Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Murray River

What a beautiful place to relax and explore the area. Every window in the house had a serene outlook - looking over the dam, out to the highland cows, over to the sheep and lambs; with so many places to sit a relax - by the fire pit at the edge of the running creek, comfortable chairs in a number of nooks inside and out. We really felt at home. Thank you.

This little peace of heaven was perfect for our family to celebrate my 40th birthday. From the moment we walked in the front gate to see the house amongst the gum trees and then the waterfall from the bedroom. We felt like we stepped into an old fairytale world with our own treehouse. Everywhere we walked felt like little fairy’s were waiting to greet us. The ferns throughout and stepping stones between each area made for the best adventures. The kids loved watching the frogs and tadpoles in the back pool. The natural pool was incredible and soul nourishing. Our first experience with a natural pool and it was breathtaking, especially being able to swim under the waterfalls. Thank you so much Sarah, we hope to return sometime Soon.

This was my second stay at Treetops, and it was just as great as the first time. Waking up in the morning with the birds and the light shining through the big round window in the bedroom upstairs was magic. It is a very peaceful environment, the best remedy for recovering from the hectic life in the city. We spent the days bushwalking and exploring the Lerderderg Park and in the evening enjoyed the warmth and coziness of the wood fire stove in the living area. And in addition to all this, we were able to walk to the local coffee shop for a caffein hit....

Our stay at Jack's place was enhanced by the lovely view and the quiet area the house is in. it served all our needs and the fire box was a lovely luxury.

Thanks Geoff for creating such a beautiful place especially with all the interesting rustic things you've collected in the terrace. We were amazed with your attention to detail. Geoff even had the radio set up outside, so we were welcomed with some nice music when we arrived. Sitting by the fireplace outside at nights and playing scrabble with our son, stargazing whenever clouds cleared, watching the kangaroos coming near the property, going for short bike rides around the bush, exploring the peaceful surroundings and little towns like Meredith, Steiglitz, and the wineries in the Moorabool Valley (Clyde Park is a gem!) were the highlights of our two nights weekend getaway. It's not easy to find places to take our dog, so special thanks for being a pet friendly property as well! Highly recommend Geoff's place even for a short stay, you won't regret it!

We loved staying here for our mums weekend away. The views are amazing, the house was cozy and close to all the local attractions. We loved sitting by the fire in the afternoons watching the incredible sunsets. The house was perfect for what we needed, the kitchen was set up so well and had everything we needed to cook our own meals.

My experience with the hosts was excellent and the property was even more beautiful than the photos. The house was huge and everything you could possibly need and want was provided. We arrived to a roaring fire, a fridge stocked with generous breakfast provisions and a freshly baked cake which was a lovely touch. The beds and furnishings were very comfortable and a phone charger provided which was great as I’d forgotten mine! I would highly recommend the property and will definitely be back. We had a very comfortable stay at Fiona's. It had everything we needed. So warm by the lovely fire and plenty of firewood. The beds are extremely comfy and I loved the beautiful views of the farm and countryside. The peace and quiet was so welcome and we both wished we could have stayed longer to investigate the surrounding areas. We did see a lot though in 2 days. Loved the lake out at Eildon, the views are spectacular. I can highly recommend a stay at the farm. Thanks again Susan and Ian

The house & unit suited us perfectly (6 adults & 4 young children). There was lots of room both indoors & out for the kids (they made great use of the swings/slide). Plus a lovely big table for us all to eat at & great for group board/card games. The extra unit was very a lovely, quiet retreat if needed. The hosts were super responsive whenever I contacted them & when we had an issue (they came to sort it out immediately). Many thanks for contacting me immediately about an item left behind! The added extras of games for all ages, chopped wood for outdoor fire-pit, good supply of basic things (like oil, spices, salt & pepper, dishwasher pods, toilet paper) was great. Amazing views in all directions!

We had such a lovely and peaceful time at Robert’s sanctuary; we particularly love the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. Robert was so thoughtful to light up both before we arrived late at night, and we felt welcome and cared for even though we never met Robert throughout our two-night stay. We can see ourselves visiting again when we drive between Sydney and Melbourne and stay for several nights to chill and unwind. Thank you for a lovely stay and your hospitality, too.

Selina’s Airbnb is hands down the best place I’ve stayed in Melbourne an absolute gem! From the moment I booked, communication was smooth, clear, and incredibly friendly. Selina was always quick to respond and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect for my stay. The space itself was immaculate spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. You can tell she puts a lot of thought and pride into every detail. The little touches made all the difference, from the soft linens to the well-equipped kitchen and cozy setup that made me feel instantly at home. What really stood out was how Selina went above and beyond. She anticipated things I didn’t even think to ask for, making the whole experience feel effortless and comfortable. It’s rare to come across someone who is not only a great host but also so genuinely kind and thoughtful. I’ve stayed in many places over the years, but this was next level, thankyou Selina, for creating such a welcoming and memorable experience!

Such a lovely, relaxing place to spend a weekend catching up with friends! The house was beautiful with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

We were so impressed as a family how awesome this placed would be, the kids played Pool, ping pong, took advantage of all the activities offered, it was so well thought out, being able to bring our 2 dogs was amazing, we walked them everyday and they loved exploring. We will become back for sure. Thank you.

Perfect location. Beautiful river view. Well-maintained and clean house. Bit disappointed with the TV. It would be better if there were new smart TVs/Google TVs. So we can enjoy watching YouTube/ movies etc. Overall it was the perfect destination for us. We really enjoyed. Definitely will be going back.

We loved our overnight stay at Little Olive! I wish we had been able to stay longer. The details in this beautiful house are so thoughtfully put together – a special mention to the lovely oil diffuser scent and the custom spotify playlist playing on arrival!

Beautiful tiny house on the farm, surrounded by cows, kangaroos and even a wombat! Host made us feel so welcome and the place was spotless. Our pup loved exploring along the creek and playing with the neighbour’s dog too!

This isn’t the first time we’ve stayed on Ronaldo’s family walnut farm and definitely won’t be the last. The property is absolutely stunning, we start every morning with a 2km round trip walk through the orchard to the private river and back. You can kayak or even head down closer to the rock bank to skip some rocks! If you’re lucky the grazing cows let you come up real close and hang out with them. The gardens themselves are stunning with so many autumn colours surrounding the cottage and the sheep love to do some afternoon zoomies which is so cute. We had everything we needed and Ronaldo was extremely accommodating with our needs and messages ensuring we felt welcomed. The stay is also just a 30 minute drive to Bright so close enough to be there daily but far enough for peace and quiet with more of an off grid feeling. Thank you so much Ronaldo, for everything! We will be back again soon!!

I loved my stay at this beautiful studio. It felt relaxing and calm. The views were beautiful as were the gardens that Nicola has created on the property. I highly recommend a stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place is peaceful, beautifully set up, and clearly well thought out. Our favourite part was sitting around the fire pit and cooking up a BBQ under the stars — such a perfect way to unwind. Would definitely come back!
