Apartment holiday rentals in North Hertfordshire District

As this was my first ever Airbnb, I didn't know what to expect. My experience of B and B places ( and owners) caused a preference to stay in hotels where an acceptable minimum standard could be taken for granted. However, my stay at The Little Thatch was a very pleasant experience, being on the edge of the village on a small quiet road, surrounded by open countryside. My stay was enhanced by the security and comfort provided by this small flat, particularly the very comfortable mattress provided in the upstairs bedroom which lulled me into a deep sleep. The attentive hosts, Beatrice Louisa and Rob were really helpful and certainly proactive in ensuring that I didn't experience any problems during my stay.

Well looked after accommodation, had everything we needed for a short break. Off street parking is available. Good communication from the host throughout our booking and stay at the accommodation .

The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured, but what really stood out was Artyk’s hospitality. Artyk was a great host—clear, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and any questions I had were answered quickly. It’s clear he takes pride in maintaining a high standard for the space and for the guest experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-maintained, high-quality place to stay.

Jordan was very welcoming and helpful and greeted us upon arrival. We went to a show at Tottenham stadium and found the train station a short 15 minute walk away, the location enabled us to beat crowds that were heading into central London. Lots of shops/places to eat nearby. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Excellent value for money and a parking spot reserved for us. Thanks for having us!

We stayed for one night at Stephen's on our way between university open day visits. Its a very beautiful location, absolutely stunning property and a very gorgeous black Labradog that kept us entertained! Extremely comfortable sofa & beds and decadently huge TV! All the facilities we could want and Stephen was so helpful. Better than home. Would certainly stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Ros’s place, it is so peaceful and beautiful with lots of space in the apartment. Ros was really friendly and helpful, with great recommendations of things to do around the area. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Ros :)

This was such a beautiful accomodation, incredibly spacious and comfortable apartment with a beautiful shared garden out the back. Panoramic views of the area were incredibly cute and great for watching the sunset! Everything was very walkable and the train into the city was very easy to get to. Jo was a great host and always responsive!

Wow what a wonderful apartment. We had so much space and it was clean, quiet and charming. Jilly and David couldn’t do enough for us and were very helpful with information about where to shop and eat out. We came mainly for Whipsnade Zoo which is only about ten minutes away and we had a great time. We will be back!

I travelled for work and stayed in Aaron’s place. Was easy to get to and comfortable. Quiet area and relaxing. Thankyou Aaron, would recommend!

What a fabulous apartment. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but will definitely return for a longer stay. We’ve been to Marlow several times and this was a perfect base for walking into Marlow to its great eateries and shops. Great communication from Max and Carrie-Anne. Would definitely recommend.

Very well located apartment, short walk to the ration with direct trains into London and also a short walk into St Albans high street. The flat was as described and like the photos. Modern clean and had everything needed for the stay. Would recommend.

Alisa was absolutely wonderful host, and their home was lovely! We were even greeted by their two dogs and had the curry girls eggs and they were fresh and tasty! 😋 We had everything we needed to feel at home during our stay (the cake and ice cream were amazing!) Slept beautifully and cannot recommend this place enough. Will be back if we are in the area again :)

Close to tube station, roomy apartment, would stay again!

So close to the train station and London. Great to have secure parking and a nice quiet space to relax

The designs of the rooms were gorgeous, easy on the eyes, minimal and classic. It felt right at home. I definitely enjoyed spending time in the living room with Sidra and Freya, the adorable and ever relaxed german shepherd. We had late night movies and conversations. She became a great friend and has always been a superhost. There are cute cafes nearby, def try grumpy cook. They make good cappuccinos and pancakes. It was also convenient to do grocery as sainsbury is nearby, about 5-6 minute walk. No problem going to the centre as well, bus stop is an easy 5 minute walk. Train station is less than 10 mins by bus. Overall, lovely and comfortable stay. Will definitely visit Sidra and Freya soon.

We loved Gregory’s place, plenty of space for our family of 4. The beds were really comfortable and we utilised the airbed which was great. Great location, it was really easy to get on the bus to the tube and get around London. Coffee shop and corner store over the road which was really handy. We will be back!
