The simple life personified. After a short time getting oriented and realizing there were no locks on doors (be sure to bring a small padlock if that’s a concern), we fell deep into the slow and restive rhythm of the place. Beyond charming with simple details to match the back-to-basics decor. Top it off with a private beach on the vlei, cozy hot tub, outdoor shower and a very comfortable bed, and what more could you ask for?

Absolutely beautiful property; if anything the pictures cannot do justice to the panorama of the lake and surrounding hills. We were lucky with the weather and the place has everything that you need! Tim was also and hand to help out with the hot tub etc. Simply superb!

We had a wonderful stay in the old farm house and really enjoyed exploring the surroundings of the farm, hiking and taking the kayaks out on the lake. The dogs were als so sweet and friendly and the entire vibe at the farm is so relaxed and peaceful.

Wow what a stunning house in the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away from it all. Just 2 hours drive from Cape Town, Aurora is a tiny town literally in the middle of nowhere. There is a small shop and a coffee shop and that's all. You need to come with all your supplies as we were told on booking. Rojeane's house is a home from home, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house is beautifully furnished and designed and perfectly positioned for the stunning sunset views. We had plans to hike and take a trip to the coast and we were so instantly relaxed that we did nothing. We read books and played with board games from the cupboard and then had delicious long braais into the night. The homemade feta and sourdough bread were so delicious we were begging for more! We were travelling with our teenage children and 2 small dogs and we all wished to stay another night longer when we left. It was a great family weekend away from the city.

A very nice and well decorated little beach house. Right on the beach in Paternoster. Ideal for 2-4 persons. Great restaurants in the surrounding areas. Paternoster is a super relaxed village on the beach. Super seafood and above all be sure to try: Crayfish and local oysters from Saldanha. Delicious!

We were 5 adults and had a wonderful stay where each had their own private bathrooms and space although there were a number of places where we could all hang out together - such a wonderful home for groups. I had not been to Dwarskersbos for 20 years and was taken aback at the development in the area - literally all the same architecture as well, but I suppose that was inevitable over that period of time.

What a lovely, spacious place! It was spotless and tidy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We had everything we needed and more. A gas heater and hot water bottles were handy for cold nights. We will definitely visit again soon.

Marion and Rob’s place was truly amazing. We felt right at home, and their hospitality and friendliness was the cherry on top.

A beautiful massive house with all needed to stay warm in the coldest place in SA. We had an unplanned detour on the bikes and the host were concerned and still accepted us checking in only after 10pm with a smile.

We had a fabulous stay at Emma’s place, one we would definitely go back to! The position is incredible and the house has some great features - we loved the indoor Braai (BBQ)! Having the beach on your doorstep was great for our little kids, especially given you can keep an eye on them from the deck!

You are literally next to the photo frame photo opp for Lambert’s Bay, so you couldn’t ask for a better view here. It’s the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the sea, with a lived-in family holiday home feeling that adds to the charm. We recommend the endless seafood braai at Muisbosskerm too.

We had a lovely stay, the home was spotless and relaxing. Just what we needed after a long day on the road. Would have loved to have stayed a bit longer.

Mark and Jules house is beautiful property. We loved how big the spaces and the incredible ocean view. Its very peacefull and walkable to the beach. our family will for sure come back here one day 🥰❤

Had a wonderful stay!Our second visit at this house and our first time with the pizza oven which turned out to be a fun evening on the rooftop with a stunning sunset.The cottage was lovely too and both areas are well equipped with all you need.

A house with so much character, filled with personal objects and lovely books. We had some chilly days and enjoyed the fireplace and the super cosy living room. Also the outside fireplace and oven are incredible. A place with a soul.

Perfect hideaway for discovering Graaf Reinette . Private and quiet in a great location . Superb communication with the hosts and the home was clean,neat and spacious. The bed and linen was of the highest quality and the room silent . Slept so well. thanks again

We had a wonderful time at a house that is comfortable and very homely. Spotlessly clean and super well equipped. Right on the beach with beautiful sunrises and brightly lit ships on the ocean at night. Highly recommended and we will have repeat visits.

The location was wonderful and being dog friendly was a huge bonus and the reason we chose Kathy’s house . Our only comment is that the bathrooms and kitchen need a bit of an upgrade ie in bedroom 2 the shelf is so high you can’t use it. I had to store my toiletries on the floor ( no small bench or vanity top). We are slightly biased as we own a kitchen and furniture design company so probably hard to please 😊 A few towel hooks outside would be great The hot tub was a winner and we absolutely loved it and used if each day.

Perfect getaway for large family group, ample space to host a big party of people in comfort. Can't beat the beautiful location, we were spoilt with beautiful weather and felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. Really appreciated the late pm check out. Would definitely book again, big thanks from all The Pullers x

Amazing amazing view and location! We saw dolphins and whales while drinking coffee each morning. Beautiful home, and Heidi made us feel right at home. Will definitely recommend it to anyone!
