Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Paje

We stayed for 5 weeks (!) at Culture & Alessandra's place and we absolutely LOVED it. Although we booked another apartment, we were really happy with the one we got. The location is phenomenal, as it is literally less than 2 minutes walking to the beach. Yet it feels very private because the house is on a dead-end street. The apartment is simple, but fully equipped. We felt right at home. Alessandra is truly the very best and sweetest host you could wish for. She helped us a lot with renting a motorcycle, making restaurant reservations and even took us to the hospital when (unfortunately) needed. Their dog Bantu often walked with us to the beach or came to lay with us on the porch, so cozy! We did have some problems with the AC - we couldn't get the room cooler than 26 degrees and it often failed because of power cuts (a general electricity problem in Zanzibar). Funny enough, 5 weeks still felt too short, so we hope to come back and then we will definitely stay here again.

Vuai’s place was very very nice, almost in front of the beach, in a safe, chill, and nice neighborhood, with a local minimarket nearby, and only 10 mins from Kuza Cave and 15 mins from Paje. The kitchen had everything one could need and the bathroom was very clean and nice.

Salim's place is worth every penny I paid for, the stay was amazing and the toilets were very good and clean.. I would totally recommend this to everyone and looking forward to book the place again.

very well equipped and comfortable apartment and above all very well located a few steps from Paje beach and its center too. the host was adorable and very friendly. he knows absolutely everything on Paje what to do and what to avoid. I was very well assisted and I will defenitly book his place next time i go to Paje again.

Wow! My wife and I had booked an Airbnb months ago and last minute the host canceled. We began to panic since our trip was only weeks away and we have 3 kids (5, 7, and 10). We contacted Jan who answered so many of our questions. Once we arrived the place was minutes walking to the beach! Also, the area was very safe and quiet. There were many children and locals who greeted us every morning. Our first night we stayed on the beach and a local dug us a bonfire in the sand and helped us home when we got lost. We shared the property with his family and another guest who were all lovely and played bachata at night! Every morning the house help Ms K made us fresh juice, cleaned our room, and made us breakfast. She was wonderful! The driver that Jan sent to pick us at the airport was amazing! And we paid him to take us to Memba island and a really nice sandbank with seafood lunch. The only con was the 3rd bed did not have a mosquito net. Which was okay because my kids just shared a bed.

We had an amazing stay at Sailorvilla! Our group of four friends was the first to stay in the newly designed rooms with a fully equipped kitchen, and we were truly impressed. The space is modern, well-designed, and has everything you need. Both rooms had ceiling fans and A/C, and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cookware and utensils. If anything was missing, Saed would have made sure we got it right away. Saed was an exceptional host—one of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve met. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Having worked in hospitality, I truly appreciate great service, and Saed’s warmth and generosity made this stay special. Having lived on the island for two years, I can confidently say Sailorvilla is one of the best stays I’ve had. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!

El alojamiento era como se describía en un barrio tranquilo y a 30 metros de la playa, Ovi nos envió varias recomendaciones y la verdad que estuvimos muy a gusto. Por poner algo malo diría las hormigas, había muchísimas entre los enchufes y por toda la encimera de la cocina, ya que nos tocó la parte de abajo, ojalá nos hubiera tocado arriba, tuvimos que luchar con ellas bastante. Quitando eso, el resto súper bien. Es un lugar recomendable

Marram Villas, Nassier, and his amazing team rescued me from a nightmare stay that I had to leave after just one night. I lucked out and got a same day booking for Marram and was able to check in early. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such grace and hospitality, which is especially impressive as we were totally unexpected. I'm forever grateful to Nassier, Magaret, Anheta (I might have that wrong), and others for taking such good care of us. I honestly didn't want to leave. Nassier checked in often and was truly so kind. The breakfast was amazing and abundant and the dinner options were fantastic (especially the octopus) -- there was so much to choose from including local cuisine. The place is spacious, clean, smells amazing, and is so modern yet comfy. There is nothing that the host did not think about including a water cooler to refill water bottles. If ever I'm back in Zanzibar, I'll definitely stay at Marram Villas. I can't say enough nice things.

Jerome was a great host, very responsive and proactive he accommodated all our needs. The house is magical, located in a local villa, is very private and one minute walking from a beautiful beach and some hotels where you can spend the day or have a nice meal. Also ver spacious the house can accommodated numerous people comfortable. We loved the pool where you can hang out listening to the birds. We will definitely come back.

Magnifique maison au cœur de la nature. Construite récemment la maison de Manuela est très confortable et son jardin avec piscine très agréable! Manuela et son équipe sont très à l’écoute pour que tout soit agréable pendant le séjour. A noter que la maison est à 12mn à pieds de la mer. Une belle promenade sur un petit chemin bordé de palmiers.

Nakudenda House is a nice, spacious house in the heart of Jambiani village. The beach is just a stone's throw away. Lots of nice restaurants around. The house offers comfortable, large bedrooms. It's nicely decorated and has all you need to enjoy wonderful Jambiani. Eta and Romain are very nice hosts, very proactive and try to solve any problems as quickly as possible. Communicating with them was very easy and they go out of their way to make your stay a nice one.

The place is amazing! Quiet, safe with lovely pool and huge garden area! House is clean with all necessary amenities and more 👌Location is also a huge plus - very close to the beach as well as restaurants and shops while still being in quiet calm area where you can forget about the whole world and immerse into paradise ❤️ The staff is very helpful and welcoming. perfect place for short and long stay, great for families and groups as well as women traveling alone 😉 For sure I'll be coming back and strongly recommending to all of my friends! The house is very spacious, located in the middle of the village, not far to the beautiful beach. Kitchen equipped with basic stuff (frigde is a plus:)). Wifi could be better (not always available, poor signal). Workers always ready to help

Host Manager Ijob ist nur noch super. Hat uns Einkäufe erledigt. War immer vor Ort. Äußerst freundlich 👍 Auch die Putzfee Doris ist sehr gewissenhaft. Bei Problemen (Stromausfall, wenig Wasser), für die er ja nix kann, hat er sich umgehend um Lösungen bemüht und wenn möglich, auch sofort erledigt.

Lovely home—clean, cozy, and well-equipped. Great location and very comfortable stay. The host was kind and responsive. Only thing I would recommend is a sign because it was pretty hard for the taxi to find us. I’m already planning on coming back next year with my family hopefully this house is available!

Mohu ubytování jen doporučit, od komunikace po rezervaci, přes odvoz z letiště až po přivítání a ubytování na apartmán, se vším jsme byli spokojeni. Rodinný apartmán poskytuje dostatek prostoru a vynikající vybavení pro vaření. Postele jsou velmi pohodlné a terasa skvěle uzpůsobená k odpočinku v soukromí díky vzrostlým nádherně kvetoucím keřům. Dále parádní byla velkorysá snídaně v ceně a 2 bazény, z nichž minimálně jeden z nich jsme měli kdykoliv jen pro sebe. Areál je velmi dobře udržovaný, bazény čisté a okolí apartmánů opečovávané. Na pláž je to asi 5 minut chůze a stejně tak na začátek vesnice, kde člověk může nakoupit vše, co potřebuje a navíc i při procházce pozorovat místní život. Moc děkujeme majitelům a celému personálu za skvělý pobyt.

We stayed 7 weeks at Saids place and liked it very much. From the beginning we had 2 people whom we could anytime ask for help. We felt very safe at Saids place and did not even shut the appartment with a key since there is a big fence around the buildung. The area in which the appartment is located is rather quiet the village ist about 5 minutes walk away and there are not many tourists around. The walking distance to the beach and a very nice resort called Waikiki is about 5 minutes away. Said himself was very helpful and friendly. He invited us for a great homemade dinner (the best we had in Zanzibar) and repaired Christians bicycle. We would be glad to come back stay there and meet Said again.

I stayed at the Monolo apartment for two weeks. The apartment was beyond my expectations. I felt like I was at home and had no trouble with getting around. Everything was to my standard and Abdulkarim made sure everything was accessible and had no trouble. The place was sparkling clean and everything was in working order. I had no troubles with electricity and water throughout my stay. Abdulkareem shared he’s Netflix account too which was very kind of him to do so. The WiFi was very fast and had good connection. The security system was top notch. I would recommend this apartment to anyone that’s looking for a clean, private and home away from home. The apartment was very affordable and worth the pay. Thank you Abdulkareem for the lovely experience. I would definitely love to stay at your apartment whenever I’ll be in Tanzania if you’ll have me 😊

Great place, great staff no hassle with anything

Mon mari et moi avons adoré notre séjour. nous avons passé plus de 7 semaines. La piscine lagon était très parfaite, la propreté était partout. Nous avons apprécié la femme de ménage chaque semaine. La seule chose difficile à été d'aller à la plage. Les routes sont horribles et pas évidentes et pleines d'eau quand il pleut. Trouver de quoi manger aussi fut un peu difficile, manque de produits. Nous avons trouvé d'excellents restaurants. Dans l'ensemble nous avons eu une excellente expérience.
