Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Northeast Minneapolis

I had a fantastic stay at Katie’s place in Northeast Minneapolis—definitely five stars. The home is beautifully and creatively decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches, including a great selection of interesting books. The beds were extremely comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the peaceful patio. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything I needed. The location was also perfect—close to everything I wanted to explore. The only minor downside was the shower setup—it’s quite low and a bit awkward if you’re tall (I’m 6’0”), but probably fine for shorter folks. Overall, a wonderful and memorable stay!

This was a pleasant, serene and wonderfully quiet space in a very active older neighborhood. It was one of the best provisioned rentals we have used. The kitchen had an array of spices, cutlery, coffe and tea, and cold beverages. The environmentally friendly washer and dryer worked well. We were visiting for a memorial service and were pleased to have a comfortable and peaceful living area when family members dropped by. We were near a variety of food markets, shops, restaurants and a wine/liquor store. We walked to these, but noticed that most also had parking lots behind them, which would make it easier for picking up heavier loads by car. We had no problems, The one message we sent to Jonathan regarding lights on the Murphy bed was answered immediately. Responses to my questions before arrival were answered clearly and quickly.

My friends and I had a great weekend at Arielle’s place. It’s perfectly located close to all of Minneapolis has to offer and is smack dab near a lot of great restaurants/bars/coffee shops. Would recommend this spot to folks

We enjoyed our stay in Minneapolis at Marinna's place! The space is comfortable and charming, and the neighborhood was relaxed and quiet with a great brewery within walking distance. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch/back patio, and the abundance of coffee supplies. Activities downtown were a short ride away. Would stay again! Thank you for hosting such a nice place.

It was cold one night and my kids wanted to have a swim after dark. Samantha's husband came over and turned the heat up on the pool to make sure we could have a swim and create some great memories. Samantha was extremely responsive and flexible with check-in time. Everything was clean and beautiful. They also had nice sound bars and subwoofers on both televisions to make movies on the big TVs that much better. My kids raved about how nice the house was and how much fun they were having. We stayed for over 6 weeks while house hunting and this place met our needs. Highlights - fenced in yard with a small grassy area for our dogs to enjoy, driveway and garage for keeping our car safe/out of elements, lots of space, modern kitchen and amazing master shower, and the area had a park right around the corner we loved walking to every day. For how long our stay was the kitchen is not super well stocked for cooking, limited drinking ware etc. and the furniture and lighting options are sparse - no table lamps in bedrooms or many seating options for how big the living room is. For my fellow light sleepers - there is a train that goes by all day long into the night/early morning and the blinds let a lot of light in. There are no curtains. The hosts were great at communicating which is always appreciated. All in all this is a really great home especially for larger crowds looking to enjoy the Twin Cities - northeast MPLS is a great middle spot to get to both easily.

My family and I rented this Airbnb for my nephew’s wedding. It was everything they listed and more. There were chargers in the room rooms for us already. There were instructions posted everywhere which I really enjoyed. But the most fun thing is that they have a wall that all their guests get to sign and it really makes you feel like they care about their guests. Also, the hosts were extremely responsive. We enjoyed our ourselves so much that we plan to come back for a longer stay hopefully the host would have us again!

I enjoyed my visit at Beth's, stayed for a week and the bed was super comfortable! Great value, I highly recommend!

This wonderful Airbnb is exactly as pictured on the website. Comfy, cozy and private, it was just the vibe I was looking for while staying in Minneapolis. The neighborhood the home is located in is super family friendly, and Sara was a lovely host with great communication. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Minneapolis!

The apartment was nice and quiet. Our check-in could have been smoother but the hiccups were my fault. A good value and a few minutes from Starbucks. Great hosts.

My friend and I absolutely LOVED staying here!! Julie was so kind and communicative and the airbnb was ADORABLE. It was close to a bunch of restaurants and vintage stores and had the best vibes. Would 100% stay here again in the future!!

John and Zina are terrific hosts and the space is perfect for a weekend getaway. It's well appointed and comfortable. Easy walking distance from Minneapolis Institute of Art, Eat Street restaurants, and shopping. Nice access to biking trails, too. Highly recommended!

A great place. Cozy but spacious. Super clean. We didn’t arrive until after 10 PM, but Susan was fine with that.

We found Andy's place to be really nice. The place was not clean when we arrived at 4pm (check-in was at 3pm)however it seemed to a honest mistake with the cleaner forgetting and was remedied that evening. Andy and his brother were responsive immediately to our concerns. Overall, the place is conveniently located, easy to street park, nicely furnished, comfortable and stocked with basics the bathroom/kitchen such as soap, coffee/tea etc. I would recommend it!

This was a wonderfully charming Airbnb that was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully preserved vintage details! My fiancé and I rented for a week to be our home base during our wedding week (my hometown, currently out-of-state). JJ was super responsive, proactively gave clear instructions, and was super kind to leave us ample snacks (got in late) and celebrated our upcoming nuptials with a bottle of champagne, slippers, and an adorable oven mitt, spatula, and cookbook. Definitely above and beyond!!! The location felt safe with easy access to highways and it was walkable to a great coffee shop and within 10 minutes from our rehearsal dinner and wedding venue. Great value and would recommend and stay again!!! The only minor thing to note is that although the upstairs tenant was very quiet, I was woken up a few mornings by (a dog?) running around upstairs excitedly. The dog was well-behaved/quiet but because the house is older I did hear its weight shifting the floorboards around.

We loved our stay at this charming, clean and comfortable unit. The location was great, close to the Macalester campus, coffee shops and other local spots. Also Jean-Claude was a responsive and kind host. We would definitely come back!

This place was exactly what we needed. Super responsive hosts (within 10 min every time!). We felt right at home. Fast WiFi for work, beautiful and great location for restaurants, bike paths and even some clubs near by. We were very happy with our stay. Can’t wait to stay again.

My husband and parents and I were in town for the weekend to visit our daughter. The area was perfect and centrally located for us. The condo was clean and well kept. Jason was very responsive to questions I had regarding parking. I just wish the weather would have nicer to use the outdoor deck! I would say the only downfall (and no fault of the owner) is that it was a bit noisy at night with people outside. However, when going to a city that is expected.

Karen’s place had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like home. The park right in front of the house made evening walks especially enjoyable. I’d recommend it to other guests!

We took a few days off to explore the twin cities and used the Airbnb as our base. The hosts were wonderful and were very proactive to ensure we had a great stay. The house was exactly as described, very comfortable, and also had all of the amenities we needed. Overall great place, great hosts! I would stay there again.

The stay was very nice. Great and creative decor that made the stay very comfortable with great energy. Nice games to play, variety of restaurants, arcade and park/playground in neighborhood. Awesome tv and sound for movie watching. Beds are super comfortable. Beautiful appliances and I love the hand soap fragrance, towels for removing. make-up (those extra details make a difference).

This was our second time booking with Lisa, however for a different unit. Again, it was a great stay. I enjoyed the coziness of this condo and quietness of the neighborhood despite being in the city. She has everything you need for cooking and baking. I work remotely and the internet speed was great. The bed was super comfortable. I appreciated the on-site laundry too. Everyone was friendly overall!
