“The month we have just spent on Magnetic Island met all our expectations, and more. Penelope and George are excellent hosts - generous, kind and informative. George collected us from the ferry and, when we arrived at our accommodation, Penelope was there to make us at home. Just beyond our door was their thriving permaculture garden . What a joy to be able to pick fresh herbs for our meals and Penelope's eggplants are just great. Our self contained flat had everything we needed - good stove fridge, television and a comfortable bed beside a window filled with greenery. Picnic Bay with its large stinger-netted enclosure was a short walk away. We swam there almost every day. Or we caught the bus to one of the other beautiful bays. Already we are plotting a return to Magnetic Island and we hope Penelope and George will again be our hosts.”
