The apartment was extremely clean, very comfortable, and modern and stylish. It's a quick drive into downtown Muscat with easy access to the major highways to get in and out of the city. Abdulaziz was also an incredible host who was always in immediate contact about any questions we had and offered some great recommendations for things to do in Oman. “Terrific villa with large bedroom & own bathroom (separate from bedroom). Comfy queen size bed with ceiling fab, A/C. Access to kitchen which is great for fruit, yogurt etc. I used the stove as well to cook eggs! Super friendly hosts, helpful & a cute puppy in the house (in case you have dog allergies!). Nice small swimming pool adjacent to the villa with 4 sunbeds. Rooftop deck. A terrific value. You meed to drive or use taxis - no access to central area with shopping malls etc as freeway has no sidewalk. Hosts were helpful with booking Otaxi as the other taxis are outrageously pricey. There is now a bus to the Grand mall but it’s a 20 min walk to bus stop. It’s cheap & I used it to get into the mall, runs every half hour. Times are posted at bus stop. Muscat is very spreadout, no actual downtown or centre. Fabulous people, helpful & friendly.”

“Although Qantab is considered part of Muscat, you can only get there by taxi. However, according to Muscat, it seems only by car you can move around, public transport is not visible there, as well as pedestrians. :) The owner Ahmed was very kind. He allowed us to settle right in the morning, so we immediately went to watch the sea while the girl cleaned the room. We felt completely safe. Ahmed kindly took us to the tourist office in the evening in the city, bought a SIM card and advised an interesting Omani restaurant. It makes sense to buy an Omani SIM card in order to call a cheap taxi using the OTAXI program. Well, or rent a car there. The roads are beautiful. The beach in Qantab is small, but local fishermen in the morning for 15 reais will be taken to neighboring deserted sandy bays and you will be there like Robinsons. They will pick you up in as many hours as you wish. Take at least 5 hours at once! - there it is interesting to look at fish and crabs along the rocky shores. Unfortunately, in the village we found only 2 C0fe-Shop? where you can only eat American food (burgers and chips and Coca-Cola) is cheap. But you can cook on the tiles in the apartment or go to a restaurant. Muscat has a lot of fish, order sharks or cuttlefish or mackerel ... The house (private. For a family but looks like a mini hotel) is magnificent! Everything is new, beautiful bed, hot water. You will be awakened by the singing of birds in the neighboring palm grove and prayer from the mosque, and surround the dark mountains. There is not much green there, everything is under watering, all around there are only stones. And the sun! and very deserted. Recommended with all my heart!”
