Excellent stay in Fanlac (couple with a dog) Christophe and Karine are friendly, responsive. The village and its inhabitants are peaceful and warm, not to mention little Vanelle. You will not regret your stay with them and in this beautiful region that is the Dordogne. we loved it.

Our stay at the beautifully renovated and well appointed stone gîte was very pleasant. It is surrounded by extensive gardens including a clean and private pool .Sean and Bridget gave us a warm welcome and provided us with recommendation for places to go and things to do. What a great place to relax and enjoy the Périgord countryside.

Medieval Cottage Next to Castle with Valley Views!

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a return to the Dordogne after a 25 year absence and it did not disappoint. It was a treat to stay in Ben’s wonderful property so close to the chateau at Beynac. The interior has been thoughtfully restored, remaining entirely in character with such a historic building but providing modern convenience. Its elevated position on the hillside is perfect for taking in the views and we especially enjoyed the terrace tucked at the back of La Maisonette which looks straight down and along the river. Thank you Ben - we had a great time.

Charming Village Gite On The Vézère River.

SandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Excellent value for money. Very clean accommodation. Quiet, very well maintained environment. We saw Louise a little but more Bruce who is very responsive if there is the slightest problem. Delicate touches such as fresh flowers from their garden to decorate our table were very much appreciated.

We stayed for a month on a working holiday (April-May) and loved the house and its surroundings - it’s in a fantastic location and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Pierre was very friendly and responded swiftly to our queries and to any issues we had.

Charming house in Périgord Noir Vézère Valley

MarionRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a great family holiday at Fabrice's place. The house is very well located with many activities nearby. The area is very rich in walks, prehistoric rock shelters, geological cave, medieval or cave village, castles and canoe rides on the Vezere! Fabrice advised us at the beginning of our stay and we were not disappointed! The smuggler's house has a story and it's a real vacation home where you feel good. Yes, there are walkers on the trail and on the river, but that doesn't bother people are polite and nice encounters can be made. Finally, what a joy to go swimming in the river when you want! The only downside are the mosquitoes but the house has outlets for the rooms, and the swallows and bat take over the tortillon at night.
