Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Oaxaca

Casa Azul is a very good Airbnb stay for a family or group seeking to explore Oaxaca and the surrounding region. It is located in the lovely and quiet neighborhood of Xochimilco, a pleasant and mostly downhill 15 min walk to Centro. It’s a unique property with the opportunity to enjoy your morning coffee/ breakfast and your evening cocktail with a stunning rooftop view of the mountains from your outdoor kitchen/ living space. There are wonderful bakeries and chocolate shops close by, as well as the Michelin listed restaurant Ancestral, just next door. Ruben, Niz and Jazmine were responsive hosts, both promptly resolving any issues that arose and providing helpful recommendations. In particular, Ruben recommended Anuar as a guide. Anuar was excellent, taking us on a whole day tour of Teotitlán del Valle (textiles), Matatlan (mezcal) and Hierve el Agua (swimming and waterfalls) -- and a delicious lunch at the local market in Tlacolula.

Bonito lugar, muy amplio y muy completo, poquito lejos del centro histórico pero vale la pena. El lugar esta repleto de artesanías y detalles arquitectónicos muy lindos además de un gran jardín y áreas de convivencia.

It was our second time staying at Alans. All great and as described. The house is modern and well designed and area nice with some shops and a large kids playground nearby. Would def stay again

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Andrea war super nett und zu jederzeit sehr reaktionsschnell und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Die Lage ist super, man ist in wenigen Gehminuten im Zentrum und man hat gleichzeitig die Ruhe des Wohngebiets vor Ort. Die private Terrasse war perfekt um nach einem Tag in der Stadt zur Ruhe zu kommen. Dank der Klimaanlage oben konnten wir jede Nacht sehr gut schlafen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Nuestra estancia fue excelente. La casa es muy bonita, cómoda y bien cuidada, lo que hizo que nos sintiéramos como en casa desde el primer momento. La alberca siempre estuvo a una temperatura perfecta, ideal para relajarse en cualquier momento del día. Gigi fue una anfitriona increíble, siempre atenta y al pendiente de cualquier detalle, lo que hizo que nuestra experiencia fuera aún mejor—sin duda, una de las mejores (si no la mejor) que hemos tenido en Airbnb. La ubicación es muy conveniente: aunque no está en pleno centro, en coche hacíamos máximo 15 minutos para llegar. Definitivamente volveríamos. ¡Súper recomendado!

What a lovey spot for our family to gather and have a home base as we explored Oaxaca. It was perfect for us and we loved our time there. Mariana was helpful in her recommendations and there was never a need to contact her during our stay as the home provided everything we needed. It was also so very nice to have Raquel to clean for us and Efrain to manage the pool and outdoor spaces. We highly recommend this spot for travel to Oaxaca.

Great location and super functional space

This is by far one of the best air bnbs we have ever stayed at. The family that runs the casa are incredibly generous and friendly. They have a really yummy restaurant next door which we also would highly recommend. This was the highlight of our stay in Oaxaca. Wish we could have stayed longer. My family and I were delighted with how convenient and wonderful the department was. It was great for my party of five and allowed us to wander around the city without worrying about the time. Everything is within walking distance! I can confidently say that my stay here was better than it has been at any hotel. I would book this again!

This is a great, spacious apartment in an absolutely ideal location! The check-in process was super easy, and the place was spotless. It’s much larger than expected, which made it a really comfortable stay. Taxi service was also arranged for us which was ideal. It did get quite hot inside (which seems typical for the area), but multiple fans were provided, which helped a lot. Initially, there was no hot water in the shower and the stove was out of gas, but the host was incredibly responsive. Both were fixed within 20 minutes of messaging him. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment and would happily stay again. A wonderful spot in the heart of everything

Located minutes from delicious restaurants, local shops, a vibrant dance studio, and just above a bustling café that smells like fresh cinnamon rolls all day long. This is a great spot to explore all that the city has to offer. While being very central, the cozy room and private terrace provide a secluded get away when you need a rest after a long day exploring the busy streets. Would definitely stay again!

I’ve been to Oaxaca many times over the years & this is one of my favorite stays ever. I loved the neighborhood, full of art, character, and great eateries. I found it to be a lot quieter than the center. The space itself is ideal and super cozy for a solo traveler or a couple. Really friendly and helpful housekeepers and co-host, Angie. And meeting Cathey was a real treat. She is a true artist and you’ll feel like you’re in an artist’s home while there. She’s also very hospitable + friendly. I certainly recommend her home and look forward to returning!

The location cannot be beat. It is centrally located and everything is close. Paulina was very responsive and helpful with all her recommendations of where to eat or go and also recommends a travel company for tours. The house is comfortable, safe and easy to locate. We did stay with our dog and our dog felt comfortable also. The a/c worked great to keep the bedroom cool to sleep. I would recommend this location and the host. If we get back to Oaxaca we will stay at Paulinas.

el lugar es como se describe, bien ubicado, limpio, Edith es u muy atenta y esta pendiente de lo que necesitábamos y además nos hizo excelentes recomendaciones para conocer lugares en la Ciudad, tiene un jardín muy bonito y la estancia es un lugar acogedor, me volvería a hospedar en este lugar nuevamente!

My stay at “Los Soles Oaxaca” was great, thanks to the warm and welcoming hospitality of Paulina and Julien! They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed—a welcome fruit basket, fresh flowers, cerveza y agua upon arrival. They were always available for any questions and offered good recommendations on places to eat. The property was spotlessly clean, well decorated, and had all the amenities I needed. One of the highlights was when Paulina and Julian brought a bowl of fruit salad with yogurt and granola, warm chocolate, and bread since I didn’t have the time to go to the grocery store. I highly recommend Los Soles Oaxaca to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Leticia was an excellent host. Her love of Oaxaca is evident in her sharing all the things to do in this unique city. She provided a lot of information directly to her guests, which included, restaurant suggestions, landmarks to make sure are on your list, updating you of festivals occurring during your stay and details about the markets which offer something to everyone. Loved staying here. Felt private, yet close to the main hub of centro. Great WiFi, weekly cleaning service (I stayed for one month), and a very responsive host. I had a very nice stay here. 🙂

For those that only read the first line of reviews , simply put we found this home perfect. Now if you are still reading we will tell you that the attention we received from our host was top notch. Constanza and Clara communicated through the app so well . When we wanted a more personal communication they meet us face to face. . We learned so much about the culture of the city and some spots we would never of found in a guide book or google searches. The home itself was as described and the plants throughout the courtyard were beautiful and soothing. Picking this location for your trip is something you will not regret

We had such a wonderful stay at Casa Tilantongo - thank you for being such amazing hosts. The moment we arrived it felt like home - beautiful flowers on the table, water and snacks in the kitchen. Lots of thoughtful details to make for a comfortable stay for 6 weeks with our children, and such a fresh and modern space. The kitchen is well equipped and a great space for preparing food. Senora Paty, who comes and takes care of the plants/garden and patio areas is so lovely and does a great job. We loved being a bit out of Centro and supporting the local community businesses. Fresh tortillas around the corner everyday, fresh queso up the road, and the tastiest tortes not far and elotes coming past at night. Plus can’t forget Raices y Tierra across the road for delicious tacos and tlayudas! We made use of the local buses often and taxis to Centro which was affordable. A favourite air bnb! we hope to come back again to stay here (Oaxaca is amazing) as is Casa T!

Zanduga was amazing. Abdiel was very responsive and was quick to help with whatever we needed. the communal areas were great for sitting around and playing cards and the pool was a nice extra to end the day after walking all around the city. The leave apartment is cozy and great for couples or family families . would recommend to anyone

The Airbnb was great, it looked better in person and everything lived up to what it was. The host was incredible at responding and helping out with what we needed. The food recommendations in the apartment were great and Mariana helped us organize a driver to help us get to the airport. Bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean and updated. Nice hot water and great AC. Would love to stay here again.

Host súper atenta. La ubicaciones es bastante buena. La casa tienes espacios y utilidades que nos encantaron. Muy bonita ciudad y sitios históricos.

Mi estadia en el departamento de Cecilia fue excelente. Muy calida y amable me permitio hacer el checkin un rato antes del horario. Esta muy cerca del centro/zocalo de oaxaca te podes mover caminando sin problemas. El dpto tiene todo lo necesario para una buena estadia. La calle Zaragoza es muy transitada y bulliciosa pero por la noche se tranquiliza, el ventilador ayuda mucho en los dias calidos de Oaxaca. La cama es muy comoda. Recomiendo este alojamiento sin dudarlo!
