House holiday rentals in Opossum Bay

What a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days R&R or an extended holiday. We were a group of seven who had been travelling around Tassie, playing golf. We had two nights here for a lovely rest, and what a fabulous place to do just that. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. We really didn't need to leave the house as there was plenty to do there, either relaxing by the fire, playing pool or relaxing in the spa and pool. The house is perfect for a group of friends or a family reunion for a holiday or a few days catch up. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Jason for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We had a great stay at Vicki’s property. We loved the hot spa after a day exploring the area and the fireplace to sit in front of and relax. A very comfortable home with local wallabies and some chickens on site. The early wake up by the rooster took a bit of getting used to but otherwise very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely large clean and tidy home a short drive from Hobart. We particularly loved the views!

This is an outstanding property with a wonderful and responsive host. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The house is very private and well appointed, maintained and stocked with quality produce and supplies - we were also welcomed by a beautiful hamper, and warm service. The property itself has stunning views from almost every window. We enjoyed using the gym (located in an adjacent private building which can also be used as a study), pool and spa. We had a few things on our list to visit for the Huon Valley but were very content to stay at the house and enjoy all the amenities. We would most definitely return here when visiting Tasmania.

We had an excellent few days with our family at Marina’s house. The house is simple with large rooms and lots of space indoor and out. The view is lovely and ever changing and the kids loved the ducks and native hens. An ideal place for a family gathering.

Great location for family or friends to get together. Literally walk out the door onto a beautiful beach. Plenty of outdoor amenities available incl swimming pool, tennis, basketball hoop, billiards, kayaks etc. Quiet and peaceful area, but close to airport and to Hobart so very convenient. Great communication from Julie in advance who also met us on arrival and showed us in. Thank you for a great stay.

Chantelle was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. I had a lot of questions, both for myself and on behalf of the group. Chantelle was always quick to respond and happy to assist. Her communication was excellent, and she was flexible with our check-in times, which really helped accommodate our busy schedule. The house itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. It was so well-equipped, down to all the essentials, which made staying in really enjoyable and convenient. I’d definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Tassie.☺️

Gorgeous spacious home for a group or family. Comfortable beds. Lots of kitchen utensils, crockery and cookware to easily make any meals in-house if wanting to. Warm floor seating throughout making it feel very cosy for houw large the space is.

We booked Ann’s place to relax and reset after a busy few months. It was everything that we had hoped for. The place has beautiful views and is light and bright. We love to cook and Ann’s kitchen has everything you need to cook a beautiful meal. There is a fantastic selection of CD’s, DVD’s and books which we made use of. The house has such a homely feel with comfy couches for lounging. What a gorgeous place, we absolutely loved it.

We had a lovely stay at Oskar’s place. Everything was spotlessly clean, he was a great communicator and lovely warm and comfy beds and a fabulous view. Oskar offered early check in as he knew we were arriving in the morning, so made the house available for us.

Awesome stay at James. Incredibly proactive, kind and communicative host. House was really beautiful and all the little touches were covered. Easy to navigate the home, clear instructions, stacked pantry. Felt like home, not just a money maker. How all hosts should be. Thanks guys

We loved our stay at Peter’s place. Great water views and central to all the walking we wanted to do. Clean and comfortable with good heating. Hope to return one day.

We were lucky enough that there was a last minute booking available, my partner and I were camping and in desperate need of a refresh. The cottage was the perfect place to reset while also still feeling as if we were out in the open as we were surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the most adorable animals. We felt very welcomed as Michelle showed us around the home and gave fantastic recommendations for food and activities in the area when we checked in, and she gave us plenty of privacy for our stay. The cottage is stocked with plenty of furnishings and accessories to make it feel like a home away from home, and the fresh milk left for us in the fridge was delicious. Thank you so much for the most relaxing stay and we will definitely book again when we come back to Tassie 😊

This place was so wonderful to stay at. Everything was beautifully curated and all the attentions to detail were wonderful. Craig has truly thought of everything in creating this place. The view was also incredible and location was so convenient for places like Port Arthur. We loved our time here and would love to come back one day

The property has absolutely stunning views. The space was exactly as described. It was clean and tidy and it would’ve been lovely to use the fireplace to complete the experience. The host was very responsive and proactive with communication, there was certainly no shortage of messages. All in all, a peaceful and picturesque escape.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful Opossum Bay property. It was absolutely perfect for our two families—spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is stunning, with a lovely beach just a stone’s throw away and a jetty nearby that was perfect for fishing. We especially loved the fireplace—it made the evenings feel extra cosy. A really special spot to unwind and reconnect. Highly recommend!

The photos truly don’t do James’ place justice! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the house and its surroundings were. Nestled in a peaceful spot with sweeping views of the water, this home quickly became our sanctuary. We spent most of our time soaking up the scenery from the balcony or wandering down to the waterfront - it was pure bliss. The layout of the house is incredibly thoughtful, offering both comfort and style in every corner. Every detail, from the decor to the natural light pouring through the windows, made the space feel warm and welcoming. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. We were genuinely sad to leave, but one thing’s for sure - we’ll definitely be back. Staying here made our visit to Tasmania even more special. Connie and Johnnie's property is super spacious and perfect for my family of 6 adults. We knew this house is not near Hobart city, but that's one of the reasons we made it our base - to enjoy the peace and quiet. The view towards the water was dreamy. As hosts, Connie and Johnnie were very responsive and helpful. Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

Very nice and fantastic home

Beautiful peaceful place to getaway and unwind. Host was very helpful in extended my trip a few times and was just as helpful when I needed to shorten the trip as well. Couldn’t ask for a better host! As plans do change unexpectedly, the host was very understanding and I was able to shorten my trip without hassle or worry. Beautiful amazing views of the water. Felt like I was ontop of the world!

This beautiful beach house is exactly what you need if you're looking to completely relax. Deborah has made the space cosy, gorgeous decor, and lots of lovely touches to make the stay one ro remember. Being so close to the beach is amazing. I highly recommend this property, I can't wait to come back 😊

beautiful place with high ceilings and double height glass so you get the views from any angle. everything was clean, new, high-spec and well thought-out. we loved the fireplace, looking out over the bay from the couch amd the bath. the space exceeded our expectations.
