The Vestingstad is more than 20 minutes by train or car to the centre of Amsterdam. The bus station is around the corner and will take you to the train station in a few minutes. Naarden is one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands with its beautiful ramparts, waters and picturesque houses near the edge lakes.
