There are beautiful cycling and hiking trails in the area. Schoorl's mountain bike trail is 5 km away. Cities nearby are Schagen and Alkmaar. Shortly to a holiday destination with plenty of possibilities.

'Sea Time Petten' 600m from the beach

Cozy house in the small coastal village of Petten within walking distance of the beach (600 m), forest, and dunes. There are beautiful walking and cycling routes in the area. The supermarket on the square is a 2-minute walk. There are also a few nice restaurants. The house is attached to our own home, we live in the rear part. We have 2 dogs that may greet you enthusiastically (from behind a fence). There are charging stations (11KW) in the street.

Enjoy "Sea time in the 2nd home"

Our cottage "2nd Heimat" is the largest in the park "de Watersnip". It is located in the coastal town of Petten near the beach & is nestled in the typical Dutch countryside. A small shell path leads to our special retreat, which offers some amenities. The park in which our house is located also has many leisure activities (pool, etc.) that are available for our guests. If you have any questions about this, you can inquire at the reception.

The place was super clean and cozy. The contact with Joyca was very nice and we immediately received helpful answers to questions. The kitchen is well equipped. There was nothing missing. We were 5 people in the house and would come back anytime.

We had a very nice weekend at the property. Unfortunately, the heating did not work properly, which is why it was very cold at night, but there are enough blankets, so you still don't have to freeze. All in all it was very nice and I would book the place again!

We had a great stay from 5/1-5/4/2025. We booked the typical Dutch "campsite" for the first time and found a great area very close to the dunes and the sea. The complex offered a variety of accommodations. From simple campsites to simple fixed accommodation to the chalet we booked at Desiree. The location was beautifully green and very quiet. The transport of the luggage could be done quite comfortably from the parking lot and only a few steps away. The house has a nice room layout (3 bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses), is lovingly furnished, and is very clean!!! In addition, the house is well thought out. A place to feel good and come down. At the entrance to the site itself, there is a restaurant, bike rental, mini market, a small outdoor swimming pool and a playground. All employees are super friendly! We will be happy to come back. The surroundings are really beautiful!
