Very much appreciated. Each room has a fan and the shutters keep the house nice and cool. The house is in a quiet location but perfect for exploring the Dordogne and Charente. A car is a must.

Perfect accommodation, full of amenities for good cooking ;) Garden and great panoramic terrace, the river nearby and exchanges with Dorothée very easy throughout the stay. Great!

Jean-Marc’s place is truly idyllic. We had a wonderful few nights here and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The place is absolutely perfect with a huge patio, a great swimming pool and a lovely interior. Jean-Marc was an excellent host - super welcoming from the start and throughout our stay. 10/10!

Thank you for this charming cottage, we had a great time there as a family. The garden is superb, wooded, quiet and pleasant. The freshness of the house is very pleasant in summer. Everything is as described, with a bonus of toy bins for the kids!! :)

Thank you for a very relaxing stay. We found the gîte to be exactly as described, with all the amenities needed. The area is very pretty and we enjoyed exploring for the few days we were here. Peaceful and pretty area.

We had a wonderful stay in the house. The arrival was a little earlier and was no problem. Super friendly people who were always ready and responded immediately. The location was very quiet and enjoyable ! Definitely recommended for unwinding

The moulin is a very original and comfortable accomodation. the ground floor is the moulin at the first and second floors is the living areas. the three bedrooms are very well fitted and so are the two bathrooms. the kitchen is well equipped. there is also a living room and a balcony. the stay has been very enjoyable overall. the real highlight in terms of activities is the Charente river where you can swim and kayak / canoe in season. the only downsides of our stay have been: the kitchen was not super clean (fridge, glasses, oven etc); the village has absolutely nothing: no stores, no cafes, no restaurant you need to drive to the next door village for everything (7 mins each way); the terrace is nice but has no sunlight in case you want to sunbathe... overall i would go back in the nice season.

We had a great week at Christian's place. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, well-equipped, quiet. The garden is superb and very well maintained, itself surrounded by meadows and forests. A real corner of paradise. Christian is very discreet but super responsive. A nice meeting. Lots of places to visit within a 30 km perimeter, castles, caves, ruins, nature hikes to do ... Both parents and children were delighted with this stay. We'll be happy to go back. Thanks Christian!

Beautiful place in a stunning location. Perfect for couples looking for a serene getaway. Amanda was a fantastic, responsive host and we will definitely be coming back.

What can I say! Katie and Matt's hospitality is exceptional. They were super flexible and met all our needs without us even having to ask. The small meals and breakfasts are a real plus, very appreciable, and it was delicious. A welcome that we will not forget. We will be back!

We had an enjoyable week. Good facilities with the pool and tennis court, so we spent most of the time over there, which is a short walk from the house.

A beautiful gite in very peaceful location. Was extremely handy for the wedding we attended in the chateau just 5 minutes walk away. Lovely pool. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace for a quiet drink. Lovely family time. Thank you so much Emmanuelle.

We had a wonderful stay! It was a beautiful gîte -so idyllic, with clean, modern appliances and kitchen. The pool was clean and fresh, the outdoor seating was perfect and a great spot for a BBQ and the view was amazing! We’d recommend to anyone. It’s 15 mins drive from Bergerac, Eymet and Issigeac, so there’s plenty of picturesque French towns to visit around. It’s private and although there’s another gîte in site, we felt like we had the pool to ourselves! Balbina was also so accommodating with our baby - she provided cot and high chair. It was just perfect!

We had a lovely time at Isabelle and Thierry's place. The accommodation was perfect, very nice and very well equipped, in a peaceful area. A beautiful pool and the weather was with us so we enjoyed it... Isabelle and Thierry are very kind and very available, the communication between us went very well... We will return without hesitation and we highly recommend 😉
