What a hidden gem! This town was exactly what we needed! The house was perfect, my children, and I could’ve lived on their screened in porch. At night, we sat and played board games and listen to a guitar from a nearby restaurant. The neighbors were so friendly, one invited our children down to explore the creek. While the beach was not our final destination, it was a very easy drive. Ashley was so helpful and responsive and helped us plug into some community Easter event events for our children. My only regret is not being able to stay longer.

Can’t say enough good things about this little spot! Great location! So clean and cute. It’s the illusion of seclusion. We took our boat and enjoyed exploring the Bay River . Oriential is close for some really good restaurants . The porch and rockers were so nice for morning coffee. Shannon is responsive and helpful. We hope to be back soon. Lee and Wendy Cooper

What a hidden gem! We stay here with our children (8 and 5yo). The house was incredibly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Wonderful view from the deck. The property is beautiful. We fished off the dock for hours and had a blast swimming in the pool. We even saw a dolphin swim within 20 feet of the dock! Oriental is a cute town nearby - we had great carry out from The Silos and went to The Bean for ice cream. Piggly Wiggly grocery store had everything we needed. We loved our stay here and have already booked our next trip! Thanks for having us.

Beautiful Beachfront Home w/Stunning Views

Excellent! Beautiful location right on the water - easy enough to just walk right out and be on the water. Place was very clean and comfortable. Nice to wake up and see sunrise over the water. Large windows made it amazing. Plenty of amenities like deck chairs, hammock, kayaks, life vests, etc. Really just a vacation ready to roll. Side yard was huge and very dog friendly. Even met the neighbor and he was nice as well. New Bern was 30 minute drive away and great to walk around downtown if you want that. Ben was excellent host. Very kind, super responsive, and made us feel taken care of if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet vacation spot on the water. Excellent experience and can't wait to visit again!

We rented two houses for week for a family gathering. This was our second time staying at River Dunes. The houses and location were fantastic for our week. The amenities at River Dunes are wonderful, from the pool to the kayaks, to the bikes everything was great!

We had an amazing time at Sam's place. The location is quiet and beautiful with amazing views of the water. We even saw dolphins off the dock. We had lots of great family time enjoying the outside amenities including kayaks, dock, and firepit. The house was clean, well-appointed, and spacious. Sam was easy to contact, available during our stay for questions, and made the whole experience personal. We would definitely stay again.

Don't be disappointed by the exterior of the house, it's very clean inside, the kitchen supplies are abundant. Especially the view outside the window is very beautiful. We also caught crabs and fish. The kids also had a lot of fun.

My husband and I had a lovely, peaceful time. Beautiful views, lovely breeze, and quiet surroundings. Not much to do in the area (which we love), so be prepared to spend quality time together or drive a bit. Kitchen is well stocked and furniture is clean and comfortable.
