Truly a great apartment! Fully matched the listing. It is sparkling clean and everything has been thought of: tea, coffee, washing machine, you name it. It is in a quiet area, but at the bottom of the mountain there is a nice restaurant to enjoy the sunset. We had to mess with the jacuzzi for a while: it went on every hour in the middle of the night, but the host responded very quickly and was able to explain to us how we could solve this. We had a wonderful stay, I would recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely stunning stay! This oceanfront apartment offers unbeatable sunrise and sunset views right from the balcony — truly breathtaking. The space was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Just a short drive to the city center, yet peaceful and quiet at night. We loved waking up and running along the ocean and sipping wine while watching the sun dip below the horizon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic vacation. Five stars! Lakovos was extremely helpful and very responsive, making everything smooth and stress-free. For a truly unforgettable dining experience, we highly recommend heading into the nearby mountain villages of Drakona and Theriso — the food, scenery, and hospitality are next-level.

Maria was a great host. The air bnb and the view is fantastic. Close to amenities. However, a car is definitely needed to get out of the village!

Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! Firstly Lena made this stay so comfortable and easy, she went above what she needed to and it was so helpful as we were checking in at 1am. The directions were easy and the old town felt super safe to navigate through Secondly the accommodation, I gasped when I walked in, it was so beautiful. The highest ceilings with exposed brick, beautifully clean with water in the fridge, toast, jam, coffee and tea as well as all the usual amenities. Side note - insanely great double glazing to block the noise out! You couldn’t hear anything disturbing (you can hear a bit but nothing extreme, which is crazy as when you open the doors it’s very noisy) Thank you again Lena. For your accommodation as well as the time you took to provide us with instructions, knowing we were arriving so late at night/early in the morning

Highly recommend! Beautiful modern clean luxury apartment that feels like a home. Private driveway and parking. The apartment and views look even better than the photographs. Great location. Fully stocked home with all the essentials and more. The kitchen has everything you would need and more. Stavros is the perfect host. Everything was as advertised in the listing.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Great area within walking distance of 5-10 minutes to town. If you go left you can go towards the newer resort area with bars on the beach. Parking available. Supermarkets and bakery within minutes. Super responsive hosts and helpful.

We fell in love with this apartment and Manos hospitality five years ago and came back 6 times since then. Already booked the next stay before we left. It’s an amazing place created with passion and care. Clean, quiet, beautiful architecture, lovely interior and the most caring host I ever met on Airbnb. Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

The most beautiful thing about this apartment is the beach in front of the door. Go swimming before breakfast, less than 2 minutes by foot. A particularly quiet place with a super nice terrace and views of the sea. And in the evening a magnificent starry sky. There was everything we needed, including a beach umbrella. Everything is newly furnished in a cozy atmosphere. We will be happy to come back, thank you!

Fantastic place in a perfect location, with the best view terrace in Matala! We loved it! A couple of things to note from previous reviews: The indoors are cozy, perfect for a couple, but you will be spending your time on the very spacious terrace overlooking the water across to the caves. Amazing! There is no kitchen, just a fridge and hot plate, but the town is full of great and affordable restaurants. Yum! There is music below at night, but it is not too loud or "thumpy," and we slept comfortably with the windows open listening to the music mix with the waves. Lovely! If you are thinking of just day-tripping to Matala, I urge you to think again because the night life is a big part of the fun. And George's place is perfect to enjoy it. Built into the hillside, giving the feel of the hippie caves but with the luxury of a comfy bed and bathroom--and that terrace!--we couldn't be happier with our choice. If you have a hippie soul, you will love charming Matala. Efcharisto, George!

We had great stay at Maria’s place, Maria was very responsive and gave few advice to travel. Very much recommend this place to stay if you are in this area. Thank you Maria to having us.

Chrysa is a very friendly and helpful host. She answered all our questions very fast. The apartment was very clean and just like in the pictures. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Probably one of the most amazing places you’ll stay anywhere! The attention to detail when the unit was remodeled, and the furnishings and extras added to make your stay comfortable, are incredible. It is located right in the middle of a vibrant area full of outdoor restaurants, music, and shopping. The hosts are extremely responsive, we were late getting in but that was not a problem. During our stay we unfortunately encountered one of the red dust storms that Chania periodically receives, but they came the next day and cleaned the outer areas. We were lucky with the parking the first three nights, but for some reason the fourth night was a challenge however we did eventually find a garage about 15 minutes away. Also, I would not recommend the unit for younger children or someone unsteady on their feet as the stairs in the unit are quite steep especially to the roof, and there is no washing machine though a laundromat is just a few minutes walk. Would absolutely stay again!

Mike was great from the start…we booked last minute and he texted me immediately. He made everything very easy and was extremely friendly when we got there to check in. He showed us everything about the apartment that we needed to know and gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and to see the best sites. The rooftop space was beautiful and the apartment was very close to everything in the area… We were able to walk to everything! I would definitely recommend staying there… Thank you, Mike!

The place was very nice and as described. Daniela was very warm and helpful. We only lacked a little more cooking equipment, as we occasionally wanted to cook and were then somewhat limited with a pan. Basically, we can highly recommend the apartment and will be happy to come back. Thank you very much.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Beautiful place and great host

We loved our stay at the Alice Villa. Location is truly fantastic for shopping and loads of restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time at the villa when the weather wasn’t the greatest and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Marianna for the wonderful hospitality and the gifts. Have to mention the people we met in the restaurants and on the streets, soooo friendly. We were very sad to leave. Could’ve stayed a lot Longer. Book it, youll love it. Until next time.
