Farmstay holiday rentals in Oudtshoorn

My family and I recently visited Lustine's accommodation. We were very impressed, upon arrival. The place looked exactly like the pictures. It was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The highlight for my kids were the animals on the farm. I enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and the incredible view. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Especially on the cold and rainy day we experienced. Overall we had an amazing family getaway. I'll definitely recommend this accommodation.

We recently stayed at Cherry's guest house/lodge, which is a nicely maintained property with a clean and well-equipped common kitchen. However, our experience was marred by a booking mix-up. Despite having paid for two rooms for the night, we were only allocated one. We presented our receipt as proof, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved, and our request for a refund for the second room was declined. We're still unsure whether the error was on Airbnb's side or Cherry's, but we wanted to caution future guests to double-check their bookings to avoid similar issues. While Cherry's property has its strengths, we hope that she will take steps to prevent such misunderstandings and ensure a smoother experience for her guests.

We had an amazing and peaceful stay. Ali made us feel right at home and welcome. The cottage is generously stocked and comfortable and spotless clean with attention to detail. Beautiful farm surroundings complete the picture of a memorable holiday. Thank you for your hospitality!

We totally enjoyed our night here and loved the rustic vibe. Swimming in the river was great, the property was clean and the hosts were wonderful. The garden vegetables were offered to us and made our meal so much more delicious! We highly recommend this Airbnb and we’ll return but not just for one night next time. Bring ice if you need it. Finding the property was a mild challenge so try to arrive in daylight. Other than that this place is perfect!

Oh WOW! From the start this was a special place. Julia communicated with more information way before the booking so we knew about braai-packs, meals, horse riding etc. written in a very charming PDF. The house already had milk, farm butter, marmalade, Doornkraal Chenin Blanc in the fridge, coffee (and a plunger!!) tea, rusks, plums from that day's harvest. When travelling on a roadtrip, having things like this means we could really just arrive. +50 points for this! Breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruits, brand and cheese scones that we immediately slathered with the delicious butter, quince jam and marmalade from the fridge.Doornkraal farmstall lunch (20 mins away) - most delicious roosterkoeke and dessert wine. We also did a horse ride on the beautiful farm and ended with a sunset picnic which was incredible. Each bite amazing, delicious chutney, mustard, ostrich fillet, stuf more roosterkoek and their sparkling wine. Amazing people, special place, we will be back. Huis. Baie dankie!

Lovely bachelor type accommodation. Has everything you need. Beautiful setting and a quick drive into the village. The caretaker was pleasant and helpful.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, Marlese's warm hospitality made me feel right at home. She was incredibly accommodating and ensured that everything was perfect for my visit. Marli was also quick to respond to my messages, which made the whole experience even more seamless. The unit itself is pure luxury—well-equipped and spotless. The en-suite bedroom is super comfortable, and waking up to the breathtaking views over the pear and apple orchards was a highlight of my trip. The peaceful surroundings and mountain backdrop create the perfect escape from city life. I also felt completely safe and secure throughout my stay, which added to the overall comfort and relaxation. The kitchen had everything I needed, and the braai area on the patio was the perfect spot to unwind. If you're visiting the area, this is an absolute must-stay! I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!

The lovely peaceful location is wonderful, with the town of Oudtshoorn 10 minutes away. The house has everything you require for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Comfortable beds. Amazing inside braai lounge for when it's cold outside. The outside stoep is warm and the large garden was fantastic for our two furkids.

Amazing stay with Cheryl and Paul. They were so friendly and inviting - they came out to greet us personally on arrival and went above and beyond with extra little touches of hospitality. We will definately be back for another visit when we are in the area. Only thing to note is the dirt road, although in great condition and very smooth (like a highway in our 4x4), may not be enjoyed as much by some people in small or low cars.

This was my wife and I's first garden route trip and also had our 2 young boys. It was such a treat to stay here for a few nights, Tanja and her family definitely have an amazing gift of hospitality and hearing a bit of the history of the property was also sweet. Unbelievable sunsets!! Great home base to explore the surrounding area. We didn't manage to explore the hiking trails as much as we would've liked but we look forward to that next time! Book it whenever you can and enjoy!

We wanted to explore and be in nature on our visit to Garden Route. Trees&Seas made it happen. The tents are well equipped what really facilitate on having a luxurious confort. The dogs, rabbits, hourses, playground, views, all amazing. but the most important the hosts are so nice, husband, wife and children. What they have made there is impressive. Definitely we are coming back

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The house was situated on farmland and we felt so at peace. Lookout for their lovely dogs, the small dachshund definitely was our favourite!! The place was kept tidy and the gave us all nessecary necessities. Thank you for having us, we will definitely come visit in the future.

Had a wonderful stay. Accommodation was very nice and was a good place for a large group including kids. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

Peaceful, rustic farm living with a great view and incredible sunsets. Spacious bedrooms and living area and nice big outside space for kids to play. Close to some good hikes, a lovely beach (Buffalo Bay), a river for canoeing and farmers markets. And not too far away if you need to head into town (Knysna or Wilderness).

We loved staying at PurePlaas. It was perfectly peaceful and private. Sonja was a great host and we loved chatting with her. We also loved her 2 beautiful, friendly dogs! The space had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We could have easily spent a week or more there. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Great value for money. Beautiful tent with an amazing bathroom. Outside shower was fantastic. One thing to note is that tent 9 and tent 10 are in an area with a pool with no net so parents with young children might want to choose the other tents if their children aren't water safe. A great stay.

Visited the place for a weekend break and we got a lot more than expected. This little gem offers peaceful surroundings, interesting walks, and we’ve never seen a place accommodate our pets so well. It was an amazing stay and we’ll be back for another break soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Piglets Cottage. The location is so beautiful with the ponds & the mountains as a backdrop. Louise is the perfect host - she loaned us some binoculars for our stay. The cottage is close to some nice walks & to Wilderness. We checked out the cheesecake at the local country store - don't miss it. We will definitely be back to Piglets on our next visit & will plan a longer stay.

We do not have enough words to recommend this stay enough! Crystal was a wonderful and accommodating host. This mountain airbnb is fully kitted with all you need to break away and relax. The beautiful views, the warm indoor fireplace and the cozy beds were the best. My favourite part of the stay were the animals (chickens, cows, dogs and sheep) that would peacefully walk around on the property unperturbed. We had a lovely and personalized girls trip thanks to this airbnb!

Peter is an awesome and gregarious host. He is very knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics, both local and global and holds an intelligent conversation. He has a great sense of humor and is very hospitable. The place is set in a kloof with awesome hills, water and bush around and is very tranquil. It is well worth travelling the dirt road till 11km outside Calitzdorp. Great value for money
