Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Our home is surrounded by tranquil forest. Sit on the private patio or enjoy the hot tub, while basking in the serenity of the surroundings. We have a sweet little playhouse in the side yard for your children to enjoy. We are close to many forest walks, the free disc golf course, (we have discs in the suite for your use), and many ocean access points a few minutes drive away. There is a park and playground at Shingle Bay, a few minutes drive away. Pets welcome by request only.

Relaxing and Cozy cottage on north Pender Island perfectly situated with a small view of the ocean and just a short walk to Magic Lake. This fully renovated cottage includes everything you need for a quiet getaway. Perfect for a couple or small family, there's a 1/2 acre of privacy to enjoy. Grocery, pubs, beaches and the Saturday farmers market are just a short drive away. There are plenty of deer, and a nature trail through the woods out back. Note: max 2 adults and 2 children

This beautiful home is located on Oxbow Ridge on Pender Island with a breathtaking view over Poets Cove. It offers a landscaped yard with chairs to relax in to admire the views. There is a smaller cottage that the owners live in on site in an adjacent building. This is their personal home and live in it during the year. Please note that we have two private areas that will be closed off to guests in the house. We have a golden doodle named Treble who may pop over for a visit.

Amazing rock fireplace, large fully stocked country kitchen, sunroom with 180 degree view of it all. The home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den. Nestled within a beautiful forest, Emma's suite was a great place to come back to after a busy day exploring the island. The suite is cozy, clean and well equipped. The hot tub and outdoor space steal the show as it looks into the woods and is so relaxing. We loved our stay and extended weekend away from the city.

We had a fabulous stay with Gary and his wife Annamarie. They are very hospitable, and made every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Their accomodation is on the waters edge. We ate breakfast whilst watching the seabirds dropping clams on the rocks so that they could eat theirs. They have a gazebo, hot tub, sauna, and ice bath all overlooking the ocean, and all available for use by the guests. Plus they allowed us to us their kayaks so that we could paddle over to Chocolate Beach on Third Sister Island. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It was rustic while still being well appointed, you have everything you might need there. It is also such a quiet and beautiful setting, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the islands. Everything is an easy driving distance away, and there is a beautiful winery and cidery in easy walking distance (very helpful if you’ve enjoyed a few drinks at a tasting!) We would stay at Tamara’s cottage again in a heartbeat, and would recommend it to anyone we know looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to spend some time on Pender Island!

Cottage 22 at Currents Marina and Resort

The street was very quiet. I think there was only one or two other cabins that were being used that week, which means we had a very peaceful stay. We locked out it was also very sunny the entire week. The place was amazing with big windows, it was clean, bright and beautiful. Thank you very much Cheryl. We had a wonderful stay. Looking forward to booking with you again 🙂
