Holiday rentals in Pietre Nere San Zagaria

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at Mario’s place and we absolutely loved it! Located in beautiful surroundings among the hills of Scicli. Mario was extremely helpful and sent us a long list of recommendations of restaurants and beaches in the area. We followed his list and were never disappointed. And I can’t stress enough how absolutely glorious it was to wake up to olive trees, lemon trees and vines right in our backyard!

Eine unglaublich schöne Wohnung mitten in Modicas Altstadt, so etwas Außergewöhnliches sucht man sehr lange. Klimatisiert und vollausgestattet kann man auch gemütliche Zeit in der Wohnung verbringen. Die Wohnung ist nicht ganz so leicht zu erreichen, weil die Parkplätze etwas außerhalb liegen (bzw. liegen müssen). Weil Modica sehr schön auf zwei Hügelseiten liegt, gibt es in den Altstadt Gassen viele Treppen, die ggfs nicht so leicht mit kleinen Kindern oder älteren Personen zu machen sind (unsere beiden Kinder waren 12 und 9 zu der Zeit, das ging super). Modica war für uns ein absolutes Sizilien Highlight gewesen, die Stadt ist nicht übertouristisch voll (wie zB Taormina), aber wunderschön und zugleich lokal authentisch. Würde sofort wieder hinfahren. Sonia und Henry waren genauso perfekte Vermieter wie ihre Wohnung, jede Anfrage wurde sofort geklärt und wir haben noch tolle Tips bekommen.

Mycket vacker lägenhet i 2 etage, 2 stora sovrum med 2 dubbelsängar och 1 sovrum med enkelsängar, totalt 6 bra och bekväma sängplatser. Fantastisk terass och ett kök gjort för härliga måltider. En mycket härlig upplevelse och mycket centralt belägen lägenhet. Katia var supersnabb att svara när vi hade någon fråga. Skulle varmt rekommendera att bo indenna otroliga lägenhet och inte morgonkaffe på den fantastiska terassen.

Really good and pro-active contact with the host. He also provides you with a printed out recommendation list of restaurants etc. Nice big villa in a peaceful and quiet environment, and a very nice big garden. Loved to have breakfast in the garden. The house is really big and it breathes 'warmth' and 'character'. At the same time it is also really clean and neat. We stayed 4 nights with a child of 1.5 years and nothing to complain about. Location: as I said before, peaceful and quiet, while at the same time close to Scicli, Modica and Ragusa. Maybe the only 'complain' is that it looks much better than on the pictures :) Loved it!

La mia compagna ed io abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per una settimana. Abbiamo esplorato il ragusano ed il siracusano, territori in cui c’è letteralmente l’imbarazzo della scelta su ‘cosa fare’. Questo per dire che ogni giorno, quando tornavamo stanchissimi ma felici, eravamo assolutamente certi di poterci ricaricare e rinfrancare a Casa Papanno! Ci siamo davvero sentiti a casa, totalmente a nostro agio: l’alloggio si trova nella suggestiva e tranquilla campagna modicana ed è dotato di tutto il necessario per poter essere vissuto comodamente, è molto pulito e ben organizzato. C’è un meraviglioso giardino in cui potersi rilassare, in particolare abbiamo apprezzato molto la piscina! Non ultimo, segnalo l’estrema gentilezza dell’host, solerte e prodigo di utili suggerimenti. Insomma, speriamo di poterci tornare presto!

Die Wohnung von Cesare ist wirklich sehr stilvoll und außergewöhnlich. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich jemals zuvor in so einer hochwertigen und liebevoll ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung gewohnt habe. Der Ausblick auf die Altstadt ist grandios und ich konnte gar nicht aufhören, Fotos zu machen. Cesare hat uns vom nächstgelegenen Parkplatz abgeholt und sogar den Koffer getragen. In der Wohnung hat er uns alles gut erklärt und uns mit Cannoli und Rotwein empfangen. Für den Kaffeetrinker war großartig gesorgt, man konnte wählen zwischen Filterkaffee, Zubereitung in einer Bialetti ( 4 verschiedene Größen) oder Nespresso de Longhi. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben mehrmals gekocht. Das Schlafzimmer konnte gut verdunkelt werden und hatte eine tolle Aussicht auch vom Bett aus, wie alle Räume. Das Internet funktionierte hervorragend auch auf der Terrasse. Die Wohnung ist total ruhig und wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Cesar war immer schnell erreichbar. Mille. Grazie!!

Matteo was super responsive to all of our questions. We were greeted by his lovely mother who is a very kind soul. She went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable including bringing us fresh baked treats. She showed genuine Italian hospitality! The apartment was clean and well appointed and just as described. One thing to note, there are several buildings with the same street number, this place is in the white apartment building (Mapping apps will take you to the exact location) We would definitely stay here again.
