It is equipped with kitchenette (larder fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster but no oven or hob), shower/washroom, small sofa, mezzanine level with double mattress, wood burning stove, television and private outdoor seating area with bike lock-up. Two excellent village pubs within 100 yards serving delicious home-cooked meals.

Relax in this lovingly restored stone built country cottage, to be found at the end of a,resident only, tarmaced tow path. Situated on its own private island, alongside the Chesterfield canal, beside a working lock. The front faces the lock with its comings and goings of canal boats. Perhaps a dozen boats will pass through in a day, all with a friendly crew and a story to tell of their journey. A few private moorings too. The rear of the property looks out to an uninterrupted rural landscape.

This beautiful property is the South Wing of Edwinstowe Hall, constructed in 1701 for the First Earl of Scarborough. The property a stone’s throw from Sherwood Forest and neighbours Saint Mary's Church, where legend has it Robin Hood and Maid Marion were married.
