Ecological principles have been followed in every hand-crafted detail with the use of locally sourced and natural materials to make a breathable, healthy house. Quiet and secluded, environmentally conscious retreat for those who enjoy birdwatching and walks, dark skies, owl hoots and wood fires.

Ivy Cottage is the perfect size for 2, although it can accommodate up to 4. Ideal location, for cycling, walking, fishing and playing golf. There are dog-friendly pubs and cafes within walking distance, as well as a good selection of shops. We have an onsite games room, free for our guests to enjoy. We can accommodate 1 large or 2 small pets, however, please note, we do not have have a secure garden area. The cottage has many wonderful walks right on the doorstep for you to explore.

Heron cottage is in perfect peaceful location sitting on the north tyne river, 15 minute walk from village.The cottage is warm and cosy it is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It also has your own private outside sitting area. You also have a picnic bench on the edge of the river to watch the wild life and at night take in the amazing dark skies.
