Pet-friendly holiday rentals in North Frontenac

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

This was the quiet, relaxing trip we needed. Such a beautiful little home, in such a serene and peaceful setting... Exactly as described and listed. They were also so nice, polite, and welcoming. We ended up at their restaurant for lunch one day as well, and it was such a lovely time.

Emily has a beautiful cottage. Her communication was clear and concise and she was an excellent host.

Great rental location , everything you need was made available or within driving distance. The cottage is spacious and allows for a lot of light which is beneficial for those looking for a stay indoors with a view.

My sisters and I recently lost our Dad and needed some time away together. This was about mid way and looked amazing. IT WAS!! Very well appointed. Incredible location. The view was amazing. The hot tub is big and relaxing. The firepit, cozy. The bedrooms plush. This felt like a high end boutique hotel stay. They had absolutely anything you could think of needing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together. In addition, we had two visitors on Saturday that ended up spending the night. Heather and Lisa were quick to respond and allowed us the add ons last-minute. We highly recommend this rental and will be back again!!

Fabulous property! So gorgeous. Wakefield is a true gem, you gotta hit up Blubarn cafe and do some hiking!

Had a wonderful weekend at the lodge, can’t wait to go back! Cindy thought of every little thing, all the extra little details were perfect and so thoughtful.

Jay was so responsive to us and all of our needs. His uniquely designed home was a perfect back drop for celebrating my weekend get an away! The beautiful outdoor space, the sprawling interior, and the extremely well stocked kitchen are all the things that made the trip extra special and easy. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Susan & Craig’s cottage by Rice Lake! The place was peaceful, clean, and beautifully located—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights was getting early access to their lovely pool, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our trip even more enjoyable. Susan & Craig were kind and responsive hosts, and their attention to detail really showed. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to visit again!

Jean- Paul's place was just what we needed for our stay in Ottawa. Great location close to the city but quiet and comfortable for the night. He was very communicative and even accommodated an early check-in which is not always possible but very appreciate. Definitely recommend this spot if visiting Ottawa!

Heather’s cottage was amazing! Able to accommodate a group of guests without squishing or being in anyone’s way! A couple little insects wanted to join our weekend but nothing a paper towel and a double wipe with some all purpose cleaner couldn’t beat! After all it is a cottage! Amazing large space (especially that sunroom!) with lots of amenities (the hot tub, chrome cast, indoor speakers and pool were a BIG HIT)! Great for game nights and the sunsets were beautiful. Bunker house was also clean and very comfortable for some of guests to stay in! Overall great experience and our hosts were so nice and easy to talk to. Would recommend this cottage and would definitely book again!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, well-appointed, roomy suite filled with thoughtful touches aimed at making our stay relaxing and comfortable. It started with superb communication and attentiveness from our "superhost" and just got better and better from there. This suite has the quality of being a home away from home in the best possible ways. It is cozy and comfortable and offers you so many ways to enjoy both the surrounding area and/or your stay at the suite. The suite is very private and peaceful, yet with the most attentive of hosts if there is anything you need or hope to discover about the area. We are definitely hoping to return and I would say that this suite is definitely amenable to longer visits if you have the time! Thanks so much Deborah! We had a fabulous time -- and can't wait until next time!

Lovely stay with everything you’d need. Photos accurate and the rooms were nice and clean. Very quiet and a lovely tranquil backyard and fire pit area to enjoy nature. We didn’t swim in the gorgeous pool or use the hot tub but are hoping to the next time we stay. Definitely recommend this spot! The hosts were very response and accommodating. Thank you!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. Jennifer thought of everything a cottage needs and then some. The weather was not ideal the weekend we went but we were still able to do so much! The games under the TV came in handy along with the hot tub. Jennifer truly has everything you need in the kitchen - spices included! We ate at the highland social, redneck bistro and the oh-el-la cafe, some of the best food we have EVER had! Everyone in town was also super friendly :) The road to get up to the cabin was scary for us city folks the first time but after you do it once, it comes with ease! We cannot wait to stay here again and again!

We had a very lovely and peaceful time at Mike and Rosa's lakeside cabin. The cabin was incredibly well decorated and well equipped. So many thoughtful touches from the hosts, even including snacks for us to enjoy! We were so happy to have popcorn for our movie night on the projector and s'mores for the fire pit. We made great use of the kayak and paddle board on our stay and were very comfortable in the cabin. My dog also had a great time and I really appreciated the dog bowls and towels on hand! The location is just lovely and private. I could not recommend staying at this cabin enough and I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you Mike and Rosa!! We really had the most wonderful stay!

Myself and my family spent a great memorable weekend at Slav's place on the lake. The house and settings were perfect. The place was clean and new, without clutter, and still very comfortable. The host was proactive and very responsive. Thank you, Slav and I hope to return shortly.

We had an amazing time at Alison’s beautiful cottage. It felt so cozy and welcoming, with everything as described. We loved the private setting with no one around us. It was the perfect week to enjoy the waters, kayaking and floating around in the lake. Definite bonus that the cottage is pet friendly as we always love to include our fur babies when travelling. The place was super clean and comfortable. Alison was amazing in her communications and replied right away to any questions or inquiries. She even brought over a hose for us when we asked. Thank you so much for having us and we look forward to coming back to Closs Crossing next year! Highly recommend!!

Such an incredible property surrounded by nature. The location is perfect, just a short drive into town. I highly recommend sleeping with the windows open listening to the flowing river & the wildlife in the background. Kate is a very thoughtful host who made sure us & our two dogs were comfortable throughout our stay. This place & its beautiful gardens is a true escape from reality! Cant wait to come back again.

We stayed for a quick weekend getaway to get some R&R. Joe's place was just what we needed. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The cabin is tiny, as advertised, but we travel light so it was no problem for us. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy, and Sharbot Lake is a quick 10 min down the highway. The outdoor shower at the site is THE BEST - nature at your back and hot water on demand. The composting toilet was a little daunting at first, but Joe provides super clear instructions and it turned out to be the best campsite bathroom of all time. We'll be going back next time we need a break from traffic and skyscrapers.

We were a group of lifelong friends up for a long weekend and this place was just an amazing backdrop for a long overdue reunion. The space was impeccable, the lot was beautiful and the wood-powered sauna & hot tub were well-loved. Everything was as described -- the first person that arrived simply said "this place is incredible." The manager was super responsive and really friendly and helpful as we figured out the sauna. We've been home and hour and are already talking of booking May 2026 ... now. The place is really pretty, well-appointed and we were thrilled with the weekend.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!
