Cottage holiday rentals in Periana

Peaceful stay for a week. Beautiful elevated location with panoramic views. Rocabella restaurant at the bottom of the track was great if you dont feel like venturing out far, with a varied menu from light bites to main dishes with burgers, steaks and fish.. My advice would would be to grab some basic groceries from a supermarket prior to going up to the house i.e coffee, bread eggs , drinks etc. I travelled with my ederly mother and the accomodation was suitable for our needs as she is unable to manage steps. There is one twin room downstairs with a bathroom and walk in shower which is next to the kitchen , lounge and outside patio so easy access for her with limited mobility. its would not be suitable for a wheelchair however. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with doors opening onto a patio with table and chairs, perfect for your morning coffee to relish the sun rise and sunsets, and also affording privacy if travelling with others in your group. I throughly enjoyed my stay. 😊

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

We had a really great time in Madre Tierra. Rafa welcomed us and was really helpful for any request we had. The house is comfy, calm and with a great view, close to nice mountain paths. Totally recommended. Thanks again Rafa!

We had a fantastic weekend in Monte Naturivo! The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful nature and is the perfect place to relax. Everything was absolutely clean and very well maintained - you can see how much love is put into every detail here. We were particularly enthusiastic about the great pool, the relaxing hammam and the beautiful yoga room - ideal for switching off and feeling good. The hostess was incredibly friendly and warm, we felt welcome from the first moment. Monte Naturivo is truly a special place that we can highly recommend to everyone.

Just retuned from a 1 week stay at the Cassita! Lovely and peaceful with beautiful surroundings and plenty to do if you’re happy to drive. Our two children loved the pool too. Kila was very responsive and friendly and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Thanks again.

We stayed here for 4 weeks (family of 3) and it was the most wonderful holiday! So peaceful and quiet, well equipped house and a lovely pool. The beds are really comfortable and the aircon in the bedrooms was brilliant. Cómpeta is a beautiful town and worth a visit. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

We had a great week at Finca el Cerro! Pleasant place and away from the city, which gave us a real feeling of vacation. The owner is very kind, thank you so much for hosting us!

We had a wonderful week at casa Fuentezuelas. The house and it’s surroundings were even more beautiful than the pictures showed. Breathtaking view and very peaceful. The house was very clean and charming and had everything we needed.

This is our second stay at Jasmine Azul. Yet again a lovely holiday with everything we needed. The villa is so homely with great views and amazing outside space. Monica is a great host, always responsive and super friendly. 😎

Really unique place! We have spent the majority of our vacation (three weeks in Spain) in old town Valencia, Granada, and Sevilla, with some stops in Alicante and Merida, so getting out of "city center" was our goal for this stop, and this place DELIVERED. It's up a well maintained mountain road, and there are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive of the location. We would definitely recommend "El Tunel" which has ample parking and an amazing menu. However, if you are staying several days, we recommend you stock up on stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't want to hop in your car for every meal. They have a well supplied indoor kitchen and outdoor cooking options as well. The pool is not heated, so in April/May it wasn't really swimmable (for us), but I can imagine in the summer it does heat up ambiently. The chickens, duck, guienna pig and rabbit we excited to see us every morning with scraps from the prior day's meals! Zip line and trampoline are cool!

If you don't have a problem with the partially adventurous journey - you will be rewarded with a fantastic location with a wonderful view. Ideal for switching off and relaxing. Even our dogs were thrilled. In the midst of nature, you can enjoy your stay on the great terrace from sunrise to sunset and feel good. There is everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Pablo is a great and very helpful landlord! Glad to come back!

Really lovely spot with amazing, large pool, that you can actually swim in, even with a group of eight, outdoor seating to relax and enjoy views. Our group appreciated all the separate bathrooms and cooking indoors and out and eating on the balcony. Host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Malaga, Marbella, and Granada are all about an hour to an hour and a half away. El Torcal ( remarkable rock formations on a hike) is only 1 hour. Walkable little market for beer/wine. We came by car, so not sure about public transportation. Do be aware that there is no dishwasher, but the lovely unique dishes are great. Occasionally you hear neighboring dogs , but the road is quiet. I especially recommend going to Museo Etnológico de Riogordo a little local museum about Andalusian culture/ historical life it is a gem off the tourist beaten path. Enjoy! Our Family loved our time:)

A gem in the middle of the hills surrounded by nature. The location of the house is simply wonderful. You have a 360-degree panoramic view. The pool is flat at the front and 2 meters deep at the back so you can jump in easily. The area offers many seating and lounging areas to relax. The house is charmingly built in the Spanish style and very clean. There is nothing missing, whether electric orange juicer, coffee machine, etc. Everything necessary is available. About spices, aluminum foil, shampoo, shower gel, garbage bags, toilet paper, towels everything was available in sufficient numbers we did not have to buy anything. We felt completely comfortable. The city of Colin is 5 km away. There you will find a variety of restaurants and supermarkets, which we also appreciated. Jesus is a very nice, accommodating landlord who is immediately available for any problems or questions and provides remedies. Thank you Jesus for such a beautiful time in your house.

We really enjoyed our stay with Maria and Oliver. They are friendly, welcoming and very helpful, and have good tips for restaurants and excursions. The apartment is nicely decorated, with a nice kitchen, a BBQ and good beds. There was even fresh fruit (partly from your own garden) and a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival! A nice surprise. The private terrace has a fantastic view and there is a clean and nice swimming pool to cool off in. You can use the beautiful garden, which was now (early May) beautifully in bloom (olive, avocado, lemon and orange trees, flowers…). We visited Granada for a day from the apartment, which is easy to drive to. We also walked and visited the beautiful mountain villages of the Alpajurra, and swam in the Mediterranean Sea. We really enjoyed our stay in this little paradise last week, and would love to come back again.

I cannot recommend Catalina as a host, highly enough. Her place is spotless, beautifully, decorated, and practical. It has everything you could possibly need from the kitchen to the bathroom to the living room , to the bedroom. It is a peaceful, beautiful, serene place to stay So much so that I often did not want to leave it. Catalina is extremely responsive as a host and anticipates all of your needs. As a host myself, I appreciate all of her efforts and recommend her place very highly.

A little slice of heaven. It truly was perfection, from the moment we booked to the moment we left, we felt it was a home away from home. Bruno and Gert were the perfect hosts, we stayed in the studio near the pool, and it was fully equipped with everything we could need or want. It truly was a fantastic experience staying here and we will 100% be back. I couldn’t finish this review without a special mention to the 4 doggies, who made this stay extra special for us and made us want to spend more time in the villa to spend time with the doggies. We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Teresa and José’s beautiful villa and we miss it already. It was charming, authentic and spotlessly clean - it’s even better than the photos. We felt right at home and it had everything we needed. José and Teresa met us at the villa and gave us a warm welcome. The wine, milk, fresh fruit and bread from the local bakery was a lovely surprise. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any queries, José even came to remove a small wasp nest for us! We absolutely loved the swimming pool and the views were gorgeous. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable, we wished we could have stayed for longer!

We had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful cottage, nestled high in Almayate. The outdoor patio area was exactly what we wanted and all the different pockets of outdoor space felt like we could have a different experience and viewpoint each night, from the BBQ area, to sitting looking over the greenery to the sea. For anyone looking for a relaxing time, but an easy commute to local towns and Malaga itself, this is the one for you!

Martine and Ron have a wonderful small casa near Coin. We enjoyed everything about it! The view, the hospitality, and the pool! They were very welcoming hosts. I would love to stay again!

Having just returned from a wonderful week away at Enrique’s villa with my partner and two teenage girls, I can honestly say we feel completely relaxed. We had the best time. The villa is so private with no traffic or people passing through. Beautiful views with tranquil and traditional surroundings, we found ourselves right at home. Enrique was wonderful and was always on hand answering our questions on things to do in the local area. The pool was amazing and a luxury to have it all to ourselves. We were able to cook some delicious food and enjoy it on the terrace whilst watching the sun go down. Cannot fault this quaint little villa and it had everything we could possibly need and more. This is a beautiful, unique, peaceful spot, with a wonderful history, and an excellent restaurant at your doorstep.

We loved the views and peacefulness but felt safe having someone English next door. The welcome pack was amazing and appreciated as we stayed put for 3 days due to heatwave and didn't have to worry about shopping.
