Il mio alloggio è vicino Sulmona e agli impianti sciistici di Roccaraso. La casa è situata sul versante occidentale del paese,quello silenzioso,e si affaccia sull'anfiteatro della Riserva Naturale del Genzana. Questa sistemazione è molto indicata per gli amanti della natura, per la tranquillità e la pace che essa infonde ma anche per comitive di amici "caciarone" che vogliono trascorrere il fine settimana sui campi da sci o fare escursionismo, insomma per tutti coloro a cui piace la montagna.

The Belvedere

Pettorano sul Gizio is a charming village (among the 100 most beautiful in Italy) that marks the access between the Peligna Valley and the Cinque Miglia plateau. Escher, in love with Abruzzo, produced 28 prints during his time in Italy, depicting as many Abruzzo villages that struck him for their particular beauty, and one is dedicated to Pettorano sul Gizio. At an altitude of 600 meters, Pettorano sul Gizio offers the tranquility and nature of the Monte Genzana reserve all year round.

My apartment is located at the gates of Sulmona's historic center, close to the municipal gardens. Although it is a few meters from the city course, it can be reached by car right up to the door and it is easy to find parking, both paid and free. The accommodation is on one level, on the 4th floor of a building without an elevator, consolidated in 2015 and renovated in 2024. It enjoys a magnificent panorama overlooking the Majella National Park and the municipal gardens.

Inside the WWF Sagittarius Gorges oasis where bears, wolves, deer, golden eagle, coral croaking and other rare and interesting animals live. There are many species of rare or endemic plants such as the Fjordaliso of Sagittarius.
