Beautiful cabin in the middle of the jungle, monkeys and birds seen from the bed. With hikes around in a totally beautiful and conserved environment, we rode with Paulo, an excellent guide who gave us an unforgettable experience

Unique Tropical Bungalow ~ Views ~ Walk to Beach!

TanyaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Only book here if you like amazing views, privacy, peaceful surroundings, wildlife, and want a wonderful vacation 😀 I can not recommend the treehouse more. The location is beautiful, we saw so many birds including scarlet macaws, toucans, and hawks, as well as monkeys, a coati, and an anteater. It was a truly magical spot to stay. The beach is rugged but beautiful, and a good workout to get to! The views from the bedrooms and shower are second to none. The caretakers Didier and Jackie were so helpful, and we had dinner cooked by Jackie that was delicious. We booked a tour, and our guide Milton was great - so knowledgeable and kind. The driveway had some tricky spots following an extra rainy wet season (jungle life!) but Ariane was very responsive and helpful and Didier helped us out. Definitely get a 4x4 (as stated in the listing). Again, I couldn’t give a better review, we loved it here!

Casa Linda - Rain Forest Beach House

MattRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Stunningly beautiful, wonderful location, comfortable and well-appointed, especially considering the extremely remote location. We arrived after heavy rain had washed out much of the highway, which meant that even with 4x4 it was a huge challenge to get there, adding over an hour extra to our trip to get there. I wish the highway conditions had been better communicated to us. Google actually listed the highway as "closed," and we thought about turning back a few times, since it was nighttime by the time we were getting there and the SUV kept bottoming out. Please also know that getting there involves driving through a rushing river that, when we were there, was about 12-18 inches deep. The highway was repaired a few days later, so departure was easier.

Tropical Casita in Costa Rica w/ Outdoor Kitchen

MiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house is amazing, with nature all around. You can shower outdoors while listening to the creek or have a bathtub and relax to the sound of the rain in the forest.  The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook delicious meals.  I loved the layout, so everybody can hang out while you’re cooking. The beds were comfortable and the AC great. The host was very responsive to any questions we had.

Jungle SurfSideLodge

DougRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Peter’s cabin is off grid, surrounded by nature and a two minute walk to the ocean. The location is remote (40 mins from Puerto Jimenez, 4x4 bumpy the last 10 mins) and encourages a pace of life slow down! Everyday we loved it more and more! The surrounding area and Peter’s property is truly spectacular and magical. The cabin is very simple, probably best described as rustic. It has wood louvres and screens on all the windows, ants as friends if you leave any morsel of food out. You can hear every piece of nature coming in, the first night we didn’t sleep, but once you adjust to the sounds of howler monkeys and cicadas, it’s so amazing! There is no AC, but he has fans that help circulate air. The front porch was our favourite spot. We ate every meal out at the table and could see birds and monkeys right from the chairs. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises at the ocean. Peter is a wealth of information. He’s super helpful and can do kayak, hiking and surfing tours. This is a special place.

Toucan Lodge

GabiRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The place was everything we expect We knew the check in was going to be complicated and only in 4x4 carro then we were ready, the problem is Waze/Google Maps gets lost on the last way to get there and it's hard to know how much is missing to get. Everything else was perfect, the caretaker is super friendly and the super attentive host. I would definitely go back.

Serene Jungle Cabin Steps from a Secluded beach!

BrittonRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house is great and Jim, Elaine, and Scotty were very welcoming. The house was clean and well furnished, and had a nice open layout. It is very solidly built, with poured concrete bars and benches, which the photos did not do justice. The shower has a natural stone and gravel floor, and hosts a family of friendly halloween crabs, which we thought were fun. A troop of spider monkeys also wandered through the trees over the house several times a day. The closest beach is mosly rock, but Pan Dulce, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away, is a beautiful sand beach.
