We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Its location in the forest created an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the housekeeper was a true gem — always nearby and ready to help, yet absolutely unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi, but even that helped us disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily come back again!

A beautiful house with a spectacular view. Upul is an artist who has spent many years of his life in Denmark. His house shows his mix of Sri Lankan and Europe: large windows and open breezy spaces mixed with traditional building. We felt so comfortable and relaxed in such an interesting and well-designed space. We drank our morning coffee watching the sun come up over the hills. A wonderful memory. Thank you, Upul, for such a nice memory of Kandy.

Sampath's place was the perfect starting point for our Sri Lanka trip. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, and everything we needed was taken care of. My family, including my kid and parents, loved it there. The caretakers, were incredibly friendly and great hosts. The food she cooked for us was also really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

We felt very comfortable from the first minute we felt very comfortable from the first minute in this comfortable, large and tastefully furnished house. It is located at the end of a quiet side street with a great view across the valley and river to the mountains. Sakunthala greeted us super nicely and went above and beyond to make us feel well received. She is also a good cook who served us the best food. Also the homeowners Aude and Ariyam, whom we were able to get to know later, are very nice and were always eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing we regret is that we only booked for three days and then had to travel on. We'd love to come again. Thank you for everything! Katharina

We were a group of 19 people of which 11 children and we all had a great time. The big house is stylish and comfortable, in a very natural and quiet environment, surrounded by forest, hills and tea plantations. Great staff, very welcoming and helping, and excellent food !

great location for sri lanka middle part sightseeing. house and swimming pool much bigger than on photos. was better than expected. safe and quiet. Spend really good time. dinner and breakfast possible.

Grand Hills is a fitting name for a villa with amazing views of the surrounding hills and Kandy area. Don's team at the villa were helpful and (especially Mr Chaminda); we were given local recommendations and they were very responsive to any requests or questions. The villa is a good size - our extended family had plenty of space and most rooms have a private balcony. The children enjoyed watching the monkeys on the roof in the morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and we were able to walk to the neighbouring resort for lunch and dinner. Pool was pristine.

We had a great time! The villa is beautiful, very well maintained, and its location is ideal for discovering the surroundings. The staff is incredibly kind, always available and helpful. The only thing to improve is the pool: multiple tiles are sharp, which can be dangerous. It might be a good idea to empty it to redo the seals and replace the defective tiles. Other than that, everything was perfect. We'll be happy to go back!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. *A Serene Getaway at Victoria Nest Bungalow – A Home Away from Home* The location was easy to navigate, and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by their friendly caretaker. The hospitality was heartwarming, making us feel at home instantly. The bungalow's atmosphere was filled with positive energy, perfectly complemented by lush greenery, including a charming indoor garden that added a unique, tranquil touch. Privacy was guaranteed once we stepped inside. The peaceful environment allowed us to truly unwind and reconnect with ourselves. On top of that, the meals prepared by the caretaker (as per our request) were delicious — a culinary delight that we happily compensated for. This lovely, lively space gave us a wealth of beautiful memories, and we’re already looking forward to returning next year. If you’re looking for a serene, private, and rejuvenating holiday experience, Victoria Nest Bungalow is an excellent choice.

We Absolutely loved our stay at the drummers abode!! The house was exactly as described, with a beautiful antique touch that added so much character. It was fully furnished and equipped with all the basic amenities, making it a comfortable and convenient stay. The hosts were always available on texts and was very helpful..Highly recommend!!

Sanjaya and his family were as friendly as the apartment was comfortable (very). Particular highlight was the balcony overlooking the Kandy valley - spent many a happy moment observing bustling life from up high. Would happily stay with Sanjaya again.

Great place to have fun with family and friends… the best part is they had the bluetooth speaker with vocal mic!

the location is superb in terms of views, tranquility and away from traffic and commotions. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the desired amenities as well. There was a spare room available which was used by the driver. The kitchen had most of the amenities but not much of stock in terms of food grains or eggs which you have to have beforehand. Kandy town is 14 km away. Otherwise it was a pleasant and refreshing stay. wish we had more days to spend here. Also the main bedroom has a breathtaking view. In short loved it. Had some trouble finding the place initially as the address given by Airbnb and that by the host separately did not match.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.
