Holiday rentals in Pida

Our stay was perfect. we were very very well received, we felt at home and the team was really thoughtful. the food was great. The sumptuous setting. And above all, the kindness of the team!

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

最高のネパールの田舎体験でした！ I was tired of city life, and this stay was a refreshing change. Unlike tourist areas, I experienced real Nepalese life—attending a local wedding, milking a cow, and enjoying homemade meals like delicious dal bhat prepared by my host’s wife. I truly felt welcomed as family, not just a guest, which aligns with their motto: "come as a tourist and go as a family member." They picked me up from the bus stop in Kalikasthan, greeted me with a welcome cloth (kada), and cared for me throughout my stay. I was even given a traditional Nepali prayer for safe travels when I left. [Transportation (as of April 2025)] Buses from Kathmandu go to Kalikasthan (most frequent) or directly to Karmidanda (once daily at 11:30 a.m). Tickets cost around 500 rupees one way and can be bought at Machha Pokhari by telling the shopkeeper(at the corner) your destination. If stopping at Kalikasthan, you can walk or meet your host if they're available. I’d love to return for trekking next time.

Samjhanas home is great for a stay in Gorkha. The family are friendly and approachable. We arrived early by bus and were welcomed with a coffee. The home is in a good location for walking to the square and museum. Also, upto the palace, temple and viewpoints. The room is quiet and comfortable. Bathroom has a nice hot shower. We were able to make hot drinks and have breakfast in the rooftop kitchen. We would recommend staying here to visit Gorkha.

Such a great, warm and welcoming family. I felt at home, immediately. All was easy and flexible, no matter what time i wanted to leave or come back home. Earlier breakfast and late dinners, according to my own schedule and wishes were always provided and they were delicious 😋. Missing Dhal Bat with Curry and pickled vegetables, already.... The whole house is kept to its cleanest and you can enjoy a western style and modern living, as well as a more traditional one. There is a garden in front of the house which provides the best fruits, from Pomelo, Guave, Passion fruit and all the veggies used for cooking - 100% healthy organic food. My best part though was the hiking days i enjoyed several times with the head of the family. He is very friendly, calm and knows the area best. Best guide in Pharpin! Looking forward to come again and enjoy such a warm and loving environment. I felt like part of the family 🥰. Thank you Poudels

This is a great place with beautiful surroundings, beautiful rooms, nice and helpful host, everything was perfect. Recommend!

The camp and Seilandra and his crew were great. Everyone was very friedly. Perfect location, abroad the city and the bustle, the best way to get to know the nepali and its culture. We were suprised from some rainy days, but Seilandra knows what to do -learn how to cook Momos, celebrating daisha with his family, relaxing in the camp. Food were delcious and always more than enough. It's not just an accomodation, it's an experience by itself. Thank you so much for everything, maybe we'll see us on our way back :) Pugio ;)
