Family-friendly holiday rentals in Napo

Daily visits from donkey Margarita & black lab Carbone were added pleasures to our stay. Felipe was responsive to hot water issue. Took guests to church on property. Explained history of property, Quito and Ecuador in general. He was extremely kind and helpful. Picked up & transported us back to airport for reasonable fee. Modest but lovely home.

Such an amazing value for such a big place in such a beautiful location. You basically get your own private compound, which for the three of us, was more than enough room. If anything was needed, Pablo was a text away, and the main part of the lodge (restaurant, bar, pool) is basically across the street. The unit is equipped with some of the best WiFi I found in Ecuador, which was a pleasant surprise as we were in the middle of the rainforest. Pablo and the rest of the staff at Huasquila were excellent, and beyond hospitable. We checked in super late, and Pablo waited behind to make sure we knew exactly where to park, and to help us with our stuff. The lodge is actually closer to Cotunda than Tena, just a fair warning. We drove to Tena routinely and it took less than 30 minutes. Archidona is another, closer hub with food and shops. The area immediately surrounding the lodge is basically trails, caves, rivers, caves with rivers in them, etc. Basically an outdoorsmans’ paradise. Along with that, you do get bugs sometimes near the sliding glass doors (mainly outside the lodge) but you kind of have to expect that in this location. Just be aware that you will be staying in a lodge in the Amazon rainforest. Another awesome perk was the breakfast offered by the lodge every day. Pablo and the staff even brought us breakfast to our house because we were the only ones staying at Huasquila at the time.

La Hacienda is beautiful, very welcoming and has all amenities. In addition, it has a beautiful visit to the valley and the garden is very well maintained. Francisco is very kind and attentive to everything. It really is a beautiful place to breathe fresh air, disconnect, and at the same time enjoy a very nice house.

Definitely a very pleasant experience, the house is beautiful, huge, with all the comforts, comfortable rooms, very quiet environment. The attention of Ivan, the housekeeper, was excellent, always attentive to what we needed, helpful and very kind. Thank you so much for everything 🙏🏼 I hope to come back again.

It was a relaxing and quiet stay, the house is old but very cared for, Maria Agusta was an incredible host always attentive to our needs, we really had an incredible time, just what I needed with my family, a place nearby to be able to mobilize us in different times and at the same time we feel away from everything. Our jungle getaway was amazing! Las Heliconias offered us a peaceful and cozy retreat, just steps from nature. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with spectacular views. And those windows... spotless! 🪟 The host was always attentive to our needs, and the hotel staff was very friendly. I recommend taking the opportunity to leave your luggage and explore the city before check-in time. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature!

Michael and Edith welcomed us with open arms. The communication about details about the location and our arrival in advance of the trip was outstanding! We loved the river next to the place and the location in general, it felt as if we were in the middle of the Amazon. Whenever we had a question or needed help they were available and even offered a guided jungle hike and the ritual of taking guayusa. Thank you so much, our group of 10 had an amazing time!

Our trip to the treehouse was cut short due to a flight issue but Felipe did everything he could to make sure we had a great time. Our girls 4-6 were looking forward for weeks to be there and were not disappointed, they will be bragging to their friends for years about Margarita Felipe recommended a lil burger stand up the street which hit the spot perfectly with our late arrival.

A beautiful, different plan. It's great for relaxing and disconnecting. My wife and I escaped for a full day and doing little but doing it in beautiful facilities in a beautiful place was just what we needed. Ideal for taking your food, prepare it and relax in the tents overlooking the Cotopaxi and a bottle of wine.

Luisa is a very welcoming and thoughtful host, made us feel right at home :) The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed and was very cozy and charming. The grounds are beautiful and food was delicious. When we stayed there were hammocks to lay in while we listened to the sounds of the birds. A great escape from the hectic modern world :)

This is part of a large lodge that has multiple units and a shared reception area that has the restaurant, lounge space and leads down to pool. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. The lodge is luxurious compared to the rest of the area. I am new to the amazon and was not prepared for the bugs. Was a neat experience and they do a great job cleaning the units clean and as many bugs out as possible. We were given fans for the rooms. They have a couple dogs that roam freely which we loved and a mischievous little animal who hangs out there who will go thru ur things if you’re not careful. The staff are all super welcoming and are hospitable. They arranged a night walk they the jungle for us (extra $) which was a frightening yet cool thing to do. Puerto mishualli where u can get boats on the river is only five minutes by car.

It is a spacious apartment with everything you need to stay as a family. Clean pool and they were very hospitable

This estate reminds me a lot of the Casita de Encanto - very nice, everything is well cared for, with everything you need to spend a few nice days with the family! Catalina and her team with very kind and attentive, and the pool is spectacular! Thank you very much!
