The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Located on a private lot on Ethel Lake, you will have lake access to your own private beach just steps away from the deck and a dock to secure any boat, kayak, canoe, or raft. Located just a short walk from the 1910 Sip House and a short drive to nearby towns of Ottertail and Battle Lake.
