Beach house holiday rentals in Orford

Had a fabulous stay at this wonderful beach front property. Everything had been thought of to ensure we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Looking forward to returning soon.

We booked Ann’s place to relax and reset after a busy few months. It was everything that we had hoped for. The place has beautiful views and is light and bright. We love to cook and Ann’s kitchen has everything you need to cook a beautiful meal. There is a fantastic selection of CD’s, DVD’s and books which we made use of. The house has such a homely feel with comfy couches for lounging. What a gorgeous place, we absolutely loved it.

Perfection. Attention to detail- even in the kitchen…we had all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook like a chef at the house! There are even pantry items there- so check on that before running to the grocery store in town because we bought doubles in some things. I’m sure the selections in the pantry will vary. In addition, there may be garden produce ready for the picking!! Make sure and check with the host first- that will be seasonal, I’m sure. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water, tub with jets is helpful after a day of sight-seeing. As owner notes, it isn’t hot, just warm…but it was still a good experience. Decks overlook bay/ocean- you get to witness the changing colors of the Hazards throughout the day standing over the bay. And if you are wondering- we saw amazing Aurora lights out over the water! Windows everywhere! Just incredible’views- there are no words. And you boy minutes from Swansea. Host has a book with restaurant suggestions. Grocery.❤️

Such a beautiful place. Very comfortable, warm and relaxing. The views were amazing, the sunrises next level. Facilities were great. Beds very comfy. Gardens were so pretty. Kitchen easy to use. Lounge room and woodfire so warm and cosy. A lovely place to spend Mother's day weekend. Thank you

What a lovely home to stay at! The photos don’t do this place justice, it’s a really fabulous place with beautiful surroundings. We loved the decor and could tell a lot of time and thought had gone into making this Airbnb. The balcony overlooks the beach and if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. In terms of location, there isn’t much within walking distance however we were well aware of this before booking. However, what is great about this place, it is a good middle point for tourist destinations such as Hobart, Port Arthur or even if you wanted to travel up the East coast. Would highly recommend staying here, we had a great time. Thanks for letting us stay!

Fabulous! Just like holidays when I was a kid - so nostalgic! Loved the 50s colours & decor & the thoughtful touches like hot choc & marshmallows, which were most appreciated after a long drive. Plenty of cookware and crockery, a lovely hot shower, comfy lounges and beds. Great range of DVDs to suit all tastes. and so many beautiful places to visit around the peninsular. Best of all - that beautiful beach through the back gate!! Really appreciate that you allow pets & have fully fenced yard. My little dogs had a fantastic time frolicking on the beach as did I. We definitely want to come back!

We absolutely loved our week at Michelle's place. It was a great base to do all of the stunning Tassie Peninsula hikes and the view from house is spectacular. We were lucky enough to see a pod of seals lazily swimming by on the morning we were leaving. What a treat!

this is the second time we have stayed here and I honestly have nothing to complain about. everything was perfect , again. We had everything we needed and more. Don't hesitate to experience this homely little surf shack for yourself, in the best part of Tassy.

What a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days R&R or an extended holiday. We were a group of seven who had been travelling around Tassie, playing golf. We had two nights here for a lovely rest, and what a fabulous place to do just that. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. We really didn't need to leave the house as there was plenty to do there, either relaxing by the fire, playing pool or relaxing in the spa and pool. The house is perfect for a group of friends or a family reunion for a holiday or a few days catch up. I would recommend this property to anyone. Beautiful place! 10 members in 2 families stayed for 4 nights while driving around Tasmania. We cooked most meals in and enjoyed the space for our Canadian/Australian family connection. There was a lot of space to be alone or together. We even did yoga on the top floor that was fully equipped. There are beautiful surroundings near the sea and we were grateful to have the pool available so close to winter. The total experience made a great memory for our families.

We had an excellent few days with our family at Marina’s house. The house is simple with large rooms and lots of space indoor and out. The view is lovely and ever changing and the kids loved the ducks and native hens. An ideal place for a family gathering.

Great location for family or friends to get together. Literally walk out the door onto a beautiful beach. Plenty of outdoor amenities available incl swimming pool, tennis, basketball hoop, billiards, kayaks etc. Quiet and peaceful area, but close to airport and to Hobart so very convenient. Great communication from Julie in advance who also met us on arrival and showed us in. Thank you for a great stay.

Bowen was just a great host and very responsive. The home was wonderful with an amazing view, love sitting there and watching the ships. When we are in Hobert will be staying there again.

Nick and Georgi were exceptional hosts, responsive, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay. The house itself was a perfect space for our group of friends. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully equipped for a larger group, it offered everything we needed and more. From the stunning views to the comfortable communal areas with heated floors, every detail contributed to a truly memorable experience. The generous touch of fresh bread and wine on arrival made it feel extra special. The indoor pool and sauna were a standout feature and an absolute highlight of our winter getaway, everyone loved it. I honestly can’t recommend this home highly enough. A truly outstanding stay.

Appreciated that we could bring our elderly dog with us. Lovely property with a great aspect from the back of the house. Lots of great outdoor zones within the fenced back yard. We were disappointed that we couldn’t spend more time at the property as it was work trip with us attending a weekend conference being held at the Eastcoaster. Bernacchi’s Retreat had everything we could want, with many extra’s.

Wonderful accommodation, the room facilities are very new and convenient, the view is beautiful, the lawn and beach rest area gave the children a lot of space to play, the Milky Way at night, many kangaroos and bunnies around the evening, adding a lot of fun to this accommodation.Overall, it's really great, and I believe I'll come back to this beautiful holiday spot in the future.

Absolutely blown away by our stay, everything was perfection. Our host Nancy’s communication was great, and the detailed, helpful information provided before and during our stay made everything so seamless. The main house tour was such a delight, setting the tone for the incredible experience. As for the location, it's truly heaven on earth. I honestly believe I will never stay anywhere prettier! The house itself is styled to absolute perfection, with insane attention to detail in every corner. But without a doubt, it was that breathtaking main view and the stunning, color-coded bookcase that truly stole the show and captured my heart. Thank you for creating such an unforgettable and beautiful escape! We can't wait to return some day!

Beautiful place and area! We had an amazing stay. Sarah-Jane was extremely generous and accommodating with an early check in. The place had everything that we needed and we loved our stay.

We had a great stay! The place was super clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing. The host was really responsive and helpful. We loved playing tennis in the evenings and watching the sunset — such a nice touch. Would definitely come back! Thanks Emma and Sam :)

Second stay at Fran's place. Beautiful new bathroom with floor heating. The place was lovely and warm for this time of year. Didn't need to light the woodheater as the heatpump warmed up the home beautifully. Lovely outlook and very private.

Thanks Michael and Debbie - this was our third or fourth stay at your fantastic house! It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The kitchen is great to cook in, the beds are comfortable, the BBQ works well, the living area is delightful and the beach is just a short stroll across the road. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay at Orford. What a beautiful house, great for entertaining a big group of people. Perfect location, walking distance to plenty of beautiful beaches and to the pub! Jess & Gavin are great communicators, very prompt and helpful with responses. We will be back!
