Holiday rentals with lake access in Ottawa

This was a comfortable and enjoyable Airbnb. The neighborhood was lovely, and the host was both pleasant and quick to respond to any questions. We would happily book again.

La maison était très belle et l’environnement très tranquille. Tout est bien équipé et bien aménagé. La seule petite chose qui nous a un peu déplu était qu’il y avait des cheveux/poils dans un des lits à notre arrivée. La vaisselle aussi était parfois sale, mais je crois que c’est la responsabilité des anciens locataires. L’emplacement est super, près des commodités.

If anyone is looking for the perfect getaway spot with family and friends, this lovely river retreat has it all!! Gorgeous property, loads of space for guests to gather together or all have their own little small magical experiences. This home has everything that could be asked for. Location was easy to find and access, yet felt fully private and removed from the rest of the world. This place is set up for entertaining and relaxing, I was impressed from the moment we opened the door. The house is spacious, airy, and incredibly comfortable. Everyone felt right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked, whatever you can think of was there, and the bedding and furniture were so fresh and comfortable. Extras everywhere! Our hostess Julie was amazing to communicate with. From our very detailed access instructions, to responding quickly to any questions, she made this weekend a phenomenal one. Julie has created a riverside oasis for any group big or small, and we would happily come back!

If you are going out in that area and looking for a place to stay, highly recommend. Place is just as the pictures show. Very clean.

We stayed at Kyle’s place while visiting family in Nepean, and it exceeded our expectations. Kyle has truly thought of everything—from the beautiful screened-in porch and outdoor games to the relaxing hot tub. Inside, the space is tastefully designed, exceptionally clean, and well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen and high-quality linens that made our stay extra comfortable. Kyle was proactive, responsive, and a pleasure to communicate with throughout. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to staying again on our next visit.

We had such an amazing time. Never a moment of "what to do next". The house was very clean and well equipped. Really all you need is a toothbrush, and you're good to go. 😆 Our nights of sitting around the campfire, playing pool, board games, and paddle boarding will forever be a memorable vacation. The amount of board games is incredible! Though to me the paddle board was everything. Laying on that board out in the middle of the water in complete silence..there's nothing like it. Such a peaceful spot. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be visiting again. Also, downtown being close, was key. Our first day was spent walking throughout the city enjoying all of the amazing architecture, Museums and visiting the ByWard Market. The amount of food and shopping is fantastic. Another must see is the Diefenbunker. We spent 3 hours touring the 4 underground levels. You have opened our eyes on just how beautiful Ottawa is, and we look forward to our next journey there. Our overnight stay was perfect-pictures do not do it justice! Marlene’s retreat is the perfect place to unwind-especially the dining area overlooking the river-magical! From the well equipped kitchen (and welcoming bottle of bubbly), to the wonderfully comfortable beds, I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay-a dip in the steamy hot tub, really topped off our busy day. So thank you Marlene, you are the perfect hostess, from the moment we arrived, until we left, appreciated all of your attention to detail, made the whole experience seamless, and so memorable-THANK YOU.

Great last minute place to stay!!

This is a wonderful place to stay, would definitely book again if in the area. The apartment is modern as advertised, super clean and very well equipped. The bed and linens were so comfortable and the apartment was nice and quiet. We could not have found a better place to stay!

we would highly recommend. Diana went above and beyond. There were so many personal touches that made our stay so enjoyable. Diana definitely thought of the comfort of her guests. we were there for our son's wedding and staying here made it easier to enjoy our weekend.

We had a great time at Brenda’s space on the lake. Being able to look out over the lake was a great way to wake up. Brenda was responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Beautiful spot on the water, with a perfect little area for the kids to wade into the lake. A dock for fishing, kayaks, and paddle boards. I love that there were kids size life jackets, made me much more comfortable with the kids playing in the water. Very cozy cottage and had everything we needed. I look forward to booking it again :)

This place is in a beautiful location directly on the Rideau River. It felt very private and inviting. The outdoor space is fantastic with a large yard, plenty of seating options, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen and the possibility of doing water activities, or simply relaxing. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It was a nice treat to watch a few boats or kayaks go by, or to see wildlife on the river while sitting at the kitchen table having coffee and breakfast. It was funny to see the goats and chickens perk up and watch us, or run up to the fence as we were driving by. They are so cute! It’s a great place to unwind and relax. The extra little touches, such as fresh eggs and s’mores were welcomed. I would highly recommend Kiara’s place and would stay again if the opportunity came up.

Vraiment magnifique Beaux moments en amoureux

Pictures and words do not give this beachfront property any justice! Looking out the windows and seeing the beautiful waterfront and having a bonfire on the Sandy beach was truly a dream. We went sup boarding, kayaking and enjoyed the water for the majority of our stay. There’s a cute little bar in town within walking distance. Even though you are closer to other houses you still have your privacy. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. I can’t wait to return and recommend this cute beach front accommodation!

I couldn't be more thankful to Sean for opening up this gorgeous cabin/house for us on the most amazing river. The house is immaculate, trust me I'm an airforce brat! The Sofa and chairs invited you ti relax as long as you want in deep comfort, and the lovely extra blankets and cushions are just wonderful. At night, the firepit and the comfy chairs kept us all smiling. The screened tent is fantastic for sitting right beside the river. The stones at the water's edge are flat and smooth mostly, great for getting your feet wet. And the best part of all, the wonderful sound of the river, which you can hear from the front door. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the wildlife. Ducks, Robin's, yellow finches, hummingbirds, and more. The chipmunks are adorable as well. MY friends and I were sincerely impressed and had an amazing stay.
