Home from home! What a gem of a place. Situated in a prime location with all amenities nearby. What suited us was the birdlife and the tranquility of the setting. Shirley-Ann is a delightful host and, after a month-long stay, we are now firm friends and will stay connected. There is not a negative aspect to report: only a rave review of a rare find! We look forward to our return as we visit family and friends in Durban regularly. I highly recommend this cottage. Thank you Shirley-Ann.

Loved my stay here! Marian, Mauro, and Hajra (housekeeper) are extremely friendly and attentive. Not only are they great hosts but I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. The unit was actually better than the pictures. I booked this place initially because it’s one of the few Airbnb’s that offered everything… A/C, fast WiFi, backup power, a full kitchen, gas stove, separate bedroom and living space, etc. My biggest priority was safety and this unit was extremely secure being in the back of the property with lots of gates and cameras. I don’t think there is any other Airbnb in the area that matches up to it. I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed here for the Comrades 2025. Tim was a great host providing so much assistance and guidance on the error. Was genuinely the best decision we made for the trip.

We had a really pleasant stay at this property. The flat was spotlessly clean, spacious, and felt very welcoming. The main bedroom bed was especially comfortable – we slept so well throughout our stay. Everything was exactly as described, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable visit. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the space feel like a home away from home. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend to others!

Lovely view of the harbour from the veranda, and the host was also very responsive to any needs I had during my stay.

Janina place is a lovely cottage. The choices are furniture are perfect, is not too cluttered. The bed is comfortable, linen is clean and the bathroom and hot water is clean and warm. it's extremely safe for a women to stay alone here with a security guard right outside the house. The manager Mfana is friendly and approachable. he tries to accommodate your requests. the place was cleaned one a week. a washing machine is available that one can use with a public/guest lounge . I was the only one so could able to freely exercise. Janina also gave me some weight to use , that was very nice. Access in and around Durban is very easy with a 24/7 Woolies opened. I highly recommend this place for women traveling alone. highly recommended and lovely place to stay at.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there which was for 10 nights. During our stay there was both a water and power outage which were not within the host's control. One was due to pipe maintenance and the other due to a vehicle colliding with a power pole. At all stages Ashton provided updates and supplied water and a gas cylinder and burner, so we were able to make coffee which was great. Ashton offered us a refund to compensate for the situation however we declined. Keeping us up to date and providing reasonable solutions is what really mattered the most to us, so we weren't left in the dark, if you pardon the pun. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone, and we would happily return should we visit Durban again.

I had a lovely stay at Franks place. It was peaceful, clean, light and creative. It had everything it needed and when I couldn't find something Frank was quick to let me know where it was. My only suggestion would be to have some coffee as well as tea available. I loved the outside bath and fairy lights too.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful property. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated. It was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for our stay. Conveniently located just off the highway, meant easy access to local shops as well as Durban city which is just 25min away. Christine was always available but also respected our privacy. We felt very welcome!

Great host and a great cottage fairly close to the sea. Has a large covered patio perfect for sundowners (pity we were there in a heatwave). Aircon and all the mod cons you could desire make this place great value for money.

Thank you for the stay at your cottage and assistance with the extra fence over the gate it really helped us to relax and feel at home knowing our small dogs could not get out. Our dogs are escape artists. Host is friendly, helpful and attentive. We would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway in the Durban area.

I enjoyed my stay in Bonela. It was peaceful and Vusi was very responsive and helpful. The place was ideally located near the taxis so it was easier for me getting around Durban. I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend 👌
