We booked the lodge for my mums 50th birthday treat away with family. It was the perfect home away from home, so cosy and peaceful. Close by to beaches, woodland walks and amenities. We took our 3 dogs and were greeted by even a little treat packet for them along with some fresh scones! Both hosts were responsive to all questions. 100% would recommend and will be back❤️

Just back from a 4 day break at Bridge Cottage. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break. When in the property, we spent most of our time in the sun room. So peaceful. So many birds to view, attracted by the well positioned feeder. Comfortable king bed - so quiet overnight. Such an idyllic location. Pub in Sheepwash is a short walk up the hill, but plenty of parking right outside if you prefer to drive. Decent menu at reasonable price. Highlights of our short stay were a visit to Boscastle where we were advised by one of the locals,while gabbing a coffee, to pop along to Trebarwith Strand beach. The Port William pub there is one of the best locations for a pub lunch, overlooking the bay) Sandymouth Bay to Bude is a fabulous coastal walk. Only 2 miles each way. Be sure to grab coffee and cake at Sip & Sea at the half way point of Northcott Mouth beach. We chose to walk one way on the beach, to give our 2 Jack Russels a run, and returned via the coast path.

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

We had a lovely stay, The Annex was very well presented, incredibly clean and had everything we needed. Judith was incredibly helpful as well as the extra attention to detail on guiding us on our first trip away with our newborn, with all the amenities to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Thanks again and would highly recommend to anyone!

A Perfect Devon Escape – More Than We Could Have Hoped For! Our 3-day stay at this spacious North Devon villa was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the welcoming touches – including three bottles of wine that set the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, not just with all the essential utensils and appliances, but even stocked with some food items – a rare and thoughtful detail that made cooking a pleasure. Every corner of the villa is beautifully decorated, with stylish bedrooms and elegant dining areas that make you feel right at home. The highlight, though, has to be the stunning garden – a peaceful haven complete with comfortable garden furniture, hammocks, a garden cot with bedding, a grill, a cozy fireplace, and even a camping fire setup perfect for evening gatherings under the stars. WOW 🤩 we’ve just returned from Louise’s place which we used for the weekend to celebrate a friends 40th. The cabin is absolutely stunning, the views were beautiful from morning to night and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves was amazing. We wanted the space just to chill and switch off and we did exactly that. We were very blessed by the incredible weather ☀️ but even without it the cabin would have been cosy enough to relax in with comfy sofas, a well stocked kitchen and lots of games that can be used. The instructions were very clear and the location is not for the faint hearted but well worth it - just pack light if you can. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a beautiful stay at Buckland Mill Farm, the best hut we have stayed at by a mile! The surroundings are stunning and peaceful with only sounds of the birds and nearby animals! We had a bbq on the fire pit, pizzas in the oven, used the projector outside with the log burner and inside in bed. The bed and bedding was so comfortable, we want to purchase the same mattress for our home! We can’t speak highly enough, every detail you can tell is thoughtfully placed and it is all lovingly built. The outside area is perfect, rain or shine you can enjoy looking out and relaxing! The hut was also decorated for my boyfriend’s birthday which was lovely! We will be returning that’s for sure, and Sandra and Mike are such kind and friendly hosts who greeted us when we arrived to show us around, thank you again!

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.
