The cabins , has been constructed using a mixture of techniques and diverse materials, it is an attempt to recover the use of traditional materials and aesthetics. Most of the bamboo used and all the wood has been recovered from the bamboo forest and fallen trees after Hurricane Nate in October 2017. We had a fantastic few days here!!!!! It’s rustic and no frills but literally on the beach - walking out to that view every morning was unbelievable. The beds were clean and comfy. It’s windy at night and noisy with the ocean right there but personally for me the sound of the waves crashing was bliss. The restaurant was great and it was just perfect for what we wanted. Air con really isn’t needed because of the natural ventilation. Their dog was the best too :). Thank you for a memorable stay.

Nothing bad to say about Hector y Isabel's place. Hector was such an amazing host who is so gracious and knowledgeable about the beautiful island of Ometepe. He gave us a great deal on renting his motorcycle and even brought in his sister in law to teach us how to cook local cuisine. If you ask nicely, he might even bring you up the hill and show you his beautiful farm on the side of the Maderas Volcano. Great location right on the beach and close to restaurants and 2km or so to Ojo De Agua. Do yourself a favor and stay in this great spot. Thanks Hector!

Hector and Isabel were great hosts. The apartment is right across the highway from the lake and the bus stops right in front if you wave it down. The kitchen is enough for minor cooking, and great affordable restaurants are close by. Hector was very patient with our limited Spanish and was a great teacher and help. We enjoyed this very relaxing location immensely and look forward to next time.

Like at home, a home full of love and sharing: 1. The place is beautiful, clean and organized. The rooms are very beautiful and spacious, the bedding is good. You can do your laundry there. Teresa does everything she can to make it comfortable and it's been a success! 2. The location is very convenient, close to almost all the must-sees. Teresa recommended several activities to us at anti-competitive rates provided by local voluntary and involved service providers. 3. Teresa is a reason to stay there. She is caring, interesting and funny, she cooks divinely and is alone a must-see on the island. You would lose not meeting her, our stay would have a fade chouia without her. Such a great stay! I was at Missy's place for 10 days and can't say enough. Super simple, super cute place. Beautiful back garden area with hammocks and a breeze and a covered area for some shade. Kitchen was well-equipped. In a great location close to yummy comidors and restaurants and El Pital (chocolate tour), Finca Magdelana is an easy walk as well as nearby bars, and places to do yoga and dance. Fruit stands and a place to rent bikes just down the street. I did not want to go! Thanks Missy :)

The stay was perfect. We were welcomed at Mulberry's as if we were at home. Her family helped us on a daily basis and were there as soon as we had questions despite our poor level in Spanish. We managed to do everything on foot, by bus or taxi from the house. The kids loved the animals around the house. We'll be happy to go back.
