Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Perry County

House was very remote, but there was a small store about 10 min away for essentials. We planned our meals, shopping and excursions in advance, so we really didn't need to make any special trips. House was huge and had everything we could of needed. The Co-Host reached out to us a couple of times about mowing and opening the pool, making sure we were OK with it. We had a beautiful rainbow 🌈 to admire and the serenity of the home was exactly what we needed to reset. On the last night our Co-Host brought us a homemade Strawberry pie. I highly recommend this rental for anybody looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the quietness of the area.

We were in the area for a FORD car show in Carlisle and the location was great. Very peaceful. Be sure to check out the King's Bakery there nearby.

Jesse was a great host to a wonderful stay. My extended family needed a place to lodge that would house all of us, and everything was very accommodating. Beautiful property, spacious home, and everything we needed for a comfortable night. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy everything the home and surrounding area had to offer.

We have stayed several times and have never been disappointed. Our granddaughter thinks its our house when we come to PA its the only place she knows and she is now 5. The backyard is beautiful and perfect for a BBQ and hanging out. I cant say enough about the master bedroom upstairs with the fireplace, perfect spot to sit and read. We will always come back because it feels like home. Walt and his wife are wonderful people.

From the start, Jordan was an excellent host—clear instructions, incredibly fast and responsive communication, and made everything seamless. The view from the property was absolutely stunning—honestly even better than the photos! The space itself was large and welcoming, with super comfy couches and spacious rooms with big, comfortable beds. The kitchen was a standout: beautiful, fully stocked with dishes, cups, coffee, and even a smart fridge. We especially loved the wireless chargers around the house—such a thoughtful touch. The dock was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings, and waking up here was truly a treat. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

Perfectly immaculate, peaceful setting, well furnished. Two things I'd caution is that the beds in the room we stayed were pretty firm. If you don't like a firm mattress, it may not be a good fit. Secondly since this is a beautifully redone old home, it does have low ceilings, maybe 7'. Our oldest is 6'4" and had only a few inches of clearance. If you're average height, these things don't usually come to mind. We had such a lovely stay and would stay again! Grilled on the back porch, went on a walk back to the river on the marked path and then enjoyed the nice cool house!

Perfect location for visiting the Newport area. Walk-able to the Weis grocery store and the town center. Airbnb was as described in the listing.

Roger and Mardell's comfortable and clean space was perfect for our visit to Harrisburg. The neighborhood was quiet, there is plenty of parking, and Mardell answered all of my questions promptly. We will definitely book with them again for our next trip to the PA Capitol.

We had a lovely stay at Greg’s place. Excellent check in / check out instructions and the location was great. The apartment was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. Can’t wait to stay again!

Logan and Larisa's Airbnb was exactly how they described it. It was conveniently located to the wedding we attend at Nick's Hideaway. It was extremely clean! We ate at The Bread of Life for breakfast and it was delicious. We would definitely stay there again if we were ever in town for an event. What a delightful experience. We were there for a college reunion so were not in the residence very much. But it was perfect. I did not expect the food that was provided but it was much appreciated. I cannot say enough about everything.

We had an amazing day at Tracy’s sweet place. It was so quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable! It was super easy to start the day and get going as we were so well rested. Tracy was so kind! We flew from California to see our granddaughter and great granddaughters. They were really curious about where we were staying so they stopped by to see our place and Tracy had a bag of toys for them. The little girls were so excited! It was like Christmas in May for them! Who does that? Tracy does! She also suggested that we take a little walk in the park along the river and it was so much fun! We saw frogs and a boy and his daddy catching fish and had fun talking to a guy on a big mower. It was just the best afternoon and the thing that forever memories are made from! 💜 thank you, Tracy for helping us to have such an amazing trip! We will definitely stay again next time we come to visit our family there.

Beautiful neighborhood, quiet and peaceful. The home was cozy like grandma’s house and had everything you need. The bed was comfy great shower! Plenty of extra blankets and towels. If you arrive at night bring a flashlight! Both me and my partner who arrived separately managed to go into 2 different wrong doors! Just cuz it was dark, but we figured it out :))
