Very cute cottage in a beautiful quiet area. Rustic and charming property and gardens, and both Suzanne and her husband were lovely hosts. Super welcome basket of local produce and Suze had loads of recommendations. Ideal for a tranquil getaway, walks into the country on your doorstep and easy to get to the nearby towns if needed.

We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

Such a lovely place to stay. We only booked for two nights and wish we had been there for longer. Lots of really interesting features (a suit of armour! A harp!) in a well stocked house. Very comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful views (we especially enjoyed all the bird nesting in the eaves), gorgeous interior, starry Dark Skies and nice hosts - what's not to love? Great parking. Wish we could have had a few more nights, to check out the pub just down the road.

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Richard was a friendly and welcoming host, very prompt at replying to queries and offering advice. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. The pool and hacienda were a fantastic bonus when the weather was wet. Three generations visited and all highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property!!

Beautiful property. The house is huge—we joked that we probably wouldn’t use all of the rooms—but we did. The whole experience felt luxurious—seriously, a pool? We had trouble with the sauna—better directions would be helpful—but the issue was addressed speedily. And I don’t know why people complain about the lumber yard; we noticed nothing. Hats off to Phoebe and Jan!

House was great as our families could be on their own level for the bedrooms. House was clean and beds comfortable. Ample space for our three cars and the lawned areas were great for the kids to play. Plenty of cupboards, large utility.

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

The cottage was beautiful with amazing views. Beautifully decorated with well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean. 2 minutes drive to the village with 2 great pubs and a very well stocked village shop. Highly recommended. if we're in the area again, would definitely stay again.

It was a great place, well located for Shrewsbury town centre with a pleasant walk along the river to get there. I would definately stay here again. Note: finding the property can be tricky when following 'sat nav', and working out how to reverse a car into the off-road drive required a bit of strategic thought, but that all seemed to add to the experience! We had a lovely stay, the cottage and the sun house with pizza oven is all done beautifully. We had a cosy evening by the log burner and also a nice warm day in the garden. For us it was also very useful to be able to charge our electric car and this made exploring Wales easy. Annette was really helpful and thoughtful on check in.

A lovely little house, beautifully restored, with a great garden/outdoor spaces - don't miss the piano in the shed! (Not in the pictures I think.) Not much to do in the village itself but Hay, the Brecons etc. a short drive away. We've stayed in the house next door as well - they are everything you'd want from an Airbnb, basically!

We really enjoyed our stay in the gatehouse. We were fascinated by the history of the building and found the gatehouse to be cosy and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable. We had everything we needed including recommendations for things to do in the local area. If you are thinking of staying here check out the options for ordering special hampers from the host in advance of your stay. We were sad we didn’t think to do that! I met Laura (the host) as we were leaving and she was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Laura!

Nuthatch Retreat was truly a gem! From the moment we walked in we were blown away. After a week in London, coming to the house was a much welcome retreat. Everything was well thought out and cozy. The recommendations were great and the hosts were wonderful about communicating. Our absolute favorite part of the house though had to be the owners sweet cat who would pop up for some belly rubs. We have already talked about wanting to come back in the future!

A great host and a lovely home. Every bit as good as the photos, with a wonderful welcome hamper and everything was there that we needed for our stay.

I've stayed at Carreg Las quite a few times now - the best place to relax and take stock. The view is just perfect and I love it there. I wish I could have stayed two weeks this time again! Brilliant stay! The house was bigger than expected with a lovely large garden. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and was helpful in providing lots of information about the location. The house is in a lovely quiet location with a short drive from Ludlow. Ludlow is beautiful and would highly recommend. Overall, a great air bnb and would highly recommend.

for anyone looking to relax in beautiful countryside, with easy access to the Offa's Dyke footpath and many others, this is ideal. Red kites and many other birds visible at all times, an easy walk into Knighton and the River Teme in an undiscovered part of the Welsh Marches. So roomy and well equipped, it couldn't be better.

Thank you so much for a wonderful four night stay! We had everything we needed and more! The house looks just like the pictures! Excellent communication throughout, if we had any questions. It would be great in future if you left a mop and a bucket as when it was raining we just wanted to keep the floor clean. Also more bin bags are needed or if you're staying make sure to pack some! We would definitely return as we had a wonderful time with lots of lovely memories! Thank you!
