Newly renovated mountain cabin 58 sqm and a guest house of 8 sqm outside the entrance.

Amazing mountain experience in Ottsjö in Åre

In this fantastic little mountain village of Ottsjö, our newly built house is located in a high location overlooking the mountain world in Åre. The house is 76 sqm with panoramic windows and beautiful material choices. In this house you will feel like you are outside even when sitting inside by the fireplace with a cup of tea. Just behind the house there are several prepared cross-country trails, snowmobile tracks, hiking trails and proximity to fine fishing. A perfect house for friends and families with children who also want to bring their dog.

Cottage with three bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, hall, living room and sauna. Ottsjö is a cosy mountain village with its own well-stocked country shop. The cottage is located high up in the area with proximity to ski trails, hiking trails and snowmobile trails. Next to the cabin is a 5 km prepared ski track both classic and skate. Scooter trail passes about 100 meters from the cabin. The hiking trails take you to, among other things,, Hållvallen, Trillevallen, and Ytterstvallen. Brattland bike/ski lodge is located beautifully above E14, about 8 km from Åre village. Car parking is available at the houses. By car, it takes ten minutes to the village. If you want to go by bus, you get down to the stop at E14. You can bring skis or boards on the bus. In addition to skiing and cycling, you can hike, fish, go dog sledding, rent snowmobiles and a variety of other activities. Welcome to a modern mountain home for the family. Here you can relax in front of the fire and enjoy the view of the mountain world glimpsed between the treetops. Wood-fired sauna on the plot completed in January 2024. Fine longitudinal tracks and groomed trails are just outside the door. Trillevallens ski area offers both easily accessible off piste as well as a large children's area and good backlunch. Transport lift to the ski area is a few hundred meters from the house or a couple of minutes by car.

To Trillevallen it is 10 minutes by car and to Åre about half an hour. Welcome to Ottsjö, a small village located 30 min (by car) from Åre. Perfect location for skiing, downhill in Trillevallen or Åre and cross country around the village. In the summer the area is great for hiking.

Very nice little cottage in a beautiful valley! Was easy to check in and we easier Extended out stay by an additional day. Marie was able to share some good info on activities and skiing opportunities in the area. The cabin is cosy and well equipped, just note sheets are not included. We hope to come back!

Beautiful cabin with lake and mountain views. The location is really peaceful in the forest but close to the village with a small convenience store. Åre is 30 min drive so easily accessible to go skiing in winter. Jens is a great host. He took care that our arrival went in the best conditions and gave us a good instruction on how to use the accommodation and how to leave it before leaving. We loved our week-long stay.

An absolutely fantastic place, close to everything you might want to do in a mountain. Unfortunately, winter had begun to shine with its absence at our stay but if you visit the cabin at normal snow length, you can go both luck and downhill directly from the cabin and back again. The cottage is probably relatively newly built and very fresh, possibly it has sat down a bit which caused the doors at the front and back to be a bit tricky when opening and closing. But it was kind of the only small thing we thought about, otherwise top notch!

An extraordinarily nice accommodation, located in a very beautiful place. The view over the Storsnasen mountain is unforgettable. Well located between Åre Storlien and Storulvån. We also got to experience a crackling northern light seen from the terrace. Highly recommend.

Our second time at the Airbnb and it was just as magnificent as the first. The hosts are so kind and flexible, always there to help. It is a place where you feel at one with nature, superb views overlooking the pine-covered valley, very quiet and peaceful. It has everything you need, lovely kitchen to cook and great living area to relax next to the fire. I hope we can come back again! Thank you.

We were very happy with the place. We were there over Christmas and New Year. Upon arrival, the driveway and the path up to the house were already cleared of snow. The area is very quiet and beautiful. In summer you can certainly go hiking great. About 15 minutes walking is a small ICA shop. Also over the holidays, this had great opening hours and you were offered a really large selection there. The two owners are super sweet and even speak German. In winter, you should be well prepared for snow and smoothness! But we often had sunny weather and thus a beautiful view from the window front of the house. Despite the snow, you can make some trips to the Vålådalen or the waterfall at Åre. Apart from that, you can ski a lot in the region. For 6 people, the living room spaces were a bit scarce, but there is a couch on both floors. Playing and sitting together was therefore only at the dining table.
