Very professional host and beautiful cottage. The view over Kathmandu is priceless. If you want to get away from the rush and traffic in the city, this is a great option.

Suren is great host, everything was as described in the listing. Big yard and empty space. You can park on the territory. He is very friendly and well managed. This place is highly recommended.

Ram's place was beautiful. 2 great bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Super safe. Big kitchen. Lovely sitting / living room. Hot water. Western toilet. Ram is WONDERFUL. Super helpful - loving bright light. Was there at the airport with a huge smile (even after waiting for us for a couple of hours because we were running late), and got us to his place quickly and safely. Only a 4$ cab ride from Thamel - the tourist hub. Be sure to keep Ram's number handy to give to taxi drivers to get you back home at night. Ram was super attentive - always answering the phone, offering to help with tours and onward travel. We booked one night and ended up staying all week ! We couldn't leave... THANK YOU RAM ! <3

IF YOU’RE READING THIS PLEASE COME STAY HERE! I was fortunate to meet a friend from Norway at a vipassana meditation retreat in America who had been here and told me about it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had and a true gem of Nepal. Kamal, his wife Goma and family instantly welcomed me into their family. I had initially booked for 4 nights not sure what to expect and ended up staying for 12 and I really wanted to stay longer. This place attracts a certain kind of person and I met some beautiful new friends from America and Europe who I really bonded with over the 12 days. From the breathtaking hikes, truly authentic and homegrown meals, intimate meditation/yoga classes every morning and the most peaceful, idyllic atmosphere you could ever dream of, I’m already looking forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you Kamal and family, you are wonderful!

Manish’s apartment was as per the description. It’s a cozy apartment with every facility you need. Cold evening in Kathmandu was not a problem with A/C and a heater making the apartment warm. Security was very nice. Sumit from casa deyra, was also greatwith communication. No hassle in check-in and check-out. Overall, very nice stay. Would definitely book this place for my next visit and recommend for my friends.

We stayed at Pramods place for 3 nights. Mr Pramod was personally available to welcome us. It's an apartment located near the ring road area with easy access to city. We parked our car in the basement and took taxi to explore the city. Hot water was available 24/7. Safe and secured place too.

Situated in peaceful residential area. Google sometimes shows thin lanes as best route. Always coordinate with the owner. He was very helpful. My only concern was that there were no fan in the rooms. Though not required throughout the year in Kathmandu but in June it was hot and humid.

The flat I rented from Andrei and Maria was perfectly in line with the photos and the descriptions. I loved the atmosphere, the neighborhood, and the flat. It was peaceful and quiet, which was great as a contrast to the hustle and bustle of Patan. I highly recommend the apartment. Maria and Andrei were not on site themselves. but the friendly downstairs neighbor took care of my questions and provided assistance when needed.

What shall I say about this place! It was like I was with my family; caring and protective hosts, delicious foods, local traditions, and the company of the little ones of the family unforgettable. I usually travel from city to city when I am in a new country, however, staying with this family fulfilled me so much that I did not feel the need to go anywhere else- so, I spent an entire month that flew quickly in Kathmandu. The house is located in a local area, away from the noise of the rather touristy Thamel where you see more tourists than locals. The Kapan monastery area is the best to stay at. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Kathmandu as it is a genuine homestay experience.

I loved every last moment of my 55 days at Abhaya’s home. A very short walk to many shops and restaurants, but on a sweet back road with a slower pace. The apartment felt warm, comfortable, and private - but with the timely care of a wonderful and friendly family. Everything was available and managed incredibly well. More than just thankful for the experience, I was touched that a family had such time and guidance for someone such as myself - who just happened to make this booking on AirBnb. Thank you so much for everything! For sure I hope to consider this my home base in the future while in Kathmandu, and I do hope to make it back very soon.

I can't recommend this homestay enough! Ram and his sweet family make you feel welcome from day one, but also give you space and privacy to do your own thing. I stayed in this very comfortable apartment for 5 nights and felt very relaxed. I even had the pleasure of sharing dinner with the family one evening. On the day I was supposed to fly something came up and immediately Ram stepped in to help me sort it out. Next time I'm in Kathmandu, I'll be back for sure!

The apartment felt like home the moment I walked in the entrance door. The apartment was spacious and well equipped with everything needed. The location was a pleasant 20 minute walk through a safe and friendly Nepali neighborhood to the Thamel area. The host was superb. He responded to messages in a timely manner, provided information on dinning, shopping, and attractions in Kathmandu.

I had a great stay at Urban Retreat Studio Apartments. It is located in a convenient location of Lalitpur and is very walkable. The room was spacious, open, and very bright with lots of windows. Parbat, the host, was very responsive and quick to answer and accommodate my questions. I'd recommend this place for those looking for a studio apartment in the heart of Kathmandu.

I had an amazing stay with Akash- he was super friendly, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and he was funny on top of it all. Unit looked even better than how it seemed in the photos, big kitchen, great location, and best of all he picked me up from the airport. I’m telling you you if you’re planning to come to Kathmandu this is the place to stay.

Sanjeeb and his family are helpful and nice. House is clean and you can feel as at home. The house is near the street and you can buy anything easily by walk distance. If you like cooking, it is a very recommended location to stay. Would like to stay next trip to Nepal.

We stayed for a month over Christmas and new years and we were very happy and comfortable. The neighbourhood is relaxed and friendly and there are lots of shops around for anything you might need, there is a bus to Thamel and we would usually walk back as it was difficult finding the bus on the way back. The kitchen didn’t have the mentioned oven when we first got there but this was resolved and we cooked/baked a lot during our stay. Rajendra was helpful with anything we needed, he let us do our laundry a few times and you can use the roof to relax but we were content with the private patio :) we shared a wonderful meal on our last night. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

I highly recommend Pasang's place. The apartment is clean and comfortable, the building is safe and secure, and Pasang is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is also in a great location - it's on a quiet street off the main road and is easily walkable to restaurants, shops, etc. This was my second time staying here, and I look forward to staying again in the future.
