Such a lovely cottage and would say even better than the photos! Great that the river doesn’t have motorised boats and very quiet with just the one cottage further up. A little slippy to get in on the rocks but once you’ve done it once and got a route it is all good! Great communication from Yolanda with detailed instructions. Thank you!

Très belle expérience en nature en respect avec nos valeurs. Le site est très propre et facile d'accès. Le propriétaire et les employés sont tous très accueillants et sympathique. Nous avons même eu l'occasion de visiter les autres ébergements qui n'étaient pas loués lors de notre visite et ils sont tous très beaux. Les randonnées sur le site sont très plaisantes également.

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes. We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don't think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it!

The listing could be a bit clearer on the tuning water, bathroom and electrical situation.

We enjoyed this stay, but it wasn't clear from the listing just how off the grid it was. No electrical outlets (though there was an arrangement for charging devices), no cell coverage, no WiFi, no running water (equipped with a very effective pump from a well for drinking water, and a supply of non-potable water for showers, etc.). Would absolutely recommend it, but you should know what you're getting into :-)

Nous n'avons malheureusement pas séjourné chez Aksel dû à des circonstance hors de notre contrôle, mais l'hôte était super réactifau message et a été d'une grande aide.

Le chalet était tout simplement magnifique, conforme à la description et encore mieux en personne. Tout était impeccablement propre à notre arrivée, et l’ambiance chaleureuse nous a permis de passer un séjour très reposant. L’hôte a été extrêmement proactif, toujours disponible et attentionné, ce qui a grandement facilité notre expérience. Je recommande ce chalet sans hésitation et j’y retournerais avec plaisir !

Ticey’s place was truly magical.. the pictures don’t do it justice. She was an incredible host - thoughtful, responsive and generous. I would most definitely go again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Christian. La cabane était très confortable, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire pour un petit séjour à deux. Le cadre est très calme et magnifique, particulièrement sous la neige ! Le sauna et le jacuzzi (partagés avec une autre cabane) étaient excellents. Merci à Christian pour son accueil et sa gentillesse !

Rustic tree cabin as described by Arthur. It was perfect for a mini-camping-esque trip. We enjoyed the small paddle in the canoe, the campfire, and the wood stove.

We very much appreciated being able to stay in this unusual setting for one night on our bike ride along the northern shore of Lake Erie. Because it's hard to explain where the driveway is down on the street from the house, we spent a lot of energy dragging up the very steep driveway before we could figure out where to put them. As others have commented, the steps are a lot and feel a little more rickety than they might ... but we felt them particularly because we had already biked more than 60 miles and were not in need of "steps." Appreciated having two bathrooms, comfortable spaces, and the proximity to town. My son declared it all "10 out of 10!" We really loved the chance for a quick encounter with wonderful Port Stanley.

Partir dans les Bois fin octobre evidemment il peut faire froid, donc Je recommanderais d’y aller un peu plus tot (il aurait ete bien que le chauffage soit allume un peu avant notre arrivee car il avait fait -8 la nuit precedente, et -2 notre premiere nuit ; et notamment pour “chauffer” la literie) et aussi pour profiter des couleurs des arbres. Mais nous etions seuls sur le site et vivre dans ces Bois Et sur le lac sans personne d’autre que les castors et autres animaux a ete une experience inoubliable et tres benefique. La Cabane perchee est magnifique et magique. Chambre en haut tres confortable, sofa bed ok en bas. Communication pas tres reactive avant le voyage mais sur place tres bien (aide au chauffage, apport eau). Les cabines de douche à l’accueil : luxe. A la belle periode, activites sur le lac, yoga etc. avec les enfants aussi a mon avis incroyable. Bref, une experience inoubliable que nous garderons mon fils & moi pour toujours dans nos esprits et nos coeurs 🙏🏻💫 💚🌳.

Lovely tranquil stay! Perfect little spot for a quiet retreat to relax and unwind. The host was very responsive and everything was nicely taken care of. We can’t wait to come back again in the fall

What a lovely place to stay. In the woods and amongst the tree tops. The place was clean and everything was available that you’d need. I appreciated the back up generator operating when the power went out in a thunderstorm! Mike was great to chat with as well.
