Holiday rentals in Orca

We had a wonderful stay at Paula's casa! The house was not only clean and cosy but also incredibly well thought out – probably the most thoughtfully designed place we've ever stayed in. Every detail was taken care of, from the fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities to the well-equipped bathroom and cleaning supplies. It truly felt like a home away from home, with everything we could possibly need right at our fingertips. Enjoying mornings on the balcony was the perfect extra touch – so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be returning! Paula was also very responsive to our messages and a delight to communicate with throughout. Thank you so much for such a fantastic stay! xxx

We really loved staying in Orca at Helena's place. Because of the season, Helena was in Lisbon and could not be there in person to help us, but her friend Fátima lives nearby and was very responsive and attentive. We felt very welcome! The region is amazing: Quiet, peaceful, lots of nature. This also comes with its caveats. We work remotely so we need a good Internet connection. Unfortunately, the Internet was not so fast, but this was expected. It's definitely fast enough for vacation. Also, the electricity went out after we turned on the washing machine; these things can happen when living in a rural region. However, all in all, we really liked staying at Helena's place and enjoyed the region and its people. We would definitely come back.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf dem Floating Àlvaro sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen haben uns die Ruhe und die wunderschöne Natur rundherum, ein perfekter Ort zum Abschalten. Der Gastgeber und seine Frau waren jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Jetzt im Frühling war es angenehm ruhig, nur ein paar einzelne Fischer waren unterwegs. Im Sommer wird es durch Badegäste und Barbesucher sicher etwas lebhafter, aber das gehört ja auch zur Ferienatmosphäre dazu. Ein wirklich besonderer Ort, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Una maravilla !!! El entorno es impresionante, si vienes con la idea de respirar aire puro y escuchar solo el cante de los pájaros, despertar con ese café en mano, levantar mirada y maravillarte del paisaje que tienes delante de tus ojos …. My stay at Susan‘s place was unique and unforgettable. Not only the location and the view are breathtaking but the vibe of the space and its very welcoming hosts are very special.. I strongly recommend staying here as a starting point to discover Serra da Estella and all the beautiful villages and river beaches around… The apartment and its equipped kitchen has all you would need. Swimming in the natural pool filled with source water feels like swimming in the river, with an incredible view on the mountains around… I spent a week here, mostly to work in a quiet environment and really loved it … Can’t wait to return again…

A Lord of the Rings lover’s dream! We had a wonderful stay. The property is so peaceful and is nestled close to the mountains. The hosts were very kind!

The home was comfy and in the most stunning grounds with views across the entire valley. The pool is beautiful and clean and the grass of the garden lawn is beautiful. Inside has a lounge which is rare in Portugal as well as comfy beds and plenty of space. The showers are quite narrow to get in and out of but that is the only small negative I can think of! Joao is also lovely and always on hand to help when needed.

Estive duas noites na Casa Canela com a minha namorada. Fizemos esta escolha pois queríamos “fugir” ao caos da cidade e procurar um sítio para descansar! Excedeu as nossas expectativas! Lugar super calmo, com todas as comodidades! Cozinha super bem equipada, casa de banho impecável e quarto fenomenal! A limpeza, arrumação e cuidado estava excelente! A piscina super bem tratada tanto como todo o espaço à volta! Mesmo com o Steve a morar no piso de cima, a privacidade foi total! O Steve é fantástico e super disponível! A casa tem todas as condições e comodidades para quem quiser passar uma ou duas semanas! Sem dúvida alguma o melhor sítio onde fiquei! Espero algum dia poder voltar!
