Great View! Such peace and quiet for a relaxing weekend with the family. Hosts are friendly and amazing! We had a blast and will be visiting again!

Bud and Michelle have made a cozy, gorgeous getaway location out of their Heron’s Nest. The location on the shore of the Ohio river guarantees a connection with nature. We enjoyed the star-filled skies at night, the howling coyotes heard from the peace of the deck, or the mist-filled morning view of the river. The cabin is in the South end of the Hoosier Natural forest so there is access to hikes and nature. It’s a close drive from Louisville, but we came from farther north for the ‘24 Eclipse. We drove 45 min N into the path of totality to cap off a wonderful family weekend. The cabin itself is a treasure. Our family enjoyed the unique architecture with lofts and just the right amount of space for a good size family with all the amenities. Cozy bedrooms, beautiful wood surfaces throughout the cabin, and nice kitchen for meal preps, good size gas grill for meals, and spacious sitting areas on the deck. The hot tub was nice after the hikes. We even brought our 2 dogs. Thank you!

Very nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we are very picky about beds. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked a lot with the provided pots and pans. There is a crockpot also but we didn’t use it. I wish I had brought my griddle for cooking breakfast. Even though two bedrooms were both on the same floor the layout still provided a good amount of privacy. It is very spacious. Firewood was provided. We left a tip for that. We loved watching the tugboats push the barges down the river. Take some board games and enjoy your family. Thank you Tammy for being so helpful with the entire process! We feel we were in the best cabin in the area! If we come back there again we would stay in the exact same cabin.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cabin! The location is peaceful and beautifully tucked away, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The cabin itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had a warm, rustic charm that made it feel like a home away from home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring everything was just right for my stay. The surrounding nature and serene atmosphere made it easy to relax, and the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin added to the experience. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with all the comforts you need, this is the perfect spot. I would absolutely stay here again!

Vince has a nice, clean place! Very secluded on the end of the road with beautiful views of the river. There's a huge yard which we enjoyed a picnic in and I enjoyed sitting on the rock formations that are down next to the river; super calming, quiet, and relaxing. The majority of the food we took was to grill and the grill wasn't working properly. Within minutes of me reaching of to Vince, he was there delivering a working grill!

We have stayed with Timothy multiple times over the years and it's always a great experience!

Nearly 40 of us loved the space. Golf, volleyball, kickball, fishing, elk - plenty to keep kids busy without worries of roaming. Dave stopped to check on us and Wendy helped fix a minor issue. Highly recommend because we are going back next year!

Four best friends and a small dog all loved our stay at Pop’s Hideaway. Both the home and property looked great. We enjoyed the fishing with both bass and bluegill eager to take our bait! Tammy was great to work with. Very responsive when we reached out prior to arrival. We didn’t need anything during our stay, but we are confident she would have been quick to offer advice or assistance.

After a full day and night on the road, we reached the Yin-Yang Cabin in Magnet, Indiana. It is one of the Colucci cabins along the river, operated by the colorful and very helpful Mr.Colucci. Our patio there looked across the Ohio River at Kentucky. We had a special nighttime treat: a huge, not often seen Luna moth—which we first mistook for a bat—fluttered around an outside lamp and then landed on our window. We looked at it and it looked at us. It walked up my leg and onto my hand before flying away. The cabin itself is rustic, comfortable and simple with two comfortable bedrooms. We stayed a few years back in another Colucci cabin -The Heron 's Nest which was larger and even nicer with a large wrap around deck . The Yin Yang cabin has amazing river views, with a fire pit which was right next to the river. The location of this cabin is all about the river views. 

Good place to stay at if staying in that area.

Beautiful tiny cabin! We enjoyed the centrality to both French Lick and Patoka Lake.

What can I say. The place was as nice as pictured. The host were very accommodating and would definitely recommend and come back
