Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Pictou County

Valerie’s place was exactly as pictured. Beds were so comfy we checked to see what mattress she had lol! Lots of space for the 9 of us with 2 dogs and the kitchen had everything you could ever need. A few us were trying to find available times in the summer to come back! Pool wasn’t open yet but we did to enjoy the hottub. That sunroom…all I wanted was a big comfy chair in there and never have to leave. Great house for a fun family weekend!

This is a great spot! The location is beautiful and the view spectacular. Very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation has everything you need, we were a group of 5 and were super comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen had everything that you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable. This place was super clean and comfortable. We didn’t use the outdoor amenities but the property is lovely. Would highly recommend!

The cottage was a peaceful and quiet place to stay, which we used as a point from which to explore beaches and communities along the Northumberland Straight. It was clean, comfortable and well kept, and contained everything we needed to make meals. Thank you Nicole and Cameron!

The view is beautiful . We really enjoyed the screened porch and large deck. The home is large, spacious and bright and clean. It is a little challenging getting to the water and you should wear water shoes. We did swim in the water but the bottom was soft and your feet would sink in. Overall we very much enjoyed this cottage. We were able to bring our two golden retrievers and they loved it too 😊

Doug and Sandy have created an exceptional airbnb, and they have thought of everything a guest might need to feel at home. The eat-in kitchen is completely stocked with great utensils, dishes, and pots/pans for cooking, baking and meals. And, lots of extras - books, games, two television, wifi, and more. The hosts did not cut corners on anything you'll find here. From the furniture and decor, to the thick towels, linens and comfortable beds, these hosts have set themselves apart from most airbnb's you'll visit. We took advantage of the world class sweeping water views from our Adirondack chairs on the deck, and loved the fresh air during our coffee time each morning. The sunsets and full moon were gorgeous, and wow, what an incredible stretch of open sky! We saw eagles, Canada Geese, and sea birds throughout our stay. Doug and Sandy have done a super job capturing Nova Scotia's hospitality, style and charm, and we will definitely be back for another visit!

Heidi’s cottage was wonderful. Beautiful location with stunning views from all windows. The cottage itself was clean, very well stocked with everything you’d need and very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Highly recommend!

Onita's Cove was so cozy, comfortable, and relaxing! There were a lot of towels, extra linens, and blankets available. I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. Very comfortable king bed! The view was amazing! We enjoyed sitting outside at the firepit, on the deck, and in the hot tub. This place was absolutely perfect!

Loved our stay even if it was only one night

Great place to stay if you’re in Arisaig for a short visit. We felt very comfortable there. It was clean, spacious, and in a safe place. The beds were very comfortable, there are a couple games to play, and little treats to welcome. The hosts were very helpful, communicative, and hospitable. We did have issues with the microwave not working which was a little disappointing as that was the sort of dinner we had planned. The hosts were very apologetic and did offer to assist with their personal microwave upstairs which was very nice. Our only other concern was that we wished there had been real dishes instead of paper plates/ bowls and plastic/wood utensils especially since there is only a microwave and toaster oven. As long as you are okay being in a basement, this is a wonderful little spot to come to. We would happily stop here if we ever pass through the area again! Thanks to Todd, Wendy, and Stanley!

Great spot to stay. In town for work- good location, close to the hospital and town. Not the most sound proof from the family/kids upstairs but it’s great other than that! Would recommend if you’re looking for a cozy spot to stay.

Really enjoyed the unit and the peaceful quietness of the countryside. Encountered three deer and a rabbit on our walks around the property. Very friendly and easily accessible area. The hosts were proactive in giving us our instructions and very responsive to any inquiries. We’ll be back again for sure.

Being pet friendly and having a large fenced in area for them to run around in was very nice.

We had an amazing weekend at the Copper Cabin! The place is absolutely beautiful — from the wood beams to the cozy decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The hot tub (looked brand new!) and fire pit were perfect for cool evenings. The wood stove will be great when we return this winter! Bedrooms are warm and rustic, and the bathroom was stocked with more towels and linens than we could ever need. The fully stocked kitchen blew us away — even had condiments and tons of spices. The half bath downstairs was super handy. We brought ATVs and had a blast exploring nearby dirt road trails and lakes. We swam at one of the lakes Friday evening! We also visited Christy Brook Falls — just a short drive and short trail walk away! Maurice was a fantastic host: friendly, proactive, responsive, and helpful. This spot is a perfect mix of cozy comfort and outdoor fun. Can’t wait to come back!

House is as pictured in the listing. Very pretty place and the neighbors are friendly. Bernadine is very responsive and polite. Beaches are a short walk from the house. Our dog was welcome. House was super clean and everything worked. Water gets hot and the pressure is good. AC worked wonderfully. Beds are comfortable. The WiFi is 10 mbps down and 1 mbps up which is fine for casual use but may not be sufficient for heavy business or gaming use. Overall we were extremely satisfied with this place and would return.

The cottage was lovely, cozy and quiet. It was a great place for our family to take a step back and relax. Everything we would need was provided and only 20 mins from pictou made it easy to grab the necessities(snacks)for the boys. The neighbours were all friendly. The boys really enjoyed the beach and ping pong table. My boyfriend and I were able to enjoy the beach, relax on the deck and take in the beautiful views. This place really was heaven for us this past week. Our host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at the “Sunrise Cottage”.

A Perfect Riverside Escape The cottage is a truly wonderful retreat for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The sheltered hot tub is the perfect spot to unwind and recharge, and the serene riverside setting adds to the overall sense of calm. The cottage itself is charming and beautifully maintained, with a quaint character that instantly makes you feel at home. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet it's only a short drive to Pictou, making it the best of both worlds. We’ve already rebooked—we absolutely love this place! Josh and Nicole are incredible hosts, and they’ve created a little slice of heaven here.

I needed a place to stay before making my way to Cape Breton. This place was perfect for its location and budget. The grounds are beautiful. The setting was really spectacular. A cool running brook right through your yard. Accommodations are minimal, but they make to sure to describe it in full so your are completely informed. I fully recommend. Thank you.
