Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Overton County

I stayed overnight at Shawna’s barn so that I could attend a wedding nearby. It was the perfect spot for an overnight stay! She was awesome, and her kitchen had a ton of staples for cooking and cleaning. Also, her chickens and her mules/donkeys were beautiful and sweet. I would definitely recommend!

Great little town. Close to the lake. We stayed 2 nights for a fishing trip. We had five people. 2 adults and three teenagers. We would stay again.

Nice and quiet place that’s located close to the marina. The provided grill on the deck was great to be able to grill after being out on the water all day. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect little house for a couple. My wife and I spent a few days here enjoying the lake, and we loved coming back to our little hillside retreat at the end of the day. I highly recommend this home!

Another wonderful stay at Jackie’s place. It was our third trip back. We get barbecue at Lakeside BBQ and just relax on the deck for hours watching the lake and listening to birds. Very peaceful and serene.

My family spent the holiday weekend at this adorable lake house. Traveling with our dogs was a must, and this place was absolutely perfect. Beds were comfy and we had plenty of space indoors and out to relax. The house is roughly 10 min from the marina, making for an easy day of boating. We definitely can’t wait to stay again!

The place was amazing. close to downtown and free parking. The place was very clean and affordable. Lots to see and about half and hour from Cookeville TN, about 30 minutes from Dale Hallow Lake which was a lot of fun.

This place was the perfect place for my family to stay overnight! Do want to say, don’t turn down Swift Fox unless you have an off road vehicle. Continue straight on paved road and GPS will update you. It was a beautiful location with nice scenery. Home was exactly as described and Debra was really great and responsive. Highly recommend!

I arrived at his home earlier than expected but was able to access the property early. The self check-in made entrance to the property very easy. The home was spotless and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and organized. Located on the edge of downtown Sparta made access easy to restaurants and local attractions. This was my third stay here and won't be my last. Thanks Jeff.

We came into Sparta to visit with family and this was the perfect place to stay. Ron’s place was clean and had every amenity you could imagine. The area was very peaceful. We would be happy to stay again if we are in town.

Ellen’s condo was perfect for me and my big dog, Beaux. Great dog walk right across parking. Internet was perfect for my work needs and TV had great selection & service. It was so quiet even though there were several units and folks around. Plus - 1st floor. Thanks Ellen!

Very spacious, very clean & adequately equipped. Be prepared for one of the bedrooms to be a walk through to the shared courtyard area - not an issue for us as it happens. Full blinds for privacy if needed. Bring matches / lighter & wood / charcoal for the BBQ & firepits! We were lucky to be able to use charcoal that was left for us (thanks you host) & borrow matches from guests staying upstairs (thanks you!). Hosts were very prompt to communicate & accept our short notice booking. Very pleased with our stay.

A beautiful place to stay. Decorations were very tasteful. The King bed was super comfortable! It rained pretty much the whole time we were there, so unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy the outdoors.

This home was perfect and held 2 families very comfortably. The location has breathtaking views and was incredibly peaceful. While walking around the community, all the residents we encountered were very friendly and kind. The property had everything we needed for a full week stay. Everything from cookware to boardgames, outside games, TV, a grill, etc. All we needed to bring was food and clothes. Cant ask for anything better than that.

Jonathan's cabin is set in a quiet area next to a creek, it is a comfortable and relaxing place. We love how quiet it is and sitting on the porch listening to the water flow is very relaxing. The house his fully equipped with all of the necessities. This is our 2nd stay and we will definitely return in the future!

Beautiful peaceful cabin that’s very well stocked with everything that you’re going to need for a stay. Our family loved sitting by the fire pit visiting with each other . We plan on staying again in the future.

I almost don’t want to leave this review because I want to keep this hidden gem all to myself—but it absolutely deserves the recognition! This stay was a dream come true. It felt completely off the grid yet still had all the comforts we needed. Secluded, peaceful, and beautifully serene. From the scenic drive in to the spotless home, the thoughtful layout, the inviting covered porches, and the soothing sounds of the nearby river—every detail was perfect. There were even extra activities and spaces to enjoy that made the stay even more special. We’ve been exploring local Airbnb stays for months, and Rosette and Martin’s home is hands down the best we’ve found. We’ll definitely be back—next time, we plan to spend even more time walking and relaxing by the river!

The house was spacious, well-cleaned, and comfortable. Quiet country area as expected. The area is pretty, lake down a big hill, neighbors aren’t too close. We particularly loved the wrap around porch, and it was nice to sit out even in the rain. Beds were comfortable, and linens were very soft, which matters a lot to me. Minor annoyance (though possibly a pro to some), porch lights are very bright, and we couldn’t find switches for all of them. They were a bit annoying when we were trying to stargaze, and someone mentioned it being right outside their window at night was frustrating. Not a big deal for our short stay. We never asked how to turn them off as we only noticed late night and didn’t want to bother anyone, but I’m sure the owner can help. Joe was extremely responsive to any questions, very helpful and easy to work with.
