The pictures genuinely do not do this place justice, the apartment was so stunning we didn’t want to leave Grounds are gorgeous and lots of wildlife around, we didn’t do any activities but there’s lots to do at the castle If you’re wanting to eat out in the local town book ahead as the restaurants fill up very quickly

We enjoyed our stay at Nadia’s place very much. Despite its very central location, the apartment, which faces the rear of the building, is pin drop silent. Comfortable bed, everything was super clean. When in Edinburgh we’ll definitely want to come back.

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location with lots of cafes and restaurants for meals if you don’t fancy cooking and within 15 minutes of the city centre . Ideal for a city break to explore Edinburgh

Lisa's place was so comfortable, clean and brilliantly located. She was responsive and helpful. Be prepared for stairs. The living space is beautiful with lots of seating and a wonderful view. The kitchen is well equipped and bright! Next time we come to Edinburgh we would love to stay again. Thanks Lisa

Just sublime. Gorgeous location, all the necessities within the accommodation itself (I know everyone mentions it, but the care package really made such a difference after a long journey) - dare I say suspiciously cheap, but we left having nothing but a wonderful time. Access to the Pentland Hills a mere 10 minute bus away, Edinburgh not much further. Penicuik was lovely itself - the estate was a lovely evening walk, public transport was excellent, and I won't name names, but we had the best curry we've ever had here. Darrin was responsive, communicative, and the attention to detail just wonderful - leaflets and maps of the local area as suggestions, a first aid kit (came in useful for some post-hike blisters!) - we hope to return as soon as we're able. As a couple that aren't particularly well-off, the cost of Edinburgh accommodation was daunting, and almost wrote off our ability to visit - so thank you for making a wonderful trip possible.

We had a great stay! Louise was incredibly responsive and nice, which made everything super easy. The place is spacious and in a fantastic location: the bus takes 20-30min into the City Center but in return you’re just a 5min walk from the beautiful beach! Just a heads-up: there aren’t any doors between rooms, and it gets quite bright in the morning, so bring an eye mask if you're a light sleeper. Overall, highly recommend!

Our stay at Well Court Cottage was amazing. The place is extremely cosy and romantic, and the walkway near the Dene river has all the charm in the world. Simona is a great host, very friendly and available. An absolute gem.

Great for a memorable and enjoyable vacation. The location met all our expectations and needs: In very close and walkable proximity to everything - tram & bus transportation, several supermarkets, restaurants, pubs etc. Felt very safe at all times and very quiet. The apartment met all our needs for us to just focus on enjoying ourselves. It was large and the living room was superb. We could not ask anything more from a kitchen; it had everything for us to prepare any meal. Gail is an excellent hostess and there is nothing else we could ask for. She is very preemptive and proactive in meeting our needs. The only recommendation we have is to convert the bathtub to a walk-in shower, if possible. My wife and I are both seniors and additionally my wife suffers from back and leg pains, resulting from an accident she experienced years ago. Taking a bath was therefore difficult for her but not for me. In spit of this, we would happily re-stay at Gail’s apartment and highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay in Dean’s place. It was beautifully decorated and well equipped. His communication was great. The place was clean and located in a great place where everything was walkable. We would definitely stay at dean’s place again.

This place is fabulous. It was a bit hard to find the exact apartment, lol. But once you find it you feel like you are home. The view of the castle from bed is just as pictures show. Wish the windows had screens so flies didn’t come in. It was warm and I needed the breeze all the windows provided. Elizabeth was very responsive to any and all questions. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect place for a stay in Edinburgh. Walkable location from the train station and to all the major attractions. Lovely apartment. Very quiet despite being so close to the city sites. Veronique lives nearby and was very friendly, kind and helpful. The apartment was well-supplied with fresh items, and not with leftovers from previous renters. So nice upon arrival to see fresh milk, butter, eggs, bread, juice, yogurt, and a full supply of condiments. Just a great place to stay. Highly recommended. Two nearby restaurants we'd recommend are an Italian restaurant called Amerone, and a French one called Chez Jules. Both excellent and reasonably priced. Busy, so booking ahead is recommended. We used a private driving service, LR Executive, for a day trip out to the highlands. Very expensive, but it was a great way to see the area and do some hiking. They allowed us to plan our own journey and stops. Ask for Andy--a great guide and driver.

Really enjoyed our time here, places was excellent and Fiona was very responsive and helpful. A mile or so away from the real busy areas which was perfect for us as an easy taxi or a nice walk. Recommended.

My wife and I stayed for a while at this beautiful place. We absolutely recommend it here. So nice, clean, peaceful and beautiful. Geoff & Marie made us feel at home 🏡 the entire time. We will definitely be back again.

This is a small flat that is completely updated. The host is PHENOMENAL! Genuinely concerned about your stay and tries to make everything convenient and pleasant. We stayed here with our daughter and her boyfriend. Apartment is extremely well appointed! Only downsides are the space is small / a bit tight for 4 adults. 3 minute walk from rail station is a plus, but front door and entrance are kind of grim. Apartment is one flight up and SO much nicer than the entrance - do not be discouraged!!!

Fantastic accommodation in a little seaside town. The apartment is a really good size for two people, it was really clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a long weekend. The location was nice and quiet and although on the high street, it was away from any of the usual centre of town noise, there were loads of car parking available and we managed to park right outside every time. The apartment is on the first floor and you can overlook the Main Street and car parks, so your car is always in sight but the surrounding area did feel safe. One of the positives of the area is the proximity to the train station which takes you directly into Edinburgh, the town has a few good eating options and I found some great little walks. Jo our host was fantastic in communication, had great local tips posted throughout the apartment and is really friendly and easy to communicate with. Overall no complaints and we would definitively stay again.

Great location. Clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Only short walk to grass market area, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

A beautiful and spacious apartment. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Very impressive views. It was very easy to get a bus into the centre of Edinburgh. We really appreciated and highly recommend the jacuzzi bath after running the Edinburgh Marathon!! Bulhar was great with communication. Also some extra touches were really appreciated - shampoos,conditioner and shower gel and other toiletries available to use in the bathroom. Also some soft drinks and teas and coffees available as well, which was very generous. Would definitely recommend this lovely apartment.

The Secret Orchard is a substantial, historic building. Fabulous inside, with modern fitting but still retaining many of the original features. Very comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the garden (Matt's tomatoes made me jealous). My wife thought the chickens, running free, were gorgeous.

This was a large, comfortable apartment, perfectly located for walking all over town.

The place was perfect for my family of 11 with spacious bedrooms. The facility is very well maintained with very good attention to detail. The host is also very accommodating. Location is in the middle of Edinburgh and Glassgow at a lovely little settlement in a beautiful country side. Would definitely stay here whenever I visit Scotland again.

Great place. wish we could've stayed longer!

Beautiful apartment. Was greeted and warmly welcomed. All the essentials were left for us in the kitchen including bread, butter, milk and even bottle of Prosecco to accompany us in the luxurious hot-tub. Worth the stay if you are visiting the area!

Lindsay’s place is within a few blocks of the royal mile and the airport tram. We found an Italian restaurant a few blocks away on the same street which we fell in love with. We did know that we needed to store our bags prior to check-in. We did it at the train station to find out when we did check in, we could have done it a few doors down from Lindsay’s place.
